@@Losco6 I doubt it. Girls were inexperienced and it was obvious. He was alredy on 'dora' with Maantra in 2019. and also has won award in germany for his work there. He'll be just fine.

WHY this song should win ESC. Beside being so highly catchy and relatable. He himself wrote his lyrics, made music, arangement and came up with this staging in 1 MONTH (doing all other things like interviews, official video etc) as he came to competition as a reserve. His girlfriend is in charge of his visuals and his brother is a drummer, and everything is made mostly with a help of his family and close friends. This guy delivered, not only a song, but values too. He's not bringing nudity, cursing and there's no any other provocation inside his lyrics or visuals. That's what ESC is all about. It's the essence of this festival. It's a SONG competition made by an author himself. Marko himself is not aware of what he delivered here becouse he's such a humble and kind soul, which is such a rarity in the world these days. He's an artist indeed and I'm so very happy he finally decided to take that step and pursue his solo career after so many years being a band member and writing songs for others. Wish him all the best in life ❤

With that industrial rock-electro sound, i would add germany, estonia, iceland and even italy in the jury 'points' group. Maybe not 12, but points for sure.
Manga finished second, käärija also, måneskin won, hatari did very well (10th), let3 finished 13th after croatia being in final only two times in last 23 years.
Lord of the lost had a bad luck that there were 3 other rock songs that people (käärija was first with public, let3 sixth) and juries (käärija was second, voyager was ninth) liked more.
There are also, like last year, some sure public votes from slovenia, serbia, switzerland, sweden, austria and world, so i think if they are selected, they might be in top 10 overall. Higher is 1 in a million chances. It's not 0, but a lot of planets (juries) must allign for that to happend.

Nepotism. The entire musical scene in Croatia is rife with it and Dora is not an exception.
Sometimes, you get through based on name recognition or to fill our spots, but most of the time it is good old-fashioned nepotism.
The Croatian jury is very corrupt and nepotism has been their vibe for years.

Thank you for reviewing this masterpiece, we had years and years of unsuccessful Doras failing to qualify any serious contenders for the biggest stage in the world, and to think this was IN RESERVES next to a dozen of boring empty songs that were already qualified for Dora... THIS IS IT. THIS IS ZAGREB 2025. Make it happen boys - make Baby Lasagna win Dora and Croatia will win Eurovision! And think what message it sends if the RESERVE ENTRY wins a NF and Eurovision - it means THE LITTLE MAN WINS! I've listened to Baby Lasagna's other two songs and he is TALENTED.
Sadly juries won't go for that kind of music and with a current system it means no win. If it's hyped maybe it won't do terrible with juries but i cannot see how it gets a lot of points. Cha Cha Cha only got 150 from them. Televote wise there's a lot potential though.
I can see it doing better than Cha Cha Cha since this guy can probably sing better live and he's better artistically.

Well this is the proof that we need nf auditions too with public voting because this masterpiece, only good and promising entry of the dora24 almost didnt make it to the nf. They haven't even published the dates of Dora, we found out about the release date of the songs on UA-cam from Vinko's Instagram story, about the release date of the songs in general from our media. HRT published that they will premiere the songs on HR2 only two hours before the radio show... So I guess silence is what they are doing this year (tišineeeee 😂).

The song is actually a Croatian reality, 250,000 young people left the country in the last 5 years.
The song is not about that, don't mislead people and don't talk nonsense about emigration when Croatia has a migration surplus for the last two years. More people are moving to Croatia than they are moving out.
