Jordan's home and away stats were scewed that year more than any other DPOY it stated. 82% vs 59% was the second worst. They absolutely should have the stats corrected for all games if it turns out there are significant differences between the current stats and the truth.

In both those other seasons he lead the league in steals his steals were way higher at home. In 1990 3.1 home vs 2.5 away and in 1993 it was 3.3 at home vs 2.4 away. Not sure how much was BS and how much was real, but it would be nice to have the data corrected. Not just for Jordan, but for all players.

6 out of 82 games watched and didn’t watch h any of the other seasons surrounding it where he averaged 2.7 to 3 steals per game. Amazing. If you took away those “extra” steals, he still averages 3 per game.
The funny thing is if you were to lower all of jordans home steals to the same average as his away steals, he would STILL be way ahead of Eaton for dpoy. Not to mention, according to the stats and defensive analytics, in the previous year in 87, the gap was even bigger between him and cooper. So actually you can make a case that not only would he still be 88 dpoy but should of been 87 dpoy as well.
