My impression is that JJ Redick is showing now that he truly believes that he's the smartest one in the room, and, will be able to politic this away, like a politician, by blanket denials and such. Big difference is that politicians can fool a whole bunch of people, and, deceive enough of them to still garner more votes than his opponent. With an NBA coaching position, it doesn't matter how many yt folks will accept his alibi/story. If this cloud is left hanging over JJ's head, his ability to coach non-white players is going to necessarily be compromised. Of course, having LBJ in his corner will buy him a lot of cover, but, even LeBron won't be able to smooth things over, if definitive proof emerges that these allegations have some validity to them.
LeBron is really bad in vetting his coaches and business partners it seems. But people just want to talk how bad MJ was as an executive.
