It is WILD to see Soul Calibur 1 + 2 showing up in tournaments. I have both games (1 on the dreamcast; 2 on the PS2) as options for the game club I run. The students have adapted to both games so fast. Makes me laugh.
Totally agree. Absolutely best.... lol maybe I'm a little bit biased, but outta the 3Ds SC2 and T7 are on my top. Wish sc2 had a decent online netcode for PlayStation or make one for steam.
Mick was a great man. A true gentleman. I know he had a little difficulty adjusting after coming back from the war, but he always took care of his own ppl. He has a huge heart. I was lucky enough to chat w him one last time during our local stream. He asked me if I was a married Lady yet. That made me crack up!
GG's and congrats to KNR. I really tried my darndest, but ran outta steam and my defense was terrible. I'm also super Happy for KNR! He worked it and was hungrier for the victory. With my own disappointment comes motivation and determination. I'll get ya next time, KNR ;). Happy to see 2 Raph's in top 4 and great to see Michigan's TLCrow repping. I’ve played 2 and 6 and I gotta say two feels so much better as a game I played a bunch of it when six was almost out, the new game felt like all the characters were too reliant on gimmicks
Dude, that Kilik was GODLIKE! neither Kilik or Raphael are good characters in this game, so shout out to both KNR AND Millard Crow for getting so far into the tournament.
@@chernobyln KNR was the only Kilik in this tournament and Kilik in general was a not-common pick in high level play back in the day. I personally always felt he was good, probably upper-mid, but the work you had to do for him (and the risks you had to take) with him are far different from the rest of the cast and frankly most people would just rather pick XIanghua lol. Raph is mid/low tier but being low tier in this game is kind of meaningless, everyone's really strong and the gaps are not huge between tiers. To get a proper taste of why Raph is not great in this game, though, look at the Raph mirror in this video: you can see a lot of instances of moves you'd think have some tracking (2K, Throw... sometimes horizontals) just get hyper obliterated by any sort of lateral movement lol. He probably has the most exploitable-to-step movelist in the game. If Necrid and Yunsung didn't exist he'd probably be the worst in the game.

The video quality looks like it could be composite as it looks a bit fuzzy, which would make sense as that's the easiest cable to buy for the system (component is kinda pricey and hard to find OEM from what I remember).
