    i'm gonna say it, because i dont know if anyone else will. i know that this 1.5 hour video took you days if not weeks to put together. for it to have only 9k views is a travesty. i watch a lot of content from many different photographers. your bts is by far the best. like, there's a sizeable gap between what i just watched of yours and what i would rank as the next best behind you. the way you handled working with everyone at the beginning with the push back with them being so concerned about the dress. the way you interacted with everyone helicoptering around you. the greatest thing some one should take away from this is when you meet with the guys/groom, this is exactly how it goes 90% of the time. you are generally constantly reminding them of the timeline, where to be, when to be there. you were great. i am glad you included that chaos because it's accurate. i am impressed. not only would this be educational for someone starting up on how to go through a wedding day, it would help them deal with tough persons you might never think about having to encounter. i am glad i stumbled upon you. thank you for this.

      Seriously made my day! Thank you! Lots of hard work goes in and UA-cam can be both a great place and also incredibly discouraging. Just happy my content is helping. Whether it’s 1,000 or 100,000 I just want the content to be helpful to at least one person.

    As someone who has been into photography for almost 20 years, but just now wanting to get into wedding photography: Amazing coverage! Thank you for putting this out there for everyone to see and learn from. Great commentary. Also, love how your wife guided you by your harness as you were walking backward at the end of the ceremony. Such a sweet thing to see as it looked so natural. Great team!

    Man I've see so many of these BTS wedding videos at this point but this hands down the best one yet!! I love how you walk through your composition techniques, how you make the couple fee comfortable and how natural everything feels. Brother, I am just trying to get into the wedding scene and have been scared as hell. I have Panasonic s5, sigma 24-70mm f2.8, sigma 85mm f1.4. I used to have A7iii and unfortunately had to gave it away.
    Your work is ridiculous, amazing, and inspiring, and this video is the wedding photographer's documentary at its finest. You have literally forced me to go out and try. Incredible work. Subscribed. Will be keeping close eyes on your content.
    Not sure if you would be willing to show your editing workflow or presets, I will be stoked to learn a lot from you.
    God bless you! :)

      This was an excellent video. I would love to have a version of it where you narrate your decisions as you go, kind of like a director's commentary on a film. I am interested in your decision not to use flash outdoors, you manage to get great images without it. Thank you for sharing this.

    • @JosiahBlizzard
      @JosiahBlizzard  Рік тому +1

      Shot with the couple for 45 minutes. Bridal party, bridesmaids, and groomsmen for a total of 35 minutes or so. So out of the 10 hours of coverage they had with us, we ended up directing for maybe 90 minutes with family photos included. Everything else was candid or real moments that occurred.

    My opinion, you are making hanging the dress to big of a deal and involving to many people. It’s up to you to figure it out. Bridesmaid have better things to do. Take charge and figure it out. I want to instill confidence in my bridal party and vendors that I have it all covered

    • @JosiahBlizzard
      @JosiahBlizzard  Рік тому +17

      The bride and mother of the bride were very concerned about the dress getting dirty. The MOB more so inserted herself into the process which I was fine with. Part of me including them was to make sure they felt confident nothing was going to happen to the dress.
      Additionally, bridesmaids were walking by while I was hanging and offered to help. I have no problem including people especially when hair and makeup is done and the offer is there. The more interaction I have with as many people as possible, the better as it allows me to become more familiar to them and build a little rapport. Team work like this builds relationships and everyone feels an overall success from it.
      Not a problem in my opinion, but I get what you’re saying. Normally I can just take the dress and hang it somewhere and the party doesn’t have much involvement. This was a little bit of a different scenario.
