- Welcome back subscribers, and new views to the RC Plane addict. A place where I can share my passion and addiction for flying RC planes.
In this video I go through how to set up a four channel plane, and the Spektrum NX 8 to use flaperons, spoilerons, and game mode.
Flaperons and spoilerons are great options for slowing down fast four channel planes, especially when landing.
If you have any questions leave a comment and happy flying.

Thinking of modifying my Conscendo Evolution and 850mm Pitts S1S this way. Very helpful, thanks for making this video!
Not a problem. Let me know if you have any other ideas or would like to see some different content. Cheers

on the NX8 😊😊😊😊
My pleasure brother!
Well done videos RC PA ..... I learned a lot from your vids and about to take the leap and buy a NX 8. Before I do, what I would like to know is .... does the NX8 have the Hangar 9 Meridian 10cc in it's model memory? I'm about to purchase both. Cheers for any assistance.
Great question. Honestly I am not sure, as I do not use the presets in the memory. Personally, I like being able to set everything up myself so that I have things dialed in to my liking. In any case, I did not see that model in the presets.
@@RCPlaneAddict .... thanks for your response. I guess I will have to setup the model to my liking then. Cheers.
Can I assign SAFE to Aux 1 so it works properly when I split the ailerons to two channels when adding Flaperons? I only have one aileron working when in SAFE mode and checking for corrections.
I do not believe that safe will work with the ailerons split into separate channels, at least that is the talk around the club.
It looks like if you have forward programming you should be able to with channel assign, but if you go the plane as a BNF, with a preprogrammed RX no.
With your set up is the throttle normally on the left stick?
Yes, throttle and rudder on the left.
@@RCPlaneAddict I will be flying an electric glider and I will use the left stick for spoiler how do I use a switch for motor. Using an NX8
Mike, are you talking about throttle cut. Just go into your menu, find the throttle cut, and program it to the switch you would like. Easy peezy.
When I set it up, it makes the right aileron -56 and the right 56
Basically turning the plane
That’s strange. Sorry, I’m not sure why that would be happening
