I was at Crosby juniors at the time, Mrs Arch was our lovely class teacher, the whole school marched down to our spot on Exeter Rd to wave our flags and cheer, schoolchildren as far as the eye could see. The cheering when she passed in the limousine was fantastic. Such happy childhood days.

It's great to see the old tradition of waving handkerchiefs as a form of salute. It really looks impressive.
