Hello from Australia! Thank you so much for this video Marnie, I love watching and learning how to look after my Clivia I am starting to get different colours now and I am excited but impatient for them to flower :)
This is awesome. I noticed one of my Clivias becoming a bit loose in the pot and found out the plant lost large parts of the roots. I treated it the way you showed here. Hopefully it will recover. Greetings from Germany.
Greetings from New York. Wow, the Cinnamon and antibacterial soap are tremendous tips, Thank You! I will try this with a Clivia I have that is struggling.
Thank you for this video. I was looking for a video about this problem. I'm going to do it that way too. Can I ask a question? Can i also keep the potting soil of a clivia too dry? In the Netherlands it is taught that a clivia must have dry ground. I personally believe that is incorrect! That too dry soil also causes the roots to die. I keep them moist. But I did get root rot on some of them. When I see your video it is more likely a fungal or bacterial problem. Is that correct? Kind regards Rene Feedback
@clivias4africac4a80 Thank you for this video! I got myself an established clivia miniata three months ago so I started watching your videos. I came across this video this morning, so I rushed to check my plant because your diagnosis is on point! Lo and behold! I lost a bunch of roots! Because I recently replanted mine out of the nursery pot, I thought I didn't pack it enough or the plant was just top heavy that's why it's wobbly. Out of the pot, I've cleaned with antibacterial soap and basically saturated the roots with cinnamon. Here's my current question: There are four small offshoots top and bottom, do I replant and cover them back up? I don't have supplies so i will go to the local nursery or home depot tomorrow morning. I hope I don't completely kill my plant before I'm able to repot. 🙏

Yes, clean the base of all rotted/dead materials. Sprinkle Cinnamon over the cleaned base, it has anti fungi/bacterial, as well as root growth properties. Replant into new medium and keep lightly moist. Hopefully it will grow new roots for you 🌱🌷
@@clivias4africac4a80 Just new to your channel, thank you for all your instructions, loving your passion and dedication too! Could cinnamon powder be used on the seeds after cleaning them in just water if there is no anti bacterial soap in the house?
@@clivias4africac4a80 My little seedling lost the only 2 roots it had. I found a comment on a clivia-site that said; "Put the seedling in a glass of water (covering only the base of the seedling), untill it gets new roots". When I did this the seedling got slowly 4 new root-bulbs (maybe 5 mm long). Should I replant it now, or should I wait and see if the roots get longer before replanting?
Just to let you and anyone reading this text. I ordered online what was advertised as quote "20 Red Clivia Seeds" from Garden Bowels. What I actually received was 40 unknown seed, which I planted inside in a container, from 1-104 YUPIN GARDEN, ZHEJIANG CHINA. I have had seed producing Clivia Miniata. What I received was and is not Clivia Seeds. Just worthless unknown seeds now 10 out of 40 growing as worthless unknown plants.

Thanks love watching your videos. My plant is in full bloom now in June, inside it’s not hot enough outside in our climate to grow outside
Do you have a video on growing the seeds?

Hi, what kind of potting medium did u use?
Kan mens maar sommer algemeen net bietjie cinnamin op jou grond gooi om die Clevias te boost? Ek is nou maar nuut in die ding.
I separated and repotted a clivia and it lost all its roots recently. Can I save it? How?
Yes, clean the base of all rotted/dead materials. Sprinkle Cinnamon over the cleaned base, it has anti fungi/bacterial, as well as root growth properties. Replant into new medium and keep lightly moist.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience Harold. So unfortunate these dishonest people. I hope you get real clivias soon 🌷
How much water did you add after repotting ?
I added normal water amount, till it runs out below. Once a week
