that "bottom" clip doesn't actually reach even at an angle on the front flap, I spent an hour trying to make that work and it just wouldn't. The holes don't line up
crazy that this doesn't have more views. you guys genuinely make a great product on par with rally armor but nearly half the cost. im guessing with the advent of the new Subaru design in 2021 you'll see a lot more business. can't wait to buy a pair of your flaps.
How does the most inner screw, the one that goes into the L bracket, fit? There’s no hole in the plastic that it goes into so it doesn’t screw into anything. I’m so confused on that part
The L bracket slides between the 2 plastic pieces and then a screw goes through the bottom through the L bracket into the plastic U-clip he shows facing downward. Then the metal U-clip on the L bracket is what holds the inside screw on the flap.
@@jonathanvillalobos6932 hey man I just installed mine. you should have an extra short screw and a small silver washer, that goes below the u clip under your side skirt, there will be a push pin there replace it with aforementioned screw. as for the top of the u clip where there is NO HOLE, you simply take the screw and the black metal washer and screw it in to the opening of the u clip, some of the screw is going to penetrate the plastic molding of the wheel well but its no biggie. I actually found the rear flaps to be a way bigger pain.
I install mine yesterday fronts very easy the rear mud flaps was a little tricky because my car comes with a small lip on the bumper but with patience they fit well too. I just want to say for the money plus they are good quality not bad at all thanks.
Not related to this video but since there isn’t a video for the Tacoma mud flaps I’ll ask here Can the 16+ Tacoma mud flaps fit with a larger than oem tire?
very broad installation video, it would of been a lot nicer if you showed you putting the flap on and not it just randomly being there and showing where to screw in screws…..
It’s just because there were probably factory splash guards already on there covering everything. They are plastic molded pieces that are painted the the body color. They serve the same purpose as mud flaps and it is just a preference but it is an either or decision to have mud flaps or molded splash guards.
Your instructions suck. I too, am confused about the L braket, do we pull the clip on the bottom, what the hell screws into what? You need to spend more time on the video , I will send these back to amazon
He shows you right there... The screw goes up through the bracket and screws into the plastic u clips. They have a head that the screw locks into thats why he specifies which direction the head goes on the clips.
Why are we whispering? Is this a secret mudflap instalation?

And what does the u clip on the inside that stands alone from the outer three serve a purpose to?

What's the point of the l bracket if your not screwing anything into the bottom to secure it? Or are you putting the oem tab back in?

Thought it was mostly common sense.
