6 years old.. I had a crack version of that game for a long time but I never finished it. Some days ago I found it with great offer 80-90% on Steam and I bought the official one together with another two NFS games. I eventually started playing it and I loved it. I finished it into three days lol
Indeed to be fairs the cut scenes were cool gave me the fast and furious vibes however isn’t my all time favourite need for speed but it did ok at the time
@@McExige True but I think we both can agree the fact that people are saying the new NFS games are not that cool anymore it's not always true. This one was actualy really a good one.
I think it was cool at the time, I feel there’s better need for speeds out there. I think 2015 was the best and will be the best nfs has to offer to be honest I don’t see these new ones doing good at all. The need for speed heat was close enough to greatness as nfs 2015 but 2015 legit could of been the greatest I personally feel the level of what most wanted has and stuff
Still underrated nfs because of Fast and Furious vibes and the story is almost similar to most wanted 05 because in mw we had to get M3 Back and in Payback the regera. Plus the presentation of characters are similar like in mw
Honestly nfs payback is not a nad game at its core the physics are solid the gameplay is honestly really fun even if the upgrade system is iffy at best
@@McExige I don't mind the map I think it's solid at least I can off-road a large portion of the time and there are a lot of solid hairpins to drift on and the city streets are perfect for drag races which another thing I wish was back in need for speed
I am working on getting a new microphone as everyone has been requesting for me to get one. I am trying just going to be a bit longer than excepted but I am planning to upgrade my setup so don’t think I’m ignoring you or anyone else saying this 👊
ah, remember dumping months on this game maximizing everything I could... just off the top of my head in terms of what I know the Porshe 911 RSR and a BMW (M2 iirc) were the #1 best cars in the game for racing. the Rx-7, the Lambo Hurican, and the Derelict ford mustang were the best drift cars the Volkswagon beetle was the best drag car and the Porshe Panamera would eat cop cars alive as a runner car and the derelict Ford Mustang and the Chevy Bel Air were untouchable as offroad cars. _And the BMW M3 GTR was a meme.(it sucked)_
I never got to play it but honestly the amount of bad stuff I’ve heard I’m kind of glad I never brought it and a PS5 for now. I did predict it wasn’t going to be a hit previously when it was first announced
@@McExige the game itself is decent. Not a big fan of the vibe and atmosphere personally but that's me. Biggest letdown is simply the stupidly broken rubber-banding.
I have heard these a few of the NPC cars and some are just stupidly quick. Yeh I mean I know the game is decent does the job but if we are being picky it isn’t the best game then again we as a community of need for speed I feel we deserve to be a bit picky because most need for speed games have been a let down in some way and always lacked one thing which throws the game a bit
@@McExige I forget his name now - Shimizu I think it is. Drives a camo LaFerrari. He could crash out (incredibly rare, dude's like the terminator), drop to a mile behind, and like 30 seconds of me blasting at 230mph later he's back back on my ass/overtaking me. Like WTF is up with that??? Incredibly frustrating.
I dropped Unbound for the horrible and grindy single player progression system that also doesn't carry over to the multiplayer game. Moved on back to Heat and The crew games for "Open world arcade racers" category.
Hey, just bought the game. I have a few questions if you can help. How microtransaction focused is it now in 2024? I took a look at the in game store and thankfully i don't see much going on but i do know you're basically rolling dices to upgrade cars and stuff. Can i still do all that by simply playing? How grindy is it?
@GRGCompletionist Micro transactions are pointless I’ll be real you can grind quite easy and get stuff very easily in game. Only thing I brought was the Range Rover SVR which was amazing to drive thing was quicker than some supercars it’s actually insane. Yeh you can legit get good stuff through RNG. I wouldn’t say the game is that much of a grind, free roam can get boring as most of the map feels empty you’ll understand if you play for a good few hours. Races are good, off-roading in my eyes is terrible I hated it and drag races wasn’t a fan but it’s not a awful game just wasn’t one of those need for speed that really truly hit the vibes. But hopefully this gives you a genuine good insight 👍
@@McExigehey, thanks for the quick reply. I actually enjoy the setting, racing games in deserts is kinda like a guilty pleasure for me so that's not a concern. Good to know that the game isn't too grindy. I did a quick search and it appears that it only has 74 cars and takes about 50 hours for completionists like myself so i'm looking forward to it.
@GRGCompletionist Good stuff yeh hope you enjoy it let me know how it goes. If you need any help I have a discord where all of us are there. Discord: discord.gg/hakHnYstm9
I played it for the very first time a couple of weeks ago. I had really low expectations for the game, and honestly, I didn't think it was as bad as people said it was. I do agree that the map was pretty bland, with most of it being desert, but in a way, I found the map to be slightly better than Forza Horizon 5. The story wasn't terrible either; I liked the Fast & Furious vibes it gave me. The upgrading system wasn't the best though, as it was mostly RNG-based. On top of that, I didn't like how you had to do different things in-game to unlock visual customization. Regardless, I'd give it a 7/10. PS, sorry for the paragraph, just wanted to share my thoughts.
@portal_master520 No it’s cool to share your thoughts, I do agree to be fairs on some of your parts but yeh glad you enjoyed it to be fairs I still played the NFS a lot to be honest.
Playing in 2024
Gamer tag ??
can you play offline open world in this game?
Same here... nfs payaback and heat back to back😅
Same here 💯🤘🏼

True the story wasn’t bad was very heavily based on that year that fast and furious when it came out but it wasn’t bad felt too short
july 2024 Playing Payback :)
Same 🤘🏼💯
Came back to it
How you finding it?
@@McExige great
This game is just 3 years old and nobody can convince me otherwise

decent video, love the narration and gameplay keep it up
@LJ07EBP Thank You So Much Genuinely Really Appreciate This Comment Of Yours 👊

just use a 65 mustang to drift
I've just started playing Payback and I'm liking it...its miles better than Unbound...UA-camrs can be wankers...Don't take too much from reviews...
