I've got the wera hex keys and they are great 👌🏼 I think the ball shaped end is so you can use it on an angle which is great for tight spots 👌🏼

Have had the knife as my 'daily driver' for about 6months now. It's great, the proper pen knife blade is there and can be sharpened on the rare occasions you need it, and the stanley-style blade covers the other 95% of use! They only thing is, the mechanism tends to fill up with 'schmoo' and I've struggled to clean it as it's not easy to disassemble. As for the 'pride' Wera Hex keys....they are the best. I get a stupid grin every time I use them. I know, I need to get out more....
Disclaimer: Am not a spark but a DIYer, although I do very rarely get on the tools at work in an engineering company.

Thanks for your comments! I’m loving the Wera Hex keys too! So much stronger than a normal set and with the length you get really good leverage.

Knipex also make a dismantling knife specifically for armoured cable the 98 55 been using one for years great tool for all sizes of cable. Works well when you come across those random hard to strip cheap cables with awful stuck together insulation.

Yeah it is but I found mine fell apart rather quickly sadly! Granted I did happen to use it a lot to notch out some noggins for boxes. Also mine felt like it was all about loose after being bashed around a bit but still a pod idea. Maybe mine was a one off, would have given it another go and got a replacement but got given a set of chisels when a mate cleared out his garage so didn’t bother. Hope you’re fairs better than mine.

How do you say knife, well knipex is the same both German in origin.
As for the bent longnose pliers, I have a set of 3 longnose 1 at a right angle 1 with an offset and finaly a straight pair. They were purchased from Machine Mart, known as my "dentist" pliers very handy as many a Spark can testify because they have used them.

It's a shame that Wera don't supply the stainless metric hex keys in a pouch like they do with the AF set. The plastic holder is OK, but I really like the pouch that the AF set are supplied with.

Wera do a stubby screwdriver that you can change the bits on. I've found it more practical than the fixed stubby you've purchased. Check it out.

Hi, when you get a chance you should take a look at the Draper expert ergo plus VDE pliers, the pliers are made in Germany for Draper by orbis will which is part of the knipex group, they are stamped made in Germany on them, they are sold on eBay and Amazon, they are very reasonably priced for the money, if you check out orbis evoline pliers on UA-cam they are the exact same pliers......

Wera tools and knipex cutters are top drawer, I use them and recommend them highly. You get what you pay for with tools. I was looking at the wera Allen key set to replace my old ones too, as well as the vde knipex knife. I use scruffs work trousers though, lol.. Spacious and not claustrophobic in lofts etc. Stanley chisel looked a bit meh.. Looks like it would break after a few good whacks 😁 Great vid.
