It's in standard tuning. I tried out for the voice a few years ago. Didn't make it last round 2 of producer auditions. But, since this Walmart thing went viral, American idol reached out to me. :) Thanks again for the love and support y'all.

its not just practice for that type of creative thinking. improv is a skill that even if you've practiced for years, if you can't think in "colors" you can't make a memorable impact on the listener.
You have any idea how many thousands of hours of hard work he had to put in to play like this? He didn't get lucky and found skills.. he worked his ass off to get there! Anyone can learn to play like that.. but most people don't have the discipline and dedication to practice enough to reach that level! Don't be jealous, just go practice! ;)

I was freaking out over this when it came out cause I was just getting started playing guitar and this was sooo impressive to see. Fast forward 7 years and I'm a pretty decent player... But holy crap this is still so intimidating and impressive! And your voice is just as top level as your playing is.. one of the great SRV covers out there! 🤘 Amazing job
