This is one of my all time favorite versions of Wuthering Heights and Juliette Binoche is one the most beautiful that Cathy's that I've ever seen and Ralph Fiennes is definitely one of the most handsome Heathcliff's I've ever seen...and the soundtrack is just absolutely,positively gorgeous,haunting and beautiful and why has this has not been put onto blu ray or 4k by now? beats the hell out of me..but it should be!.. This film deserves a full restoration..with the making of,behind the scenes,etc..and this film definitely showed the talents of a young beautiful Juliette Binoche,Ralph Fiennes and Janet McTeer, and again a wonderful film that should be in anyone's library especially if you love beautiful period films such as I do! This is right up my alley!! And I think that it would be up your alley to if you like this kinda film as I do.
Ralph Feines surpasses Olivier and others. His Heathcliffe is outstanding he captures Emily Bronte's vision of the Haunting Gypsy. You can see Goethe from Schindlers List behind those eyes. Food for the Soul.

Sinead O'Connor played Emily Bronte at the beginning of this film beautifully as she stumbles across Wuthering Heights homestead. The soundtrack is very haunting and beautiful. Ive actually touched in this movie movie.

Como vêem senhoras e senhores o filme quase não foge ao livro, e mesmo a versão de 1939, mostrou apenas a primeira parte do livro, mas o amor de H e C isso é fidedignamente exposto em todas as versões lançadas na tv e no cinema. Portanto não romantizaram era assim mesmo.
I first read Wuthering Heights at 12-13 years old nearly 56 years ago. I obviously didn’t know Ralph Fiennes then, but he was Heathcliff in my mind. Lawrence Olivier was a brilliant actor but not quite my Heathcliff.
