Saint/sinner at the same time. I'm a Saint because of Christ Jesus, sinner by my own merits. One day I'll be a total Saint at the end of time by God's grace alone. God's peace
I have a Catholic friend who is petrified of death, because she thinks she might not make it, or will spend time in purgatory. I'm gonna send this her way
Happy all Saints Day. We rejoice they are now the church triumphant. Everyone's homework for the next time you are in church count how many times the pastor says the word peace.
Today, our pastor spoke in an unknown language and then gave an interpretation that was words of encouragement and telling us that we should focus on Jesus and not a men. I’m sure the coming election inspired the message, but is that right? For the preacher to speak in tongues and then interpret it himself? Most of the time he just speaks in unknown language with no interpretation, but today he also interpreted. Does this make it “right” cause he interpreted? Thank you for your kind understanding and words. Please. 🙏
According to 1 Corinthians 14, no the pastor should not be speaking in tongues without interpretation. I would look for a church that relies on the Bible. God speaks through the Bible first and foremost. It is against the Bible to speak in tongues without interpretation.
The gifts have ceased. Your pastor is disqualified if he fakes one gift and doesn't have an interpretation. Which is mandated for tongues. Maybe change churches. Go Confessional Lutheran
