The subject matter of his work isn't the type of material I prefer to have in my home. Perhaps in an art book on the mantel for those brave to have a look. Hanging on the wall a distorted face of a man is not simply someone seated in a chair to a child on looking. But I suppose the line of questioning from a child's incessant "whys" could lead to some interesting teaching moments as it relates to a Bacon on the wall. Bacon's darkness had no filter from mind to canvas - from canvas to living room is where I express my caution.
Belo Beatz I agree but i think some of his less violent stuff ie. triptych of Lucian Freud or the Bull fighter paintings would be dope as hell. But personally I think any francis bacon painting would be amazing if you can make the room match.
This is of course touching on the interesting question What is life about? What is experience? What is important? What is beauty? What is joy? What is love? What are you attracted to ? What is abstraction? What is Real? What is dialoque? What is really beautifull dialoque?
Wow Sotheby's this episode of Expert voices is exciting Sotheby's , Chairman Oliver Barker went all out this one! it was super interesting! I think the red sky painting is amazing what a battle of a piece, I love political Art too, And the Francis Bacon Art piece is just phenomenal! and Exquisitely done he is my all time favorite Artist. well done chairman Oliver Barker!!
Unbelievable what passes for art these days.. There ought to be some kind of standard for art. I think these people who describe what the painting means to them are really high as a kite.
nazi Germany had exactly the kind of standard you would like. So I guess you are a little late to the party. But not of course the Nazi Party. ua-cam.com/video/_0Rm9uZSyvQ/v-deo.html

Some of those art seem to need à lot of bullshit talking in order to have any value. Skip the pretentious talking and you wont évén bothers to look at them.
Disgusting work, Excellent idea! I hope to better enhance that idea with help from a friend. A money cost,...yes, however the project of Critique would forever revolutionize and give greater restoration and interpretations of Art History, Artwork and Religious Visual Cultural.
your comment is instulting to real artists (those in the video) oh wait it isnt becouse real artist isnt hurt by what some amateur who is clueless about art thinks
Looks like a very disturbing unsettling mind created this collection of ? art .... They are working the hype to make his pieces more valuable. NOT! Like one said here, it insults a true artist.
Very informative video. Thank you.
can you imagine having an original Francis Bacon hanging in your living room.
Or a Van Kooning

I like most of these, some are very strong, but I just can't get to like anything about Frank Auerbach's art though, sorry Frank.

whoever provides the estimates for these artworks.... is clueless and shouldn't be working in the art appraisal business...
His art sucks. Glad he’s not competing with the rest of us.
Some are spectacular but many are totally garbage 🗑️ in my eyes

Apparently all this abstract nonsense is used to launder money , hence the usual rediculous prices.
Wow, @Sotheby's are sooooo full of shit.
