Siberian breaks is just unreal
+Thomas Quelin I agree man, such an impressive performance from so many sick musicians.
3 years later and it’s still unreal
Would love to hear em play this Live...what a natural Trip that would be...
@@Oh_I_Will They're going on tour soon! They were playing this song at almost every show on their past tour too!
Totallyyyyyy
One of the best songs ever
I agree!
One of my all time favorites
@@marksevillano3432 my name is also Mark :)
It’s great…best ever….nah
Undoubtedly...
Siberain Breaks is peak MGMT, their creative apex to date.
What about Metanoia...
Audience: *starts clapping*
Me: "Oh, it ain't over yet boi..."
LOL
😂😂
Haha !
If you are watching this in 2023 then you’re a person I would like to know.

"If you can't save it, leave it dying on the road"
Em Michelle "wide open arms can feel so cold"
FEEL SO COLD
SUCH BRILLIANT LYRICS IN THIS ENTIRE SONG @@SkyBlue222222
Andrew is such a good songwriter.
"And you can sit beside me, and tell me what it's worth" is such a powerful line to me, from how I see it he is dealing with a situation he doesn't like, and someone apart of it or maybe the cause of it is trying to explain why, but as he says wide open arms can feel so cold.
The longest song I’ve ever heard and I still don’t get bored having it on repeat
I gotta reccomended Pink Floyd man these guys are like a modern version of them
@@Blanaxhe Echoes over twenty minutes of pure masterpiece
metanoia is longer
@@BlanaxheThey’re more like a modern version of the Syd Barrett era. But the London version of “Interstellar Overdrive” is 16 minutes long, so that works.
08:44 the best part of living in the 21th century
TRS amen to that
I came hier(?) for that
that drum fill tho!
They were preparing that part from the start to 8:43, amazing
@@saulbernalgonzalez7724 so cool
Ive never seen a mgmt live performance where Andrew's voice was so loud and clear, and now I wish all of them were like this, its amazing.
Seriously. I actually think I prefer this over the release version
yeaah he sounds so amazing in this performance
"The low tide is telling me that it's over"..
My favourite part
Yeah The low tide is telling me, when it's over,
To breathe in everything exposed
And comes back to cover me with a blanket
Being here's always changing tunes…
The way how he is singing it and how is moving can be a lullaby… so sweet …
my favorite is that whole opening sequence
Me too. That part gives me goosebumps
MGMT's 2nd album is one of my favorites
congratulations is a masterpiece
truly a masterpiece
Classic
The bass solo in the outro is incredible
Right
This is my favorite version of Siberian Breaks. It is so beautiful. I can't even describe the last segment in the song. It's just perfect.
Me too I'm always tripping when I watch them
jeff goldblum on keyboard what a performance
matt foxly haha
funnily enough, keyboardist's last name also has 'gold' in it.
you’re joking but Jeff Goldblum is no joke on piano either😉
Next to the beginning of moon birds and monsters mtv live this is probably my favorite mgmt live performance
Francisco Reyes alien days - from this set, is as well: killerr!
06:27 can't even explain it. oh my god i am so in love
I know 😥😥😥
Once again, I've found love in music
so awesome how andrew did the authentic enunciations to the song, this is a super complex harmony!
this has to be one of the best mgmt songs, I really need to see this guys perform live
leitmotiff you do!!!!
God damn I desperately need them to go on tour so I can finally see them live. Been listening since 2009 and love every single song to death. Unfortunately, never got to see them live but hoping that finally happens!
Kerplunkers honestly same I can't choose a favorite song they are all so good. I would love to meet them and see them live.
yay, they`re on tour now
damn this is even better than the studio version
Definitely. They were on point with this performance, which isn't surprising considering Andrew has gone on record saying Siberian Breaks is his favorite song out of all their discography.
@@matthewr2296 They were in the zone here, awesome performance!
Yes definitely
This song is a gottamn *masterpiece*
They sounded great live through a screen, I can hardly imagine how unreal it would be to see this song live in person 🥲
Whoa, a modern piece with complex structure that is not try hard? Pinch me, I must be dreaming!
I'm looking at Muse for the try hard complex structures
fuck off. The first two Muse Albums shit on anything you'd ever dream of writing, then wake to find you're as useless as you always knew you were, even if you tried, fuckwit.
+tailtaptailtap you must be fun to be around
tailtaptailtap Muse doesn't care about music experimentation, they just like to flash their dicks on stage.
+Charles Stiles Mystery Diners oh but I am.
The best song of MGMT if us will detach from listening "Little Dark Age" "Kids" or "Electric Feel"
So true
Siberian Breaks is easily one of my favorite songs of all time and this is an absolutely stunning performance to say the least
Sleep as the goer
The bridge that watches the light speed through
And cries while the spirit stumbles
The inside missile for the protection of you
Maybe it's silent
The voice can't bear anymore strain
But speaks without even knowing
And streams outside in the direction of truth
There's no reason there's no secrets to decode
If you can't save it, leave it dying on the road
Wide open arms can feel so cold
So cold
Feel so cold
Balance the books, the ledges, the loons
The disappointed look on the faces
That squint at the moon
Let's see it with shadows enhanced
And then vote to decide who'll advance
Silver jet plane, making a turn
Exciting the brain that expects it to crash and then burn
It's not the life lesson I'd've guessed
If you're conscious you must be depressed
Or at least cynical
But someone might still eat the steaks
Even if they're tough
Spending the day
Chewing the fat
Floating away isn't rough but it's not enough
Oh Marianne, pass me the joint
The sandpaper's tan
Go-getters are surfing the point
And London's a scratch on the lens
It's over before it begins
Silk 'round her neck falls down to her shoulders
The older I get, the more I suspect there's a trick
But really there's no trip at all
That doesn't result in a fall
Or a faltering
But something could spit out the bait
Even if it's real
Rolling away
Missing a spoke
Close to the ground like a wheel but it's not a joke
Holding the line
Clutching the phone
Nobly wasting the night, but it isn't right
It's not right
Smelling for blood
Praying for rain
Running away isn't rough, but it's not enough
The low tide is telling me, when it's over,
To breathe in everything exposed
And comes back to cover me with a blanket
Being here's always changing tunes
The empty sky surrounds me but I can't see at all
Wide open arms can feel so cold
And you can sit beside me and tell me what it's
Worth
But I hope I die before I get sold
I hope I die before I get sold
I'd rather die before I get sold
If you find the soul that you lost
Frozen in a starry void
Take it within and hope the sight of blood
Can will signs of life to return
Back to the way that it was
Long before it made a noise
To keep on quietly reminding you
What's never created or destroyed
Wake as the swell peaks
The close-outs drowning the birds with roars
And howls scare the new unkindness
That picks and laughs at the carrion scene
Forces you see breath can always go into hiding
And wait 'til it passes over
Or stay far gone for all eternity
This beautiful thanks for this
And here we are, over 10 years after the release of this absolute masterpiece. It's going down in history as one of the greatest songs ever performed. Their Magnum Opus.
13 mins of pure bliss ,
pink floyd of our time
listen to the voidz
The lyrics are very Doors esque for me
Been saying this for years!
I respect your opinion but - No.
Dont say shit man, pink Floyd isnt even from this world, from this universe, from this timeline
Has to be the best song ever written
Have literally just come across this song. So much good music around these days it's easy to miss tracks like this.
They ended the set with this in SF last night and it was unreal. Blew my expectations out of the water
this is my favorite song probably of all time, ever since it came out, and somehow i’ve never heard this version. what the hell this is amazing!!!!
This still hits.
Love the synth part so much
The synth part is my favourite too :) it's amazing when your in a car at night
This is a really nice video;) even moving a bit. I think they are all much more comfortable in a small venue.
best song ever.
andrew's songwriting skills are..... unique.
I’ve been looping this so much, it’s so beautiful
Siberian breaks and Metanoia are my mental enlightening songs.
This is my go to tripping out song😉
Really their best song....so soothing...

There will be no better artist in XXI century than the MGMT
this will last long after the dust has settled
Best MGMT song.
How can I define this level of beautifulness. Undescribable...
Beautiful

@@ItAllMakeSenseNow82 How's it going so far?

@@ItAllMakeSenseNow82 haha hell yeah man. I love the keyboard during that part, wish it was louder in the studio version.
Wow this sounds so better live
A lifetime in a song 🖤

The period actually goes inside the quotation marks.

Dominic 'Beardom' Bennett Actually it doesn't. Go to school. God...
Gives me a Pink Floyd vibe and I love it!!

2:16
lovely stuff
Amo esta canción muchísimo.
Don't know why but my heart skips a beat when he sings "London's a scratch on the lens".
6:26 to 8:41 to me it's like an ancient fairy tail that is going to end with an important lesson for someone that treated bad to others. Cheers
The ending so dope!
i still watch it ad enjoy it today and it makes me very happy
Essa música é muito boa, como é que existe uma banda tão boa assim Senhor? Ahhhhhhh
This song is becoming my favorite of this wonderful album❤️
work of art
los pasajes y transiciones me hacen acordar a genesis en sus primeras epocas. bastante teatral
Está rola es impresionante ✨
The Best SOng ever. wow this video was published same day of my birthday.

Wonder if Bowie liked MGMT
Has will berman always played harmonica in this song?? Gosh I love them even more because of that

Donnie Darko?
I love this so much💙🌊
9:31 so good bro that transition after that beautiful masterpiece
can't decide which is better: this or metanoia. but i like to pretend that SB is just part 2 of metanoia.
my favourite perfomance
got legends status
好听哭了😢现场也超稳!
This is pure genius
Me muero por oírla en vivo. Ya la siguiente semana :')
:'v
umas das melhores da banda!!
10:18 best part
m. night shamalan on the keyboards
Amazing!
he looks like Donnie Darko in this
An early Genesis style
best
I want to be that mic
It's really progressive/psychedelic style. Very similar with Tab on the ocean by Nektar, and better.
LOve it
