I like the fact that throughout the time Sukuna has had Megumi’s body, he’s shown us, the reader, how 10 shadows can be mid maxed and utilized to its highest potential. Kind of a mirror of what Megumi could (or could have) become had he the smarts(not calling him dumb but narrow minded) and experience, which Sukuna has in spades.

Outplaying a genius like Gojo is already fucking insane. Sukuna just understands the power system and it’s fundamentals on another level compared to everyone else. He truly deserves the title he got.

Yea, it was a mutual back and forward dance. Gojo also had to hold off spamming long range Hollow Purples because he knew Sukuna could summon Mahoraga at any second and start the adaptation process. This is why Gojo only used purple to start and end the fight.
So yes i agree Sukuna shouldn't be downplayed for his strats and peak usage of his tool, but let's not go too far now, Mahoraga's mere existence in Sukuna's belt added a layer of complications that Gojo had to keep in mind through out the whole fight, so yea: mahoraga could not just be thrown off-rip, but it was a threat that affected the mind games even without being used.
They both preformed an awesome fight where they naturally bounced off eachother with mind games.
Sukuna is the smarter fighter than Gojo. He had different methods of handling Satoru.

I disagree with him not needing 10 shadows to beat gojo. He even admitted to needing to learn from raga to gain an attack to bypass infinity. If he didn't need it then why go through the effort? Even his cook praised gojo for being to make sukuna try.
Why? Because he wanted to learn the world slash.
