Illit does give me the vibes of new jeans but they have that charm in them which makes them different

Illit vibes and Newjeans vibes are completely different. Newjeans feels more international/Western, their vibes is more popular girls at school, girls next door. Illit is more dream girl, sleepover girls, space girls and has the most Asian vibes.

I feel bad for illit, the major complaint about newjeans was that their management was sexualizing minors. Illit debuted with an age appropriate concept, clothing style, and lyrics. Nothing problematic and they still cant win here.
maybe to some it was a petty thing but ROSÉ deserves to be credited to all her work. shes been doing demos for other artist for 7yrs. no collab, no ost, no acting/variety gig and whatsoever. maybe she sing HARD TO LOVE but it was not credited to her at all even as the singer of the song and it was never been promoted during Bornpink album too it treated like a typical side b but since Rosé sang HTL we still supported it even though it will never be part of her discography even though our streams will not be added to Rosé's music platform. so I cant blame if knetz are mad cause what they feel are valid especially now that theres no certainty that the Signal Song will be available to digital streaming platform or it will have Rosé's own version. but despite all this uncertainty we will still support her as a singer, musician and an artist.
Honestly the whole illit is so suprising to me, like the backlash after the members where announced and them attending fashion week and now suddenly everybody loves the music, they have crazy numbers and critic everything about them. Like how about next time we wait for the music before we have opinions😂
Did you watch the produced show? Because if you watched the show, then I think you'll understand the hate. But I think they'll be fine. The further they get from their group announcement and the more time passes, the more people will let them be. But there were trainees way better than these members who should have debut and they didn't. I will never be an Illit fan, but I'm also not going out their hating on them.
@@toomuchpassion2361 I watched the show 3 times and actually think if you watched the show without prejudice it becomes more confusing as to why there was so much hate. The first time I watched it, I was very turned off by the BIG6/7 pushers because while I did share some favorites like Chanelle and Yunah...I was incredibly criticized for liking Himena's performance and Seoyeon's deep voice...basically labeled a pedo because I didn't agree directly with the BG6/7 picks.
When I watched the second time, I really paid attention to the girls who ended up in Illit and kept an open mind. I noticed lots of things about Wonhee that directly contradicted what people were saying about her online. She was so good by the end of the show in Aim High and RUN - the narrative of improvement was really cool. I hadn't noticed her before because I had seen so many chimp clips of her earliest performances - especially in heel choreography and hip hop - which were two things she had NEVER done before. You can see her continuing to train while the other girls hang out in different scenes and you can tell she is such a hard worker. Knowing it's her first time doing that, it gave me a whole other perspective on her "bad" performances.
Sure, Wonhee wasn't the best trainee, but she was picked by fans. Her judge scores were always mid and there were many times the only reason she wasn't eliminated was because of fans or luck. While the show is about talent, fans want to be able to vote and that makes it a popularity contest. I think we would have ended up with a completely different group if it was only picked by the judges.

newjeans have this boring and basic style, but at least it was something original at the time... illit's debut was just a recycling of that vibe that all 5th generation ggs are going to try now, because companies realized it's in the hype! I honestly hope the company doesn't lock them into this sound, because in a year or two, this concept will already be saturated.

people should not always focus on babymonster and blackpink, but they should also focus on newjeans and illit, just because they have pretty faces with plastic surgery doesn't mean they are good. People overeact about Babymonsters case. Its similar but no a copy paste. A castle and drums are not something unique to Blackpink. Also when you guys pick different parts of 10 different BP eras to compare to one BM MV then its not really a case copying. Its just a similar vibe.

It’s not BABYMONSTER lol it’s YG. The hate stems from YGs stale and lack of innovation. Which “Sheesh” is extremely dated in sound and there is nothing unique or outstanding about the song or video. Which is a YG problem not a BABYMONSTER problem. If they swapped the title track for “LIKE THAT” I think people would have had a better reception to them but no, the selected the classic YG single and that’s the problem lol.

I’m so tired of hearing about people copying New Jeans. It’s almost every comeback people will say they are copying them. Happened to Riize, Red Velvet, Aespa, Le Sserafim, etc. Granted, ILLIT does have some similarities concept wise (of course nobody owns that concept and they didn’t start it), but their music does not sound like New Jeans at all to me. Saying the choreography is copying is funny to me as choreo moves are always recycled.
Red Velvet, Aespa and Riize's copying NJ allegations are as bizzare as it can get cause the concept NJ is doing now was done way back in the days by SM's 1-2nd gen idols but ILLIT one is legit.. believe it or not ILLIT is a recycled version of NJ but the media play HYBE is doing with them is not helping the group either
Edit : SM idols are known to change their concepts almost every single new comeback so the copying accusations will never work for SM idols atleast
I think it became a strategy to promote new groups through copy allegations. It creates hype and free promotion through hate.
SM promotes aespa in a similar way. SM said aespa is similar to BP. Blink go and watch aespa video to hate them. As a result they get many views. Some blink turned into aespa fans. Also in past, YG said BP prettier version of 2ne1. Bp get some 2ne1 fans.
Now YG is using the same strategy on the babymonster. Babymonster's new comeback has similar moves and outfits like lisa. Lisa's fans will come and watch videos. Many Blinks will hate babymonster for copying.vice versa many blink haters will support babymonster. It's a mind game.
Same hybe using the same strategy like YG and sm. Hybe knows toxic bunny will hate them.
Another thing is SM is one who bring y2k concept in k-pop first. Many things fashion,genre already SM brings in k-pop. Toxic bunnies should stop thinking that NJ started these things in k-pop.
@xiaojae06 I don't think illit is a recycled version of new jeans. The only song that sounds remotely like new jeans is the title track, and many people also think it sounds similar to other groups. Them doing the 90s/ 00s natural look/sound is extremely trendy right now so it makes sense for them to take that route. People are bound to compare new groups to existing groups, but I think people are doing a bit much with this one.
@Bumblebee_diuu_kpop when did sm say aespa is similar to BP? The only thing that's similar is that there are 4 members. I do think babymonster is purposefully being marked as BP 2.0, though.

I'll never support a group that was formed rigidly but anyways, as a person out of their fandoms I do see the similarities of NJ and ILLIT..no matter how much you deny it but it is true that ILLIT is being marketed as NJ recycled 2.0 ver. You can have your opinions but facts won't change cause the similarities are right in front of everyone..ILLIT is a Xerox copy of NJ but slightly altered, even the alternation is not that huge of an alternation to give them their own identity.. it's not the same as any other new group debuting..I only came to know they debuted after their fans pointed out their concept's striking resemblance to NJ which ngl is true..I can totally see it..

newjeans works. they have easy to listen to pretty music, and even then illit has many aesthetic / musical differences + they are under different managements technically (ador vs belift? i think?) and blackpinks / ygs formula is just.. not working. newjeans and illit are both rather new, but ygs has been VEEERRY clearly disliked by a lot of people and it screams “it worked once so we’ll do it again and again because fans will eat it up no matter what” either way i think no groups involved should get hate, all the girls are very talented and criticism should be directed at the labels who dont bother to create new creative brandings with their groups

I don't think it's forced. I think it's just the hate of R U Next being redirected. The show sucked because genuinely talented trainees were passed over and these girls are what's left. I hope they can overcome their origin, bit Hybe had to deliberate postpone their debut because they knew the group the judges formed was not well liked.

In regards to the whole copying choreography (in general and in regards to Illit) I always say: it's not copying it's just...trends? Lol, like I know stans want to think their ults are all geniuses who invented everything. But there have always been and always will be certain trends in all pop music in terms of sound, style, choreography, etc. I'm not trying to sound like a boomer and say "nothing is original these days" but it almost doesn't matter: it's how your faves interpret that trend or whatever that makes them fabulous, not trying to trace back to who is copying who (whom? Idk I'm stoopid, lol).

ILLIT Choreo Criticized for Similarities
Hating on illits debut doesn’t make sense; it literally gives them attention and makes their critics seem salty. *Wouldn’t it make more sense to boycott their debut if you dislike the way the group is formed?*
I personally have been avoiding their debut because…
A. I don’t care about the group
B. The clips I saw of the survival show which give off Fromis_9 (the entire lineup was pre-picked and had already signed contracts before the survival show was even filmed)
Anyways if global fans want to seem serious, they need to display to Hybe that randomly lowering their representation in who joins ILLIT will drastically lower group sales.

i think that the girl answering the questions in that way is what we called a media trained talent because so many times in interviews they asking loaded questions sometimes over and over in an attempt to make you say something out of place or something that can be misconstrued for click bate later and i think them answering the same way was an affective way to not fall in to the pit trap of comparing themselves to anyone or being forced to say something like we are nothing alike or we are better yknow
I'm actually disappointed about mnet for deleting NCT DREAM's SMOOTHIE which had over 170k+ and re-uploaded again to bring up ILLITs debut stage views up..these views could also affect their points on the mcountdown..companies are no more after natural/organic growth
ILLIT was gonna win anyways. They are charting much better in all the Korean charts and have higher MV views, and already sold 270k albums etc

That’s definitely not an excuse lol 😂 Girls Generation sounds nothing like AESPA lol. Wonder Girls sounded nothing like ITZY. Nor did either comparisons have any similarities. To use the excuse “they are similar because they are in the same company” shows that you as a fan don’t care for/value company innovation. Again no one is truly mad at BABYMONSTER we are mad as long time YG fans that they can’t come up with anything different.

The craziest thing about the HSH situation, is that at no point has she considered breaking up with a man who quite literally has left her to drown and flounder. He knows everything from both sides, he is clearly telling her stuff but not saying anything publicly which is allowing her to bare the criticism with Hyeri.
Now I totally get him not wanting to torch a career for a 4 month long relationship, but the way she is willing to fight even harder for it just gives me pause and wonder about her. How much of an impact did meeting him over 30 have that you're willing to go this hard for him? I salute her for being so brave to speak even if she knows she'll regret it and make it worse, but I have to question how can she be so invested in this dude that she is sticking with him and defending him through his silence when he clearly isn't willing to do the same for her? Girl where is your self respect? If she was doing this after ending things with him thats one thing, but sticking with him, insisting on a timetable he told you despite him not being willing to publicly speak on it is insane. Not to mention, again bombarding Hyeri to speak on this when her own boyfriend won't. It reminds me of the Soojin situ, where she literally demanded an answer, staked everything on it and ended up in a worse position when her bluff was called.
I don't she's fighting for the relationship. I think that some fans are trying to make her seem like she's a cheater and she's defending herself. I wouldn't be surprised if they already broke up. But yeah... people are trying to either drag Han Soyee or Hyeri. Either way, the guy is not saying anything.
@@toomuchpassion2361 thing is, she is defending herself by dragging Hyeri in everyline whilst saying nothing about him when all she needed to say was 'as far as I was told, they broke up before November and it was a solid breakup where both wanted to move on and see other people, I met him afterwards'. Why mention she is ignoring you, why speak on someone else's relationship and apologise in the next line, why bring up hyeri's inital post which she already apologised for or demand she make a statement on their relationship timeline when she already did and most of all if she's already broke up with him, it would have been the perfect time to just say it and say, I can't be with someone who not only won't stick up for me, but is also so unclear in ending things, I deserve better. Her lack of commentary on him and guns blazing at Hyeri just seems protective given the circumstances.

I saw only two comments from Hyeri, the first saying this is fun which I took to be aimed at him since she unfollowed straight after and the other was an apology to HSH. I can see how the first could be seen as aiming at HSH, but she hasn't said anything since the apology. This is HSHs fourth post aimed at Hyeri.
Where is she defending him though. She literally stated in the statement that she is frustrated that he is remaining silent. She is not fighting to defend her relationship. She is fighting to make it known that she is no home wrecker. She literally said he could have lied to her about things.
Sheesh was the only teaser song that gave me a pause since it did give me hard Kill this love vibes. Other than that, all the other teaser songs sound unique and I'm just happy that the girls are finally going to fully debut with all 7 members!
As for the media, play whatever. Most articles start with Hybe's Youngest Daughters. If anything, it's the media and K-pop fans who keep mentioning New Jeans. As for the reporters, it's clear as day they were trying to get them to slip up and make an article saying they disrespected New Jeans by saying XYZ.
The dances are literally just typical moves you see in hiphop dance/tiktok
the han so hee, hyeri, and ryu's situation could have been solved on a group chat i feel so sad for both girls
i like how they call them "newjeans younger sister" just so they can say that "newjeans" are on another level. like their debut age and their literal age are so close. The older-little sister dynamic can be used to BP-BM

When I saw the Sheesh mv teaser I was definetly taken aback on how SIMILAR it was to the HYLT intro scene, but also Lalisa and Kill this love Jisoo arrow scene, BM is just gonna be labeled a BP knockoff left and right

THAT MAN IS THE ISSUE and staying silent when it’s obvious his involvement with both ladies is the issue. He’s a coward imo 🤷🏻♀️ I hope both ladies free themselves of dealing with him and others because the headaches and discomfort is not worth it for someone who won’t defend and protect you. @@CandyCane23049 It's like General Motors in the 1980s and 1990s. Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Pontiac. All of them supposedly different car companies, but subsidiaries of GM. They also all sold pretty much the exact same cars, but with different hood ornaments, different hubcaps and different badges.
I think Illit probably were afraid to say what was different between them and New Jeans because whatever their answer is might get taken as a diss and they don't want drama. I could easily seeing anything they say go south

@@lucycarlay8547 SM and JYP have similar problems, like when AESPA debuted the backlash they got for "covering up" RV scandals, or ITZY got a lot of hate for copying bp and twice in their debut. HYBE and YG are way more popular and looked at, thats why the hate for them is stronger

Whilst I'm happy for Han So Hee for standing up for herself, I do think unfortunately a lot of people aren't going to take her seriously unless she leaves that guy. Her mentioning her frustration over him being silent means nothing if she remains dating him. Tbh ILLIT's song Magnetic is like any other NewJeans song. This song is quite pleasant to listen to but technically it's not difficult to sing. It feels like it's just another mediocre group based on visuals and popularity of their prev artists and company. Their vocal skills aren't special but just another cutessy voices. Ofc I wish them luck and I hope their company give them more vocal training bcs these new kpop artists lack in that field when imo it should be priority.
I don't want to compare them but also Babymon debuted today and hearing their voices I was like Woooow! These girls were trained properly, their singing technique is impeccable, some have vast vocal range, some have great rapping flow and their visuals are addition to their singing skills. Yes, they will be compared to Blackpink bcs it's the same company and their songs are being made similarly but still quite different

Kids on social media say the darndest things. "[Rosé] has the least part in their full album". Huh? She actually got a solo song...in the group's full album...and is the only member who has ever gotten a solo song in a group album. Besides that, she's almost always the member who has either the first or second highest amount of time in part distributions on group songs (usually just trading places with Jennie for number 1 or number 2). Lisa and Jisoo have about one song each in the entire discography where they got the most time. Also they're acting like Rosé has no choice. Isn't she independent now, just like the other members? I really don't get it. I think the fans of any of the other members would be excited about their fave doing the theme song or "signal song" for a big Mnet TV show. It's not like anyone is saying that this one song is her quota for the whole year and she's not going to be allowed to do anything else. When Lisa did the "Classy Savage" feature on "Kingdom" (also an Mnet show) to help promote iKon, her fans were just happy to see her doing it. Some fans are just in perpetual negativity/complain mode and don't know how to respond to anything in a positive way.

I do think ILLIT's debut was really similar to NewJeans, and like I said in my video, HYBE is trying to create groups that emulate them - but we want new stuff, not just the same groups over and over. Their B Sides, however, are so different and cool and I don't understand why they picked a song/dance that had such a similar vibe to NewJeans, except for the fact that now everyone is talking about that.
