  • Combine dirt valley difficulties with a longer track from being a multilap and you get a track where you have to perform well for almost 2 minutes. You are given a bit of room to work with though, in my run a lackluster laps 1 and 3 were made up for with a stellar lap 2. Laps 1 and 3 were still pretty dang good being just a tenth or two behind lap 2 pace, which isn't easy at all, but still lacking compared to the STM pace.
The first turn is quite normal on lap 1. On laps 2 and 3, you might have to slightly set up for the turn by taking the jump in a specific way. Try to jump into it on the left side with a rightward angle and trajectory then drive fully over the grass going close to the inside vegetation.
My backup strat if I failed to do that which was somewhat common was to checkpoint grip instead to jerk myself to the right, but be careful not to overdo it and crash into the first tree. I used the checkpoint grip to start lap 2, as an example since I was way too far right to get the normal strategy working.
For the first checkpoint on lap 1, you can use checkpoint grip to jerk left into the uphill. Laps 2 and 3 have too much speed you want to be sliding before the checkpoint.
Stay to the left for most of the uphill and then push rightward towards the inside over the crest. A relatively new strat is to tap brake right before as you drive towards the top just like on 139. I timed this by looking for the large white marking on the right side of the dirt, it's large enough that you probably won't miss it. I timed the brake to be when the back wheels were adjacent to it. This brake tap lets you take the crest part super aggressively. The timing of it is very important, but the line you take is even more important. If you have a perfect brake tap without a good line, you're not going to have it be fast, so make sure that you're already taking it tight enough before you brake.
The next turn is very important since the speed you leave it matters a lot. At the top of the hill, try to drive over the grass with your left wheels. Don't over do it though, as if you are too far left as you go under the stone arch you might get a massive slowdown.
Steer smoothly right into the turn, trying to avoid putting all 4 of your wheels on the grass at the same time while using all the space you can (outside inside outside). Try to get as much speed as you can for the next part.
Going into the jump, avoid the darker dirt on the left, but also don't go too far right because it gets quite bumpy. You will have to slow down to lower your jump somehow, either releasing, braking, or both. I tried them all and I'd say the best is a small release since it's the least strict to pull off well. This release should happen before your front wheels even leave the ground, which is quite early. This helps the nose of your car get low.
If for some reason you want to brake, time it after your front wheels leave, but before your back ones do.
Land this jump on the left side, but not so far left you land entirely in the bumpy darker part of the dirt. Landing that part with the left 2 wheels on it seems to be ideal.
The 2nd uphill right turn is very similar to the first. Once again I used the white mark on the right to time my brake tap a tiny bit after when the back axle lines up mark.
For the jump, you can tap brake like fana's WR. It's about equal to not doing it I think, so I just didn't bother. You want to land on the middle left side of the lighter dirt here, but the exact landing location is not too important since you can adapt before you reach the final right turn. Make sure to not make last minute steering adjustments before jumping since landing with the car angled left or right is hard to recover from and slower.
Landing a bit to far left means you will hit the frustrating grass bump, so you will have to light right medium left steer to avoid it.
Take a slight leftward angle going into the final right turn. For the turn, I liked to do two/three right taps or one fat right tap into it for the fastest results. You mostly want to let go of steering entirely after that and hope you aren't too tight or wide. Start the turn just before you touch the checkpoint's shadow.
A way safer and easier but significantly slower way of doing in is with more subtle right taps and adjusting as you go.
Try to exit wide, but even if you're just a tiny bit too wide your car will tilt heavily which will kill almost all of your speed. You can get almost entirely on the left grass before a new lap, but make sure to avoid clipping the dirt bank that sticks out.
