Man, I love hearing Stevonnie’s theme, especially in this song. Their theme is so different from other characters and yet, it’s so beautiful. It’s very symbolistic and I love that it is.

Tip for the boys, just do falsetto. Don't bring it down an octave, don't strain trying to hit the notes louder than intended, work in that falsetto it you'll give it a very beautiful vibe.
I am not musically-inclined, so I had to look up the definition of falsetto.
Sometimes translated as “false voice,” falsetto apparently means singing at a higher pitch beyond one’s normal vocal range, especially in males. I also found some advice saying that singing “from the throat,” rather than “from the chest,” would help with this technique.
Is that how Zach Callison (Steven’s VA) seems to have an entirely different singing voice compared to his normal voice? While watching the series I was amazed at how he managed to hit those high notes so well - the song at the beginning of “Reunited” (edit: the song's name is "Let's Only Think about Love") immediately comes to mind when thinking of an example.

@@andy_bomb4639 Yep. I decided to sing this song again, using my normal singing voice for Garnet's lyrics, since she sings at a lower pitch(?) (I think that's the right term... probably) than Stevonnie, and using the "singing from the throat" falsetto technique when doing Stevonnie's lyrics, especially when hitting those higher notes (e.g. "I'm losing touch", "All these little things...").
I can't help but get emotional when singing Stevonnie's side of the song, noticing a voice crack at lines like "...suddenly swarming", "I'm losing touch", and "...that I might lose me", as if I'm acting out Stevonnie's emotional turmoil. I'm even consciously telling myself to calm down at "But it's not, but it's not, nut it's not, but it's not" and "It's okay, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay" and I can tell that my own voice sounded like I was calming down as well.
In short, what I'm trying to say is that I have a newfound appreciation for the VAs' singing skills, being able to utilize the right vocal ranges, tones, pitches, and such, in order to properly reflect the mood, message, and intent behind each song and each participant throughout the series, not just this one.

@@smugsuphia7846 hey! just so you know, Garnet isnt singing lower than Stevonnie. they are actually singing on the same pitch/octave. Garnet even sings the harmony higher staring at 2:09.
I hate that everyone here's like "I can't sing this song" while I literally can't sing it because I choke up every time the chorus comes in.

This song helps me calm down, go to sleep, and over all help my mental heath. This may sound stupid, but I’ve learned about from Steven Universe, especially about close family life. Steven universe teaches us about different real serious struggles/problems, unlike some other shows. I really appreciate and respect Steven universe a lot more for this. I want to thank Rebecca Sugar for not only making this awesome show, but also teaching me and many others real lessons that we need to learn, in such a fun way!

that's because this is the official version, while the other just takes the normal song and uses a voice remover plugin, it doesnt work well.
I haven't watched to far into the show but this song actually really helps me when I'm having a bad time with my anxiety it helps me remember to regroup and that one thing is gonna make it all fall apart and it's amazing how good this show is! I'm just starting it but I already love it!😌😌

This is so great! I love the thought put into the video it’s self. In the background (even thought its blurred but that kinda helps be less distracting) you see the scene and it makes it a bit easier to follow. The words show up BEFORE they are sung prepping the singer, they have timers, the colors flood at the actual pace of the words sung. The words are also colored to different people! It’s pretty great, best karaoke I’ve seen so far n.n great job!
