Thank you and respect!
nice rolling, this is a perfect example how to roll with technique not with strength beautiful art
Thank you. That is truly the ultimate compliment. Respect!
Happy to have found you channel, I'm 52, just joined a jiu-jitsu school. Totally loving the rolling with other students and getting insight to the art. Thanks
I’m happy you found it too! Stay safe !
A tip for you is too show specific parts in slow motion after it happened, while you're doing the commentary.
Yes I thought about that before but never acted on it. Thank you!
@@Jitsover50 You're welcome. Thx for the content
I appreciate the advice you give. Thank you!
Well it feels good to feel appreciated. Thank you!
Can I have some advice from expert BJJers? I’ve been a white belt for a few months. Since I’ve been doing BJJ I keep getting sick. Flu, sore throats, colds etc. Before starting jiu jitsu I never got sick. Now I’ve been very ill 3 times in as many months. Does this happen when you first start? Does your immune system require some adjustment to all the close proximity to others? Any thoughts? I’d appreciate it
I went for 10 years without getting sick. I think training builds up your immune system. It could be because you are in close contact and eventually your system will build up. Maybe see a doctor and get blood work. How old are you?
Yeah I agree I dont get sick as much but did get ringworm and a dialocated finger.
Ringworm could also be a sign of a weakened immune system. Though it doesn't have to be. I had it at least 5 times in the last 15 years.@@bujindork
@@Jitsover50 Thanks for answering my question. I’m 43. I have high level of fitness. Played competitive sport etc. Hopefully things will normalise a bit. I love doing the training; would be a bummer to stop. Maybe I’ve been unlucky and rolled with people who were sick themselves and should’ve stayed home? Or maybe, there’s no connection and it’s all in my head? 😂😂😂🤯🤯🤯
Is it true simply just showing up will make sure you keep getting better ? What helped you in the beginning a lot with the mental aspect of getting beat up a lot.
I think by just showing up a certain level of proficiency is developed. The add strength and athleticism. To get to the highest levels where less explosiveness, speed and athleticism are used. One must become obsessed with study. You want to be able to control and submit opponents with as little effort as possible. With the added bonus of making it safer for both you and your partner. As for "getting beat up". I never saw it that way. I would just concentrate on what aspect of my game I wanted to make better. In the early stages it was defense after getting passed. Then guard retention. So just focus on how to improve not on the fact that you're getting beat up. If you go back and watch my first video with George as a new white belt he displays the proper attitude. He laughs when I submit him. I hope this helps!
@@Jitsover50 thanks for that detailed answer . I just got promoted today so I think I need to be easier on myself and just keep on applying myself and showing up . I always try to drill techniques from previous classes so that helps .
Love it
Thank you Michael! Respect!
