Wow, amazing haul - and beautiful looking hay. Glad to see the view up there!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks
Great looking fields thanks for the ride on the tractor.
Thank you!
Pretty hay!! I can smell it!!
You got that right! Thanks for watching
That’s awesome you got 10 more rolls then last year it just goes to show you what a little lime and fertilizer will do, God Bless
Weather I think played the biggest factor. Thanks for watching
Morning fella glad your having a good hay year!.
Thanks so much!
10 rolls more than Last Year !!! Now Is Very Good 😇👍👍Keep Up Your OUTSTANDING Work and Please Be SAFE MAN ON that Speedy Tractor Cheers 👍👍😇😇🙏🙏🍻🍻
Appreciate you watching
Good vid as always nice looking equipment
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks
Ben, you know what you are doing! Keep up the good work!
I’ll try! Thanks
Awesome video Ben! I always like seeing you and your dad working together! Hay looks good this year, hopefully it’ll be better for the rest of the season as well!
I finished yesterday, pretty pleased with the outcome. Thanks for watching
I enjoy working with Ben. He's not too bossy!
Your equipment looks great Ben, as I watched you mow I thought about the church areas outside the grave yards where you have videoed mowing before homecoming, won’t be long until that has to be done again, I just came back from purchasing fuel for our mowers and my Kubota, I don’t use mine near as much as you do and I don’t like to price that we have to pay at the pump, I can’t imagine your fuel bill for a summers worth of mowing, hay bailing, driveway scraping and property upkeep, I am glad that God is blessing you and your family
Fuel is a big expense but not as bad as it has been the last couple years. I’ve used about 160 gallons. Thanks for watching
Kubota does pretty good on the hillside great video buddy 👍
Yeah it does! Thank you!
I see that you have been getting hay in like I have been getting firewood up. I'm glad that you're having a great start on getting hay
Don’t get too hot working on firewood! Thanks for watching
@@khtractors I won't. And you're welcome
That's some nice thick hay on that strip Ben. I'd wager it got a very good yield but a booger to get dry with all that shade from the trees on one side an the hill on the other.
It all cures out pretty good up there. Thanks for watching
Your Kubota and Massey baler does look nice, having a place to store them helps a lot. I know, I don't have a barn, but I do tarp my baler, it's a 2020 JD 450E net wrap. I had a NH 654 for 15 years that I didn't store inside or tarp and it really faded, good advice on the waxing it and storage under cover. Nice job on the hay, good luck on the rest of the haying. Have a great week!
Yes keeping stuff covered definitely helps! Thanks for watching
Great job Ben and I know where all those fields are and a couple of them very well lol
Yes I’d say you do 😂! Thanks for watching buddy!
Everybody has been saying how much better the crop is this year! Its' all the rain that others are complaining about that's making that grass grow. I'm glad it's going well and hope it's a good year for you! You really have to watch were you put bails at down there because of the hills! That thing would be like a 600-1,000lb wrecking ball rolling down a hill. There's a video where a guy releases/discharges a bale and it rolled down a hill towards some buildings picking up speed, but luckily the guy stacking them was down there on the ball and caught it with his tractor (bale spear) otherwise that bale would have been inside that building!
We didn’t get a lot of rain but it came at the right time. I’m concerned though it’s going to turn off hot and dry now. Thanks for watching
Great to hear you got a few extra rolls...how's dad liking the canopy, it does make a big difference in a field like that where there is very little shade.
I like the canopy. Just hated that he had to spend more on the tractor. It sure helps keeping the sun off. Good investment. (Ben's Dad)
I think Dad answered that question himself. Thanks for watching
@@bennykennedy1786 Thanks' I thought you mite like it...and don't worry he is getting his money's worth out of you worki'n HAHA
You're a hell of a guy to buy a new mower to save owers on the Kubota and then mow a day for Mike for the heck of it
Mike had to go to the doctor the next day so I wanted to make sure he was able to get the hay cut. Thanks for watching
Hay looks great. The MF round baler is impressive year after year. How about a long term video review of it, the good, bad and if you ever had to replace it which round baler you’d buy. Thx!
Yes glad you mentioned that, I will do it! Thanks for watching
Kinda sketchy? Oh my word! You take great care of your equipment
Thanks for watching
Kindly funny how you say these places are too rough for dad to mow and then put him on the farmtrac to tedder and rake it
Using the tedder and rake is a little safer than mowing. I haven't got much experience yet with the mower and I mow with the John Deere which is two- wheel drive. I am glad I don't mow the steep areas. (Ben's Dad)
Ray when I say I’m mowing the rough places it’s because I know where and what to watch for like rocks and such. The Vermeer mower is also built like a tank compared to the Massey and will withstand more abuse if coming into contact with objects. Plus in the steep places having that mower weight hanging off the side is more dangerous and I’d rather assume that risk over him.
How do know when it's ready to dump bale of hay
It has a metering arm and a beeper. Thanks for watching
Hi
Hey!
@@khtractors are you done putting hair up or not
Hey Ben! I’ve got about 75-80 acres on my new m7050 now. In thick hay does yours whine real bad? Mine does and I was just curious if anybody else’s did. It seems like it doesn’t like thick hay very well. All the other mowers I’ve ran have never skipped a beat in thick hay and I could run just as fast as I wanted to. I’ve had 2 1411 discbines, ran my buddies new idea 5209 quite a bit. Had a krone amr280 (cleanest cutting mower I’ve ever seen). All of them ran just fine in thick hay. This one seems like it just doesn’t like it.
Couple things I’d check is your belt tension and make sure the blades were put on all in the right direction.
