    Totally captivated from first word to the very last !! You draw me into every single word ! You have such remarkable talent Scott!
    Not just telling a story but how you change voices and it’s tone and inflections. It’s really listening to several different people and not just a narrator trying to mimic a voice.
    You need way way way more subscribers! You’re definitely under appreciated!! Let’s see what we can do about that !! 😉😊🌹

    • @NyanCatHerder
      @NyanCatHerder 5 років тому +1

      The name is a reference to Fermi's Paradox. One of the (less likely, but more fun) explanations is that we haven't made contact with aliens because they've all been wiped out by a few superpredator civilizations or one hyperpredator. It's an "hourglass", because the inadvertent hyperpredators are made of sand.
      Not that the Fermi Bubbles aren't cool. They are.

    The dust bunnies weren’t acting out of hate or really anything like it. They just happened to have some shit happen to them. They font want to hurt humanity, sparing the planets hosting them. But their effects just fuck with us. Jeez, I love shit like this

    • @NyanCatHerder
      @NyanCatHerder Рік тому

      That was actually my whole reason for writing this, several years ago.
      The theme was supposed to be cosmic horror, but stripped of all its common tropes. No tentacles, no weird and unpronounceable names, just something ancient and unimaginable that destroys worlds through the simple fact of its existence rather than any malicious intent. I drew the specific details from the idea of "berserkers", self-replicating space probes that have evolved through random replication errors to become dangerous when their real purpose was just to make contact with new intelligent species.
      More trivia than anything, but the layout of the aliens was inspired by Kyubey from "Puella Magi Madoka Magica". Kyubey is a kind of hive mind alien creature kind of like a cat that has no way to understand how much pain its actions cause, because it uses emotional suffering to generate energy to power the Universe, but lacks any emotions of its own (or at least any complex emotions; it seems to be capable of feeling physical comfort and desiring specific outcomes, but those aren't really feelings like sadness, grief, rage, happiness, etc.). Coincidentally, later materials in the same franchise actually suggest that Kyubey itself is probably an artificial intelligence.

    This existential shit, and certain body horror, that effectively evokes cancer through physical reconfiguration....the only horror that actually makese feel something like fear....like imagine if you we're an immortal vampire....but then you get stretched....warped... spaghettified....into a singularity!!! It's pure existential terror.....

    Hey Naturestemper? Is there anyway you could do a Lord of the Rings horror?
    One of the absolute best creepypastas out there is " they mostly come at night, mostly. " I love that stuff for real.
    If you think about it, look how great the alien franchise is. ( Well the first three are pretty good.) I think people would really relate to a Lord of the rings horror story. What do you think nature? I mean look how good the story ...they mostly come at night, mostly, did... That's a great story. But if people saw LoTR pop up as a muddahuckin creepypasta, I think your subs would rocket bro. Peaces!!! ☮️
