The stud cap bolts is for the strainer an other one is for oil return pipe for turbo An i suspect that crank has been ground once to 0.25mm oversize bearings On big ends an main bearings Id deffo get bores measured Maybe hone it out see if it takes the marks out was there a lip towards the top of the bores
Iirc dates are stamped under inlet port on number one cylinder..also exhaust ports should be d shaped as standard on series two heads. Series ones had circular exhaust ports with sodium filled valves. Series two head castings where basically xr3i heads..with a turbo cam and turbo springs. Sometimes the messier looking heads are actually better as long as they clean up.
Tbh I think you've done OK concidering wot you've got but end off the day you've got a ford so it only matters if you think you got a deal or not.like to see how you get on with the bits. But Yeh anyway good update mate .👍
Thanks for this video! keep the ford content coming! I reckon , you do one head and send a head to machine shop with block etc - but you build it up! Sorry I know nothing about CVH engines - I do know my s2 use to wheel spin in 4th gear with four people in the car and this was back in 1996! Never ever got to find out he true spec but i know it was running 1 bar back then that was quite a bit lol
Needs recording no2 looked like had deep scoring or pos a crack in it . Look ip barum engines in UA-cam lee will sort it out good guy dose my cosworth engines
Thanks for the comment, yes I’m planning on sending the block off for inspection as I’m not a mechanic “just self taught”. I did manage to pick up a complete block of eBay for £50 so I’m hoping between the two blocks I can make a good one. I will check out Barum engines👍

There is 2 rocker covers 88 spec and 90 spec .
We’re crossover pipe fits the 90 spec is wider than the 88 spec .

Crank looks like it might polish out, but its hard to tell without first hand inspection, get some protection on it, don't let it rust anymore.

Mate if you ever use any off em make sure the oil ways arnt blocked/gunked up , very important. There very small like 5mm.

Fat small seals are for injectors
So is the copper one , well for the metering head. Think the paper gasket was the csv (few year ago might be wrong)
No pipe for air box
