Hello, if you click at the bottom toggle change mode you can access track matte, then you can punch a hole in your monitor… I mean then go to edit or layer, track matte and adjust for the selected clip there
I forgot to comment a couple days ago, but it worked. It looks awesome thanks so much. The only thing I could comment on, is that the resolution of the portal isnt the best. It is a little bit pixely and I didnt really know how to fix it. If there is any solution please let me know. Other than that thank you so much it really helped.
What resolution did you do it in? How big is the portal in its portal comp? If the portal is small in its comp it will be small in the main therefore will be more pixelated
Hi, this video is so helpful! I just really need some help with the opacity keyframing, I don't know how to make my car go through the portal instead of on it.
the car should go through it if the portal is tracked correctly. If it doesn’t appear like it is have the opacity 100% going over the first part of the portal. once the car is fully in the portal (not covering the ring of it) turn the opacity to 0 it should then blend to the layer behind it that is inside the portal
@BURZT_YT u can't do portal effects like that also itried using it and icouldent export anything and tried 1million things watch lots of yt to try fix but I'll jaut use cap cut untill ican get after effects
once the analysis has completed make sure you’ve selected the camera tracker and they should show up. if you still can’t see them try re doing the analysis or shortening the clip that your tracking etc it could just be a failure. also i believe you can change the size of the x’s (they may just be too small or inconsistent to see) Hope this helps :)

So the reason is due to the tracking point not being stable. Have you tried reducing or increasing amount of points used to track? Best place is somewhere on the floor that ofc stays in the shot. As well as this you could shorten the bit that you’re trying to track

it’s changed. there should be a selection of layer. select the white layer on the second map clip. if that makes any sense, i can’t remember what it’s called
if the 2nd map is a rectangle than either you’re white layer isn’t a circle or you’ve set it to the wrong layer. for the lasting 1 second part you just need to have two layers for one map. a layer that’s in the portal and one for after. then remove the luma matte from the layer that comes after

Hey at 5:27 I am stuck because when I copy and paste the settings the portal to the other map does not move to the correct position and I am not able to edit it. How do i fix this?
My mask is messing up and is showing a massive white box. Is there any way you can help. I copy the mask from the black solid, then copy the white solid into main composition but its just a massive white box
eeehmmm, try a different replay. See if game needs an update or something. I’ve never seen this issue so my best answer is the classic turn it off and back on 😂

wdym? the green screen layer is visible on top as long as you remove the greenscreen. if you’re trying to align the two maps then just turn the opacity down on the one on top
the movement is a tracking issue. either shorten the length of the clip youre tracking. if not fiddle with the settings of the tracker or use a different clip. some clips just dont rly work

In the replay? It’s a bug i believe. Try restarting game etc and using replay mod to change the explosion could possibly work. If not use the green screened explosion when recording the original map.
@@_JJ_yt thank you bro. Also I recorded my clips with obs and I made sure to record at a certain time in game. When I go into after effects I can never perfectly align my clips. I can always see the trace of a car from another clip in my main clip if you know what I mean. I don’t know what to do 😢
Erm. Firstly make sure when trying to align them you’re going to full zoom so you can move it by frame. If it’s still slightly off then i’m not too sure what you could do other than trying to record it again from different time stamps etc. I think it’s an fps issue which may be easy to hide depending which layers are lapping and by how much. The odd knock on a green screen isn’t too bad, just set it to only appear when you need it to rather than throughout
@@_JJ_yt your good bro. I think it’s a frame issue like you said in after effects. Maybe even bakkes mod idk. But I run 400fps on rocket league so my gpu can’t be the issue. I’ll just re record the footage. I’ll let you know if I run into some issues ig lol
in terms of doing it on davinci you would need to pay for the pro version due to the 3d camera tracker only being accessible through this (unless you can figure out another way of tracking the portal) You could get ae for free through some random sites online but that’s up to you. I personally prefer to pay, but it depends what usage you’re getting from it for if it’s worth it

@@ytbaguette if they don’t I don’t know which softwares would. It’s a difficult feature to have so majority that have it will be paid. I can have a look at davinci if not i’d recommend looking at getting a paid one. or download a free version of one

if the 2nd map is a rectangle than either you’re white layer isn’t a circle or you’ve set it to the wrong layer.

The saber effect isn't conforming to the circle.
How do i fix that.
My portal isnt black on the inside and the Glow intensity , GLow bias and glow spread aren't fixing it.
TIP: If you don't see the track point, go to track point size, and turn it up

some clips don’t work too well depending on the tracking points
@@_JJ_yt yeah true, I think it was because of the traking points because at 1 part there where none and 1 sec later my whole screen was filled

If you hold down the Start button there is an option in Rocket League to record the clip with a green screen background.

I don't know it depends whether or not it can do the tracking otherwise it will look very dodgy as you'd have to do it manually

make sure you’ve selected the effect. if still no then try re tracking with a shorter piece of footage
