I've had my Jetta for a month now and to my knowledge you're the only ones doing something like this, so I look forward to being one of your first customers to pick up all this just in time for the holidays. Waiting anxiously for that purchase link - thanks for all the work you're doing on this car!
I'm eagerly waiting for the speaker upgrade. I had a 05 Honda Civic, and the guy I bought it from had installed an upgraded system with a sub. After buying the Jetta (my first brand new car) I really miss the sound quality, but didn't know where to start. Definitely gonna try this Amp kit out, and speakers once you release the video.
Unfortunately Pat does not work here anymore and has sold his car since he lives in NYC. We are looking for a car to do the speaker install but are having a hard time fining someone willing to leave us their car for the weekend.
Having just popped my door panels (19 Jetta S), it's mostly the stock speakers to blame. They are so terrible, there aren't even any tweeters. You do need spacers to mount regular speakers though. They will hit the window regulator when you roll down the window if not. But yes, HUGE difference just with even cheap speakers. I bought a set of Dual 6.5s.
I just bought a 2019 Jetta RLine. I cannot believe how bad the system sounds. I was listening to License To Ill at full volume and coukdnt hear the vocals at all. I ordered this from you guys and just got shipping notification. I can not wait to get it installed.. looking forward to your speaker suggestions.
It's something I don't personally understand. I'm a huge audio nerd. Nothing in my home is without delicious audio to it. It's NOT expensive for a car. Like, you can grab Focal woofers for like 50-100 bucks a pop. 100-ish or so for an amp. Like, you're looking at like, less than a grand in just putting some decent fucking audio in a car's system. I don't get what car manufacturers are saving by hurting their own brand when it comes to the stereo. If you want primo saved for your higher trim, just fucking use better speakers/amps. Chances are people aren't going to buy the more expensive trim anyways just for the audio, so charge a little more for base.
Paul Boda Try going to settings and switching it to “maximum”. You will notice a huge increase in both volume and audio quality. Once you do that, it turns into a very solid sound system
We are working on that at the moment. We usually do not upgrade speakers unless we do a whole system with a sub so we have found that many of our go-to speakers do not have enough low end bass for a car that does not have a sub. As soon as we figure it out we are going to post a video.
I have a 19 jetta if you guys need it to do any videos let me know im in philly and i really want to try out the radio upgrade you guys are doing in this video
This has been done for at least a year. We still need a car to do the radio replacement but I would need the car for a few days to film. enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_PNPAMP_VW16.html
I cant really do a video on that. We do have a custom subwoofer and a Breakout harness that may help with your Tiguan install. ua-cam.com/video/5uIecOfY-jU/v-deo.html enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_AAI4_VW16.html
Hey guys, my son purchased this a while back for his Jetta. Everything worked good at first but after a month or so, the amp pop showed up even with the amp pop adaptor. Also yesterday his battery was dead. Not sure if it was related but did I install something wrong. Any suggestions?
You should have called us thats what we're here for. I've never had that POP complaint before. Call me up and we'll figure out that needs to be swapped out. As far as the battery dying its probably unrelated becasue the turn off pop happens when the amp turns off. Also please let me know if you do not have a 2019 Jetta. We designed this for a 2019 Jetta only. The Tiguan for example needs the harness slightly modified.
A little of both but mainly helps with the punch of the sound. You feel the bass. The system without tweeters also lacks highs so we are looking for the best combination for speakers for this car,
I leased a 2019 Jetta R-Line the other day, and am EXTREMELY disappointed in the sound. The radio sounds terrible, blue tooth sounds terrible, and apple car play sounds terrible. It sounds like I went to Target and bought a crappy portable speaker, or as if the speakers were underwater. I am very picky about sound and would not have chosen this car if I had known that...... How easy is it to upgrade my sound system?
I felt the same way when I listened to Pat's car. The amplifire upgrade is very easy. We are working on a speaker upgrade but do not have an ETA on it yet.
Worst stereo I've ever heard. It was distractingly bad. Dumbest shit ever. Liked everything about the car until I turned on the radio. VW lost my business.
I have only had one issue where a guy said he had no audio but it worked perfect on the bench. And one of our early units was pinned wrong. We not have a testing system to prevent those issues.
VW's usually remember their own radios. Safe mode usually only happens when you try to connect the radio into a different car. This one did not go into safe mode.

Both will improve the audio. The amp gives it more power the tweeters give it more clarity.

How'd it turn out bro? Does it bump?
How'd it work out? Thinking about getting it for mine!
Any update on it? Did it improve dramatically?

I need this ASAP!!!
It's already shipping.
Can I combine this with the line out harness you guys offer?? I'd like to have my 2 12s in the trunk while also amping the door speakers
If you purchase the amp kit you just need to attach a line output converter to the harness.
Please do a door panels next! I want to instal some sound deadening!
Now that the amplifier upgrade is done the speakers are next.
Anyone figure out how to remove the door panels yet or know of a video or guide? Thanks
@@zacharypowell2100 wanting to upgrade speakers. guess no reply on taking panels apart.
Could you please recommend a speaker upgrade for this car? I plan on purchasing the amplifier but would like to do everything at once.

I went this let me know when you have it available I'll buy one.
This has been available for a few months now. enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_PNPAMP_VW16.html
Any idea about how this would handle the auto start/stop system on automatic transmission models?
Since the radio does not turn off I don't think it would matter.
Can the VW original stereo system from higher trims with 8" screen be installed on R-Line or on S?
I honestly do not know.
@@Enfig specialize in vw? Lol
Will this boost the bass when using car play too or just the radio?
It amplifies the speakers so it will boost everything.

So will this make my speakers louder? or just make the sound better?

@@Enfig basically not big difference.
With all the new bass, do the doors or anything else vibrate/rattle?
Nothing that sticks out. We did have to take things our of the doors. But vibrations differ between cars and weather.
has anyone done this upgrade on the R-line?
As long as the car does not have beats it should not matter.
have you compared the sound upgrade to the beats system in the SEL yet?
Unfortunately we have not seen a beats audio system yet.
Does this work on the upgraded beats sound system?
No the beats audio has its own amp so this upgrade does not work.

is there any way to play video on the stock radio?
I have not seen any adapters yet. But since it has a backup camera input I'm sure someone will hack that sooner or later.
If I drive to jersey will you install it ?
Yes but make sure you make an appointment. We usually do not have time for walk in's.
Just bought a 2019 Jetta -R and radio sucks! Has anyone had any issues with this installation?

Newer VW and electrical aftermarket upgrades don't get along.... just tint, suspension and wheels. IMO.
We specialize in VW's and Audi's. This is a harmless upgrade. Trust me I have fixed many horror stories so I understand your comment.
will this void the warranty on the car
Only the speakers since you are putting more power into them than they are designed for. But I have not heard of a single issue with speakers.
Does the radio go into safe mode when you unplug it?
VW's usually remember their own radios. Safe mode usually only happens when you try to connect the radio into a different car. This one did not go into safe mode.

$250??? What s joke!
If you read the reviews everyone that has purchased out kit is very happy with it.
