That's awesome. I'm retiring soon as well, but a bit older at 52. Got the same plan as you, plus motorcycle racing on all the great tracks in north america. Who cares what anyone else thinks. Do what makes you happy.
I guess this is Dynamax's entry into the lower-end Super C's so they can compete with the Jayco Seneca/Prestige level coaches that all run this same 6.7 pickup truck motor with its much lower towing capacity. It's an interesting design and I like the living area but the bedroom is tiny. We'll probably still buy a new Dynamax next year but we'll stick with one of the models from their DX3 line which runs the Detroit Diesel 7.7 with way more torque and tows 20,000 lbs. The DX3 line has the big stackable washer and dryer which is a must for us; we don't do laundry mats! The DX3 also comes with AquaHot instead of propane for heating water and heating the coach. It also has an induction cooktop instead of a propane stove which is far superior. This 31SS is actually 33' long so the DX3 is only about 6' longer but it has a much larger bedroom and 4 more storage compartments outside. The 31 would be great for a weekend trip but any longer than that and I need the much larger DX3. I would like to see the cloth sofas and lighter interior colors in the DX3 lineup though!

Awesome floorplan in a 33.5 footer. Great prototype. Followed the Forrest River forum on this unit for awhile, glad to finally see it on video A few minor recommendations to Dynamax. The magazine rack and TP holder in front of the toilet takes up room when getting in/out of shower. Get rid of the rack, and move the TP holder to the wall nearest the shower. Great location for the bedroom TV. Love that it is recessed, but was the plug to the bedroom TV an afterthought? Sticks out like a sore thumb.
Just a heads up when buying a Freightliner framed anything. Check the frame welding for bad welds. It's as if an amateur welded them. Watch south Georgia Hotshot channel, where he was hauling those frame systems. You will see what I mean.
Just wish it was All Wheel Drive or at least 4x4. That is a huge bummer. But this coach is amazing. Pretty much perfect. Except in winter, when we like to travel.
This is the one. Was looking at used Force 34hd. But this is shorter and has the updated look. The washer dryer area is a bit funky. Going to hit my head getting my clothes out. Washer looks wonkey too. They need a shelf above or to clean it up and maximize space.
I always wondered why they don't just do one big sink instead of two. I wish it had a headboard instead of a window, hate leaning on a window when I am reading. Could this be an option? Love that it has optional Wash/Dryer combo. Could the Wash/Dryer combo fit in the bathroom? It seemed a bit odd in the closet. Also, there really is not much storage for clothes in the bedroom anyway. Also, no mention of WIFI or electrical plug in Bedroom. Where would I put a CPAP machine? Could make it an option for Queen-sized bed and then have the tables on each side of bed to put things on.
I marathon watched RV programs and wondered who would want one of these monstrous contraptions . They were all butt ugly and with floorpans like gerbil cages. This Dynamax looks livable and cool. The shower looks huge.The exterior colors very nice unlike the ridiculous amusement park look of competitors. I'll bet there are a lot of idiots who won't buy it because it doesn't have this or that, I''m glad I'm not married to one of those "It's not a full size refrigerator". Damn you need to lose some weight honey anyway.
Have been in love with the isata 5 xplorer forever, read all about this with hopes it would happen and then started to love the magnitude f600 chassis… if it can be had in the low 200s-220 range i might have to find a way!

Love my Explorer but, after my first few outings I realize I need something with more ground clearance. Even been talking to a few places about custom springs and lift. As is the Isata 5s are just too low and drag alot, not only just boondocking in the woods but also in and out of gas stations. The Europa may be in my future since they came out with new color options.
Beautiful rig....The Dynamax website list the Propane size is 20.3-Gallon LP Tank (WC). The curbside cargo door has a propane sticker noting location. But when the cargo door is open, there is no tank. Where is the LP tank or fill on this awesome coach?
The fill is in the compartment that has the sticker on it. There is a line run to that compartment from The actual tank which is located further back toward the midline of the coach.
Why doesn’t anyone show the inside in travel mode with slides in? I want to see the bed and kitchen area while traveling. Can I make it from front to restroom without pulling out the slide?
Interesting design. Nice finishes. Not much interior storage. Spacious bathroom? I don’t think so. Showed things that Dynamax doesn’t list on website (power cord reel, macerator). No leveling system? Will see one in Hershey to see what is really standard v. prototype.
Gorgeous unit but the propane stove is a thumbs down. The bathroom is nice but don’t care for the way it narrows towards the door. I would go for Q sized bed for more walking around room. Don’t care for the way the wardrobe hangs over the 2 top drawers so you have to reach underneath to access. The shower itself is pretty nice. Glad there’s storage behind the kitchen TV. Not crazy about the bedroom tv. Having that big black square staring at me would get on my nerves. I would have to cover it. Love the way the storage bay doors open out instead of lifting up or pulling down. Idk why everyone doesn’t do that. There would definitely be more solar on the roof and lithium batteries in use! Always did like a Freightliner!
By the way about Europe. Do you sell these beauties in europe as well? is there a dealer in europe that sell your motorhomes? not just this model, i mean any of your models.

Is there an option for real sliding windows instead of those stupid, zero air flow, pop out windows? I saw a slider over the bed which is good, but whomever invented those frameless windows should be shot! One thing I missed when buying my Tuscany. No air flow whatsoever. Fine if you live for RV parks with hookups.
I'd want a darker interior. I'd want to feel like I'm out in the woods. Not a hotel room in LA, or my grandparents house. Its definitely built with the elderly in mind, that never leave 5 star RV resorts.
Yes, you're right, the 28SS is shorter but it's built on the RAM chassis. This is the shortest one built on the Freightliner chassis. Thank you for watching our videos!
The 28SS is a great layout and 30.5ft long. But is way too low, I drag butt going over standard curbs. The Europa is about 3 ft longer but has good ground clearance. Both have plus and minuses.

@@clearingbaffles I'm not sure what the exact fuel economy will be on this new engine/chassis combination but it will be less than 17MPG. I would guess around 10MPG.
Looks like you will be able to get these in the $220k range. I'm waiting until I can get one at 200k flat. Honestly it's a bit overpriced. Compare it to the Force the price point should be 20k lower.

Great review. Nice that it is short but it should be less than 12' high to go along with it so it can fit in smaller garages.
They need to up their game regarding the slide out step, needs to be flush. Great storage and overall package. Air brakes are a plus.

Those combo washers don't work at all. We had one, it was terrible.

Both sides are equally spaced so you can put a washer on the left and dryer on the right if your willing to give up storage. No problem

Unfortunately we won't be. We're located in Northern California, in Grass Valley. It's about an hour north of Sacramento.

Sorry, the 4x4 isn't available on the Freightliner chassis. You can get 4x4 on the Ram and Ford chassis.
