I used to beat myself up over procrastination until I realised that I wasn't entirely procrastinating. In actual fact much of the time I thought I was procrastinating I was processing the information and organising the task without even realising that's what I was doing. Now I embrace that part of the process by creating a plan with associated time scales. That is in relation to anything with a deadline. On the other hand I've been telling myself I'm going to decorate the hallway for the last five years and my promise to myself to spend some time this weekend decluttering a cupboard will likely come to nothing. Eventually I will become annoyed enough with myself to crack on with these tasks. Until that happens I'll carry on finding something more pressing and/or fun to do instead!
Thank you for sharing Emily your perspective is so important !!❤
