    Spirals are wonderful! I like the larger, thicker gauge myself. Holds its shape better.

    Your tutorials are excellent, thanks so much for your ‘easy to follow’ instructions. I’ve got several Wubber tools but didn’t realize the variety of ways we can use just one tool. It’s certainly time for me to go back and learn how to use each tool that in my. connection.
    Do you have any videos that teach how to make oval jump rings with the oval pliers? I have a very difficult time getting the ovals to not get distorted ovals? I’d love to see how to hold the pliers and how to get a oval coil that keeps its shape.

    Hi Lisa
    I have a real problem in keeping the wire in the pliers. I've tried chain nose and nylon tipped pliers but the wire slips and I can't seem to make a spiral, unless I crimp the pliers so tightly that I make marks on the wire.
    I can manipulate 20g wire by hand, but the 18g is too hard to bend without any help from tools.
    Do you have any suggestions for me.
    Thank you for a lovely tutorial
    Best regards
    Terry van der Peet

      Hi Terry. You might try using Tool Magic on your pliers. Tool Magic provides heavy-duty latex-free rubber coating for pliers to enable wirework without marring sensitive or soft wire. It also helps with grip. It is easy to apply--comes with directions. Here's a link to the product: www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/h202055tl and a video on how to apply it: www.firemountaingems.com/resources/videos/690n We hope that helps.

    Nice Mam . Pls can you tell me the length of the wire you have taken to make this spiral . Will be extremely useful and helpful. Thankyou. God bless. Tkcare.

      Hello. For demonstration purposes, Lisa used a rather long piece that is 10-12 inches in length. However, when creating these spirals, you'll want to start with a length of wire that is dependent on the number of spirals you want. The more spirals, the more wire, and the less spirals, the less wire.

    I wish they would use a dark background to show the wire. It is hard to see on something white.

    I wanted her to describe to get the innermost loop perfectly round. Mine always end up as teardrop-shaped. She skipped right over that essential part!

    • @FireMountainGems
      @FireMountainGems  4 роки тому

      Using a round nose plier will help create the rounded beginning of the spiral.

      Fire Mountain Gems and Beads, *duh*! That much is obvious. But even when I make sure that the wire is flush with the top of the plier arms at the tip of the arms, I still get a teardrop shape.
