Done it once and i loved it. Only real negative is it can be lonely.

Learn about BALANCE. Learn to balance things out. I am a loner, I am addicted to my company, I don’t trust people enough to let them into my life so the few solo travels I have done (meeting people temporarily) is perfect for me. I make sure I plan my trips according the calendar of my love ones, like birthdays etc…

    • @NatashaIbrahim

I do balance things. But if you are familiar with my content you would know I move abroad for years sometimes, not just short solo trips.

I know how you feel about not trusting people. It’s often a trauma response. I’m almost 40 and just started therapy for it because it honestly it gets lonely after a while. Just something to think about. I pushed ppl away for years and I regret it.

@@user-uu9yb9wb5b couldn't agree with you more. In my late 20s and just figured how to grnuinely love people for 1st time. The "I don't like people" or "I like being alone" is definitely a coping strategy. People like us that have been through it, have those monents of yearning for friends company when watching something that reminds us of how lonely we are. But thank God, I experienced the fact that the pain, cycles and fears can be broken with a bit of courage

You dont date while solo traveling, you dont network while solo traveling...she's not really solo traveling...if you are meeting people while traveling and connecting with them...thats not solo travel. To me, true solo travel is away from home, and not talking to anyone expect for ordering food, airport, hotel, shops, and things in that nature. Not meeting people along the way. Thats just "Solo to Meet others-Travel"

I started solo traveling back in 2022 when covid restrictions started to lift off. My first trip was the USA 🙂.
I spent 20 days and I really had enough fun that was too much.
My second solo travel was in 2023, to Thailand, and likewise too much fun.
The only time where I felt lonely in both trips is when I returned to my room and before sleeping, and I overcome that when I brought my smart tv kit with me.
All I had to do is plug it in the tv and I enjoyed movies, UA-cam..etc

@@NatashaIbrahim i had quite a revelation after making a leap of faith to solo trek Thailand. Changed everything, frankly. I would call them more of “hard truths” than regrets. For instance, realizing certain individuals in my life will never get this far. But i realized how many good times are ahead of me even @ 30… it is quite a journey ! Thank you for sharing yours .. inspires me to do more to share mine 🤩

I love solo traveling and I love being alone. Only thing I’ve ever been concerned about is safety. Like if something goes wrong, your screwed lol but it is very thrilling and empowering to travel alone. Great video!

Great advice. I've always wanted to travel. But I let the anxiety and fear stop me from going. I guess you could say, I lack confidence. I get flustered in airports, and I'm a terrible decision maker, haha. I just need to face all that and go. Maybe it would change me, for the better. Great video.

Thank you 🙏🏽 I really understand that, I believe this is a chicken or the egg situation, because travel can absolutely build your confidence and help you make better decisions✨ this is your sign to start! Thank you so much for watching 🥰🤍

Tokyo: for the nightlife (Shibuya, Shinjuku)
Kyoto: for the culture (cherry blossom or fall is the best.)
Toyoko-Inn is between $50-$100 (depending on the city) if you take a bullet train and you need to rest for the night in a cheap hotel. Literally near the station (shinkansen). Osaka is subjective, I had more fun in Kyoto. To each their own. Good luck and also Mt. Fuji is pretty rainy so go when its clear or youll end up wasting your money.
    Hope this helps. Konnichiwa ❤
Edit: P.S. Also prepaid cards (Pasimo, suica) will save your life and you can get them at the bus station. They still take VISA but your bank will probably charge you service fees for each use (scammers).

I'm to scared to travel alone especially out of the country I'm OK with maybe going a couple states out alone because I can have an easier time getting back home. Thanks for your video I remember being at an airport as an adult for the first time with my daughter and it was easy process I learned how self sufficient I am and that airport process isn't as hard as I thought it was

I think you have an interesting story worthy of sharing and a lot of us could use that insight. I am aiming to launch my podcast sometime in January and I am currently trying to find people to interview/record with before launching. Please let me know! I hope we can set something up.
