Is that yellow torch a 24 kt banana or a holy grail? It beautiful. I used to use phosguard and it worked but last batch I bought did nothing to lower po4! I guess I got a bad batch! have you tried gfo?I heard that works too! Thats what I ended up buying after the phosguard didnt work and been using it for 4 years!
On a nano tank I would remove it unless you have high phosphates. Then just replace it every 30 days. It works fast and it's strong so just watch your parameters closely when using it
Great video . I’m struggling with the same issue did you follow the instructions on the back of the instructions? Also did you use a media bag or reactor. P.s love your tanks!
👀👀👀 I used to run Phosguard all the time, but haven’t in either of my current tanks. 🤔 Might need to try it again, since I have been noticing lots of brown slime in the filter cup pads (I think it’s getting picked up by bubble scrubbing) and there has been the odd patch here and there on the sand.
Beautiful aquariums. I have an established 54 corner bow aquarium and have a diabloom issue now... running phosguard for a couple of weeks and no change. I've since done water changes and still nothing. Have a pretty robust cleaning crew as well. Also have UV light and skimmer. And always use RODI water. I'm really at a loss...
How is your kid doing? I remember at one point you said you were going to have to sell all your tanks because your kid was sick and set up a go fund me. I'm assuming your kid is all better now?
Hey brother, I'm going through the same in my tank. I'm been doing sand stirring before light go out and cleaning the filter socks daily in the morning with bubble scrubbing for 1 1/2 hour during the night with heavier water flow and is a lot better. But I will need to check out the RODI to see the filter even if still pulling 0 TDS. But it was my fault that I neglected the tank for a while since I wasn't home to often, traveling a lot with the band. I also reconnect the UV_LIGHT with a new light bulb and adding waist away, every other day. During that period I lose few corals, but it's getting there, slowly but I think that it's going on the right direction. Let's see what happens in a week or so. If came back I think that I will give it the try to the Phosgard. Probably mixing it with the carbon in my reactor. Any thought? Well buddy keep up and keep us updated I want to see which one works best for you. Take care 🤟😎🤟 and be safe as well the family.
Hello Billy, it might be cheaper and prove your theory by also using phosguard in the 75. lot's of water changes will most likely cost more to do. Just a thought😊
I am fighting that battle right now. I am going to have to give that a shot. I do a water change every weekend trying to fix it. Looks good for a day and it’s right back. Thanks man
thank you for making videos for us, I notice you have MP60's anyway you can share your mobius settings with us, thank you, my mp60s blowing to much, your's look like very nice and come,
I run Phosguard also , and just had to stop for abit because It works so efficiently at removing phosphates , and I guess my nitrates were to low , so I ended up with Dinos in all 3 of my tanks , I actually had to remove the phosguard and zeomix , then feed the heck out of my tank for two weeks straight , and dose reefroids every night to get my nurtrients up off zero. lol I didn't realize the zeomix and phosguard work so efficiently together ad it totally stripped my water . now I run abit less and feed abit more trying to find a good balance , but yes I also think silicates are overlooked and probably the cause of a lot of problems people have keeping their tanks clean , theres not as many products that advertise removing silicates. I will be watching for the next video to see how things are going between your two tanks. it helps when you have multiple tanks like that so you can kinda experiment like you said and narrow down whats causing the problem easier. Happy reefing bud!
PHOSGUARD IS EXPENSIVE AND IT DOESNT LAST LONG AT ALL. IF YOU JUST LEAVE YOUR TANK ALONE AND DO SMALL WATER CHANGES ONLY AS NECESSARY IF PARAMETERS SAY SO, THE DIATOMS WILL GO AWAY ONCE THE TANK IS FULLY CYCLED.
I run my tank all natural I don't dose any phosphate removers all nitrate removers my tank is 13 months old and its basic setup my phosphate is 0.01 nitrate is 5ppm all I'm running is cheato rector
The 75 looks amazing, even with the diatoms. Even the nano looks great
Thanks Nick😃
5:57 for everyone just wanting to know what he used. This helped me, thanks!
Glad it helped👍👍
Talk about a long reveal lol
Lol
Man I miss this guys vids. They helped a lot when I was first starting out two years ago
I keep trying to convince the old crew to post again but they wont
@@BillyPipes lol
i just put it in my planted fresh water aquarium your video are great and your tanks are fantastic
Thank you, im glad it worked 👍👍
Thank you as always for sharing. I’m new and learning and having many issues but you have taught me something else and I appreciate you.
Thank you Kenneth, just take the hobby slow and make small changes when needed👍
Phosguard affects chaeto?
It could very slowly though
Thanks for the video. Were you getting a high phosphate reading before?
Ive never really had high phosphates
Are you using the phosguard on a media bag? Or reactor?
In the nano tank it in a media bag👍
Which lighting program did you use on those radions ?
I created my program. I think I have a video of the settings but I dont remember which video it's on
that is a gorgeous looking pair of tanks
Thank you
Gotta ask did the cleaning of your equipment and changing out everything in the RODI unit work with the 75?
The 75 didn't have any
Love the GSP! What kind?
Thanks. I got it from a buddy a long time ago. Im not sure where its from but ive never seen anything like it
Billy thanks for getting back to me. I’ll have to do some lookin. I enjoy your channel. Thanks for all the work you put in
Is that yellow torch a 24 kt banana or a holy grail? It beautiful. I used to use phosguard and it worked but last batch I bought did nothing to lower po4! I guess I got a bad batch! have you tried gfo?I heard that works too! Thats what I ended up buying after the phosguard didnt work and been using it for 4 years!
Idk. This video is over 4 yrs old
What lights were you using in this tank ?
Ai prime with the diffuser
beautiful tank! may i ask what kind of powerheads you have on that long tank?
Jebao 👍
Does your GSP not grow on that coarse grained sand/substrate? I'm noticing mine is and i really dont want to be pruning every other week. :/
Mine grows on the sand.
How many spoons for 45. And 20. What bags do I need. To put in powerfilters...
The directions are on the bottle
Looking great. Do you remove the PhosGuard after the diatoms clear, or is it apart of your regular sump media?
On a nano tank I would remove it unless you have high phosphates. Then just replace it every 30 days. It works fast and it's strong so just watch your parameters closely when using it
What do you know about a product called vibrant?
I did a 2 year update on vibrant not too long ago👍
Bubble tip and enemy in 3 month old tank??? How did you speed up your cycle did you put live rock in there?
I made a video on a product called aquavitro seed. I add coral and fish on day 1. It's the best stuff. I use it on all new systems
hi, may i know what did u use for recording this video? because the color of ur coral is very awesome!
Android s10 and orphek lens kit
Amazing video and amazing tank. What links are you using.
Thanks👍
Great video . I’m struggling with the same issue did you follow the instructions on the back of the instructions? Also did you use a media bag or reactor. P.s love your tanks!
Thank you. And yes I go by the directions. But I change it out every 30 days
Dope vid Billy....Stay safe out there bro!!!!
You too bud😷👍
Both tanks look awesome!
Thank you Angel
What type of sand do you use? I like the grain size.
Its the carisea seafloor 👍 not the caribsea seafloor special grade
👀👀👀 I used to run Phosguard all the time, but haven’t in either of my current tanks. 🤔 Might need to try it again, since I have been noticing lots of brown slime in the filter cup pads (I think it’s getting picked up by bubble scrubbing) and there has been the odd patch here and there on the sand.
You could experiment with it too 👍👍
Bro that tank looks amazing wow
Thank you
what's the different rowa vs phsguard?
I've never used Rowa
Your tanks are gorgeous 😍 thanks for all the info!
Glad it was helpful 👍
Man, what a beautiful tank.
Thank you

Sometimes it's just part of the system. It could take a yr for it to go away.
Are you sure its diatoms and not dinos?
Yes. It disappears every night. Dinos do not do that
update more about this tank
Very soon👍
How is your kid doing? I remember at one point you said you were going to have to sell all your tanks because your kid was sick and set up a go fund me. I'm assuming your kid is all better now?
Yes, he had open heart surgery. He had VSD. Six holes in his heart. Bout to make a video about it now since ppl wanna assume it never happened
TDS meter on your RO/DI. Saves all the guess work!
I have a triple tds meter. All points are reading zero. Plus im not sure if silicates are detectable on a tds meter
Gonna give this a shot in the lagoon tomorrow. Thank you for the tip!
No prob bud👍👍
how is your water so clear ? really wtf .. im trying everything
I use vibrant. It's awesome. I did a 2 year review video on it👍
@@BillyPipes im looking up the video
What ever happened to Billy Pipes
I'm just chillin
Man I miss that tank and my man pipes
😥
I wish i had diatoms im currently going through dinos lol
Damn, hopefully it goes away soon

I used to mix it with carbon and had no issues doing it like that. Thanks compy and you be safe out there man👍👍
Thanks a lot Billy, I’m actually dealing with this now myself in my 40 Breeder, I’m goin try using the phosguard😎👍🏾🔥💯
Glad it helped, just remember to replace it before 30 days👍
Hello Billy, it might be cheaper and prove your theory by also using phosguard in the 75.
lot's of water changes will most likely cost more to do. Just a thought😊
Its definitely a great idea. I just wanted to try the more natural approach on the 75
It’s a good product for sure. Too bad you can’t regenerate it. Tanks & coral look great 👍
True, it would be awesome to be able to reuse it
If you have water not good for the tank, water something outside. Down the sink you get charged if on city sewer.
Not in my town
I am fighting that battle right now. I am going to have to give that a shot. I do a water change every weekend trying to fix it. Looks good for a day and it’s right back. Thanks man
Yup, good luck 👍👍
Nice going to have to check it out.
I think you'll like it👍
good ol phosguard!!
Yes sir👍
Love the tanks bro
👍👍👍
thank you for making videos for us, I notice you have MP60's anyway you can share your mobius settings with us, thank you, my mp60s blowing to much, your's look like very nice and come,
I'm not using mp60s
why did you have to replace the sand? You are really setting your tanks biological cycle back by removing the sand
This video is about how to keep a clean sandbed...I didnt add new sand
Tanks look great. Diatoms and all
Thanks gabe👍
Great vid
man you really know how to drag a video
Did you learn anything?
Skunk clowns 👍😮 wow the anemones hosted those quickly... more info pls
Yeah, the skunks went directly into the nems when i put them in the tank 👍
Do you have an Instagram i can follow? I also have a 75 gallon tank haha!
I do have Instagram but its not tank related anymore sorry
Billy Pipes just bought some phosguard online! Had no idea about its existence thank you again!
Yes!! Thanks for the video!!!!!!
👍👍👍👍
Merci BILLY pour cette vidéo !!! 👍👍👍
Thanks guy😃
Reminds me of those advert videos that go on an on and the answer never comes. Surely next time you get to the point faster ...
Did this video at least help?
Bring Back The Storm Clowns 😭😭😭
They almost gone
👌👌👌
Thanks Kev

diatoms from over feeding
Diatoms come from many different sources
Bro this video was a chore to watch
My bad. But at least you did your chore for the day lol
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
Imma do the opposite and make my diatoms immortal yo.
velvet elvis
I've never had velvet in any of my tanks
I run my tank all natural I don't dose any phosphate removers all nitrate removers my tank is 13 months old and its basic setup

Thats how i plan on keeping the 75..oh natural👍
most likely you had a bad batch of RODI water
It could be👍
Jeez get to the point! Six minutes in before you say ANYTHING productive!
