I try to make alot of own emphemera. I have the kit for sewing in signatures and 2 sewing machines. One is tiny fits on my desk well. Inks and daubers, old books edith Holden also alot of craft paper, decorating scissors stamps. Try to organize everything so its handy cos I dont have the craft cabinets and shelves alot of craft rooms have. But that's me. Love the video. Thanks Anna. Have a great week.
Thanks, Anna, I learned a trick with glue stick from Cory Dahman, creating with scraps. When she uses glue stick, after applying the glue, she then runs the items through her laminator and the heat activates the glue, making the bond very strong. This has been very helpful to me. I often sew as well.
I prefer sepia distressing on my pages. It’s the perfect shade of brown. Another indispensable tool for me is a corner rounder. I seldom leave a page squared. I have a great paper cutter that uses a rotary blade. It’s not a brand I’ve ever seen before. I inherited from my sister-in-law. Art glitter glue and Fabri-Tac are my go to adhesives. I use double sided 1/4 inch tape sometimes. I have a nail polish bottle with a rounded cap. I use that cap daily to add pressure to glued pages to make sure it adheres well. Every journal has at least one place I used texture paste through a stencil. Most often it’s on the cover. After it dries I sand it very smooth with rough sandpaper. Sometimes I tint it with a bit of acrylic paint or ink. Sometimes I leave it white.
Besides all of the above, I use a brayer. After glueing items together, I run a brayer over it to help spread the glue and make it stick. Thanks for doing this video, it's a reminder of what I have available and should use!
Interesting that we each have our 'perfect' distress ink color ;-) Mine is brushed corduroy and bundled branches. PVA glue- usually Art Glitter Glue, SookWang double sided tape in 3/8" (and other widths used less often), along with FabriTac are my must-have adhesives. MY 'Daylight' desk lamp is a must for me. I love being able to see every detail, no matter the time of day or season. My stack of favorite books is much loved as well. Thanks for this interesting video!
Love the labels. My must have items for making a journal, are mainly the same of yours. This year I've incorporated dried flowers and leaves. I love and respect nature a lot, so I kind of wanted to show it in my journals. I don't use white papers for the pages, I use recycled acid free sheets, a little more expensive, but worth it. Tfs! :)
I watched nearly your whole video without realizing who you are. I just bought a handful of digitals from you maybe a month ago, and I'm loving them! You are very talented. Thanks for the video of your go-to items! So many fun ideas (:
I love your creations and your videos! Thank you for posting the names of the books you used above. I’ve already found a couple on eBay. I love it when I find a full-size book with nice, heavy sheets of paper. I’m like you, I don’t care for glossy pages much, either.
Thanks for sharing. I'm really interested in the pendant blanks because I have MANY from when I made jewelry. Would love to see what you do with then. Paper clips and safety pins that I rust up come in handy and look cool I think. The other item I can't live without is washi tape and also lace.
Thank you for your time. May you and yours be well. Love the calmness of your video and no overpowering music where I can't hear your voice! I was in attention the whole while. I am now a follower. So excited!
Great suggestions. I am happy to say that that's them all and would be hard pressed to work without them. I would add vintage ephemera and aged book pages in different fonts, because I rely on them for the journals that I create.
Great video. I really enjoy your time with us. You share so much with us and this was great to see your indulgences. Love the plastic box for extras. I have them all over and need one. May just trade my washi tape holder for these items. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Just found your channel and love your videos! I’m going to make one of those tear rulers! Brilliant! I use a lot of sari silk ribbon in my journals so that’s on my must have list.
What a great idea ironing your ruler! I have been looking for something similar , as tearing rules are quite expensive, y added to mine one of these piecew that comes whit aluminium folder to cut it, but not the nice tearing effect, so thank you so much for sharing, going to look for that video explaining how did U do
Great video, I have so many things in my junk journaling space. However I have not been able to find the slop punch, and I am wondering where you get all those adorable tickets and word sheets.. I usually bought that type of thing at Michaels but they have reduced their Tim Holtz section and their more vintage products. And the book of music sheets are so beautiful. Hope to see more of your videos..
I am in love with your videos! I had purchased a bunch of your kits before i realized it was you! Im newer to the junk journal world and im curious about your printer! I print a lot (i make custom drink tumblers) but i print on the BEST quality setting for my waterslides so they really pop as much as possible and i run thru ink like a mad woman. Do you print on best or just on regular to have a more "distressed" older feel? I absolutely love your work!
I love the info! I just spent weeks collecting and then had trouble getting started! Just do it I guess. It’s new to me, I have experience in other areas, but this is new and fun. Off topic , what lighting do you use? I have a channel that I am always trying to improve and I bought a ring light and it’s so cheap! I use my iphone!
Hello I found you while I was looking for paper on Etsy. Are the sheets of papers you showed at the end of your video available on your Etsy account. Loved the video of all the items you use, thank you xx
Hi there! All of the digitals I showed are available in my Etsy shop right here: www.etsy.com/shop/PinkMonarchPrints?ref=seller-platform-mcnav Is there a specific one I can link up for you?
As someone new to the wonderful world of junk journaling, where all do you (and anyone reading) purchase supplies? I’ve looked on eBay, etsy and at Hobby Lobby. I suppose I am a bit overwhelmed and not sure what prices I should pay. TIA
Lovely stuff 😍 please could you tell me the title and author of the book with big big flowers? I would like to look for in internet. Thank you so much for your help. Have a nice day 😘
Hi! New subbie here :) I like watching videos like this :) but I still haven’t made one myself 😅 do you know what the little silver colored oval sort of punch is called? I want to search if I can find it online, I’m in Norway so I don’t have all the shops you do ;) tfs!
I think it's an ID Card punch or a badge punch. Here is mine, but it may not be available in Norway. I hope you can find one! www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006M648E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I really LOVE your channel! Can you pleasee make a video about how to think of original ideas without reference? I noticed that for me working without planning and reference leads to amazing results but sometimes i spend too much time coming up with the ideas
It just means a group of pages that get sewn in to a journal together. I usually have 3 "signatures" in a journal and each one is about 10-12 items folded in half. Does that help?

I have that Flowers book from when I was 2 years old. My Mom bought it at the Fort Worth Zoo. It is a cherished part of my childhood.
That is seriously so amazing!
What’s it called?
I love to rubber stamp on my pages. I have a boatload of them. My favs are Steampunk, vintage, and flourishes.
Besides all of the above, I use a brayer. After glueing items together, I run a brayer over it to help spread the glue and make it stick. Thanks for doing this video, it's a reminder of what I have available and should use!

I've been looking for a tear ruler. Never thought of making one. Cool idea!!
I use an old dull saw blade for most of my tearing. I works really well.
You melted your plastic ruler to make a a fabulous tearing edge?! That is truly brilliant.
Like the ruler new to me
Thanks for sharing! Many of my must-haves you mentioned. I would add my corner rounder, Crop-O-Dial and eyelets and my supplies for coffee dying.
Ooooh! Those are good must haves! I use that corner rounder all.the.time!
I have two of those compartment boxes, which are good for all the little things

Yes. I agree. They should sell it by the gallon.
That’s funny, I’ll have to look it up.
Ok I’ve seen him on Amazon. The “honey bear” shaped one. Tfs.

Great suggestions. I am happy to say that that's them all and would be hard pressed to work without them. I would add vintage ephemera and aged book pages in different fonts, because I rely on them for the journals that I create.

I will try! That can be a challenge for me, too!! I definitely thrive on inspiration from all of the amazing artists out there.
Do you purchase your lace on Aliexpress. I am looking for a place to get a good price. I am new to crafting in general and trying to build up a stash.
Most of it is from my mom’s old sewing collection but I have bought from there, as well as Etsy and eBay. Lots of fun options!
Can you list the names of the books. You showed.
What are the names of the brown and green books?
Did I miss the link to the sewing kit?
😘🍄
What is a signature page mean?
It just means a group of pages that get sewn in to a journal together. I usually have 3 "signatures" in a journal and each one is about 10-12 items folded in half. Does that help?
