I’m so glad I’m not the only one... 😂 When she didn’t do that, I got so sad 😩 she missed the perfect opportunity to do it! I think that would be a super cute outfit.
In my experience, their quality difference is knits vs.wovens, actually, not tops vs. bottoms. Thats why the skirt was good quality, because it was made by their knitwear team / knitwear factories. I love their knitwear - amazing quality for the prices, but I bought a matching pant and top woven set from them, and the material was very thin, cheap polyester. Cute video. :)
I love that you said “I wish I had tops like this in high school”. Meanwhile....that’s literally what people wore in the 90’s in high school ! So fun how everything comes back around
@@LauraSasss oh god the cords and flares!! Yup! Everything comes back even when you think it couldnt possibly. Now fair warning: we all need to be scared of the early 2000’s coming back. Boy, my comment is a year too late, but maybe it will help someone. First, you really don’t know the quality until the item has been washed or dry cleaned. Second, a good hint that the quality isn’t so good is when stripes, plaids or checks aren’t matching at seams and pleats. I’ve been sewing since I could reach the machine foot pedal and it’s one of the first things I learned. Unfortunately, Cider fails the matching test.
No low cost fast fashion brand will have that type of quality (matching). For low cost clothes, wash always in cold and air dry. They are what they are.
You gotta shell out big bucks for matching patterns at the seams. From Walmart to Target to low-end department stores, you will not find it. So, like, please don’t act like that’s an indicator of whether a piece is going to last someone a couple of seasons/years. It’s not an indicator of quality but of affordability for the working class.

@Mandi W there’s still online thrift stores. I don’t even shop in physical thrift stores most of the time, I usually buy through depop. People say depop clothes are expensive but many sellers are very reasonable, give discounts for bundles and negotiating is an option most of the time. Remember clothes are a want not a necessity unless it’s something like a winter coat to protect you against the cold or clothes to last you at least a few days to a week. Besides that it’s all just for styling reasons or to give you more options. Save up your money for an opportunity where you can thrift if online isn’t an option either. If you truly care, you can commit to the cause. I personally can not go back to fast fashion after finding out the truth of how they’re made, it’s disgusting
hey mia! would love to see some more sustainable companies featured on your channel. cider says they’re “sustainable” but they outsource production to china and a lot of their pieces can be found on aliexpress and other really bad fast fashion sites. they also steal designs from small brands! it’s such a hard thing to navigate but i know you care about sustainability and it would be great to see reviews of genuinely sustainable brands so we can see what products are worth investing money into! 💗💗💗
They don’t outsource to China. They’re a Chinese company, iirc specifically based in Hong Kong. Some of their pieces are dupes of luxury brands, many of which are Asian but that’s normal in the industry. Unless you are at Macy’s or the high end brand itself, you will find dupes or pieces inspired by what’s on the runway or trending amongst elites. That’s how fashion has worked since even before ready-to-wear became mainstream. AliExpress is making those same knock-offs of high-end Asian brand products or trendy TaoBao clothes and SheIn is now knocking off original Cider designs. From what I have seen and researched, out of all the international China-based shopping sites that I’ve frequented since the 00s up to now, Cider has the most unique designs and is most trustworthy (aside from specific brands on Yesstyle). I do not put it past them to have stolen designs from small brands, so I can’t and won’t defend that. But for people who make less than $20KUSD a year, Cider is a great balance of affordability and ethics if you want to buy new online and not sacrifice self expression and style or quality. Plus it’s more sustainable to buy a Cider dress that lasts 2+ years than a Shein or AliExpress dress that only lasts a single season. Of course, buying secondhand through apps/sites like Vinted, Poshmark, Mercari, Cutsy, etc. is ideal.
🐛 You asked what types of things we would want to hear about in these reviews! - I would love if you could talk about any sustainability practices the company you are reviewing uses, or if they use any at all. I've gotten to a place where I'm just not comfortable purchasing fast fashion brands anymore. Your transitions are super cute in this video! I definitely caught on to the transitions matching the clothing pieces! Great brand review and I love your attention to detail 😊
Hi Mia! Watched all your haul videos for years now and loved hearing your feedback on all sorts of brands! You are great at describing the textures of fabrics (like when you said it had a cool slippery feeling) but could you also say what fabric it is made of, either from the tag or the website? I'm in the process of rebuilding my wardrobe and found I tend to favor certain fabric types over others for function and comfort. Also certain materials are more sustainable so I'm trying to keep that in mind too. Just a suggestion, thanks!! Love your videos
When looking for sustainable clothes it’s important to shop for clothes that are not a trend and just clothes that fit your style. And also doing a lot of research about the companies to. It’s sad how many places use labor and false advertise. I get sad seeing that she spent so much on a haul to get cheap clothes that she will get rid of and rarely use other than some that are more expensive and better for the environment and people and she would wear for a long time.
I get so many of these adverts and the outfits always look so cute. I'm so glad Mia does these reviews for us so I can decide if it's going to be worth my money. Shopping on the internet is such a minefield!
This review is coming off awfully nice. I mean this in the nicest way but I feel like they're were some areas where you could give some critique and you choose to only focus on the positive like the cherry dress seems like really low quality and obviously see-through didn't seem worth that price but yet you only said nice things about it
Everything was so 70's vintage in style!! The colors (orange, moss green, yellow, brown), patterns (small flowers, argile, plaid pants), collars (peter pan), the smile shirt with flowers & smile faces and the blue flower vest; everything looked like it came right out of a 70's mall!!!
Hi Mia. I've been watching your videos for years and really love the how they have evolved. As others have said it would be really nice to hear your thoughts on the sustainability of these companies. One key thing that I would love is to know what the fabrics are. You are always so good and describing the feel and texture but it would be so helpful to know if the fabric is synthetic (polyester etc) or something like cotton and viscose. I try to avoid synthetic fabrics unless they are recycled so this information would be so helpful in your videos and would help raise awareness so that people can make their own informed decisions. Keep being wonderful - your videos bring me so much joy xxx
Cute review :) I think it would actually be really helpful though if you talked about how well made they are instead of only how cute. I don't think the worth of an item is just in how cute it is, but that just me personally.
I think Mia should do a photoshoot where she tries to recreate the photos of the models in the clothes that she buys. I could see that going really well... or really poorly. Either way, it would be fun to watch!

The shorts are “chambray”-light weight and thin jean-look-a-like material
I get so many of these adverts and the outfits always look so cute. I'm so glad Mia does these reviews for us so I can decide if it's going to be worth my money. Shopping on the internet is such a minefield!
The first ad on this video is the trailer of the FRIENDS reunion and idk why but that made me doubly happy.
OMG I keep getting ads for this! I'm so happy you did this bc their clothes are SOOOO cute!!!
STOP BEING SO CUTE IN LITERALLY EVERY OTHER SWEATER VEST MIA!! I can't handle it gurl!
Mia should design her own clothing line. I had a shirt like the smile one in high school back in the 90’s.
love that "let's try on" screen matched the item every timeee!
This review is coming off awfully nice. I mean this in the nicest way but I feel like they're were some areas where you could give some critique and you choose to only focus on the positive like the cherry dress seems like really low quality and obviously see-through didn't seem worth that price but yet you only said nice things about it
Been wondering about this brand for ages! Thank you. Also I wonder if Mia will ever learn to look at the sizing and buy the right size ever? 😂
Everything was so 70's vintage in style!! The colors (orange, moss green, yellow, brown), patterns (small flowers, argile, plaid pants), collars (peter pan), the smile shirt with flowers & smile faces and the blue flower vest; everything looked like it came right out of a 70's mall!!!
these new transition screens are EVERYTHING!!! editing 10/10
Okay, that peach tank with the sunflowers would look SO CUTE over a white, untucked button up shirt (or shirt dress!).
As soon as this popped up on my notifications, I clicked LOL 💜💜💜
Omg, been seeing this brand everywhere and was waiting for you to try it, it is SO your style!!
Not Mia wearing the tops before she unpacks them for us 😂😂
I loveeeee how much effort you.put into the slides! So cute when they all matched 😫
“i might need to switch from a small to an extra small” that’s a sentence i wish i could say 😭
You are beautiful ♥ Give yourself some credit! We are all different sizes, and that's okay 😁
@@sophiewonders ily.
you’re beautiful
As a 90’s baby, I 100% appreciate your “that 70’s show” style 🤟🏽🥰 you are so unique!
Yeah she's awesome and unique 😁
I think Mia should do a photoshoot where she tries to recreate the photos of the models in the clothes that she buys. I could see that going really well... or really poorly. Either way, it would be fun to watch!
I love the graphics you used and how they matched each piece you were trying on. Great touch.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Mia making her try-on transitions match the clothing? 👏🏻 This is just one more thing I love about you, Mia!
I had such a bad day at work today but seeing this video made me smile so much, i'm so happy for you!
imagine getting a heart from Mia!
You just made my day 🥺 luv u❤️
The second I saw an ad for this I thought of you!! Can’t believe you’re reviewing it!!!
The flowers on the first shirt reminded me of the "egg" on the shirt your dad picked out a few videos ago!
I’m so excited for this video. I’ve been seeing cider advertised on my Instagram and it looks so cute but the website didn’t seem legit. You came in clutch with this one!!?
It's a drop shipping website. But if you're happy to pay more rather than search for the items on Ali express yourself it's worth it.
Ok no doubt she looks pretty and cute in every outfit ❤️
I'm in love with the crack energy Mia has been bringing to her channel lately 🤪
I Would really appreciate if the videos talked about how to style each outfit with right accessories/bags/jackets 🤗
There is always, always, always something to be thankful for!
I'm OBSESSED with the amount of effort she puts into the transition clips between each piece. I was shocked when I realized. WOW
😍 .
Lightweight denim is made for summer, especially for summer in the States as it gets hotter here. I live in TX so the sun vacations next door to us. It lives in Arizona tho 😏
I moved from Arizona to Texas and I will say, that is true.
*cries in Florida*
omg!!!! the dress ms mia!!! that dress looks amazing on you!😍♥️
Maybe you could read what the fabric is made of, from the care label? Great video, you look like you could guest star on that 70s show!
omg that white dress is YOU that looked so good on you.... you reminded me of a main character in this world. like girl..... that dress is everything on you
