Mine has turned into a very expensive paperweight.
Had I known that I'd only use it for macros specific to my workflow I would've gotten a much cheaper Streamdeck.
After a year of owning it, I still can't get myself to use the knobs. My keyboard shortcut proficiency is too quick to be removing my hand from the keyboard over to the CT.
My opinion is that this was designed with laptop users in mind.

Sir, I have a pic of 11 player, I want highlight all one by one whenever those name are speak. while others are blurred. How to do that without making 11 copies of each player. Pls tell.
Sorry but I'm not clear on your question.
For selecting clips, hold Cmd (Mac) Ctrl (Win) and select discontiguous clips in the Project panel or in the Timeline.
This seems like a great tutorial, but very frustrating that Loupedeck have changed the software so much, some of it is hard to understand.
Hi Colin. Thank you so much for this video. I just got my LoupeDeck CT and the first thing I wanted to do after watching your video was to download your CT profile and use extract-o. unfortunately, it doesn't work for me like it does for you in the video. The mark out and extract happens, but the playhead just stays at the edit point. It doesn't step back one frame or many frames, nor does it play. Am I missing something?
This thing is awesome, and you make it seem fun and easy to set up and work with. I know it's going to take me some time to fully understand, but I'll use you as a guide. Thanks again- ver y good video.

Hello colin if you see this I have a quick question I would like to ask:
I have a 2017 spectre 360, basically it’s outdated and the graphics card is maxed out. it can’t keep up with Adobe premiere 2020.
Should I: download an older version of premiere? Or do anything else?
And for the future, is building a “gaming” type PC the way to go? I would be able to change out parts and it could handle new versions.

I haven't followed compatibility of older versions of Premiere Pro so you can try it but you're going to be missing some features.
Gaming PCs are perfect for video editing as both benefit from the same things like lots of RAM, powerful GPU and fast drives.
Do you recoomend this or a combination of Streamdeck + tangent ripple?
Hello, sorry for Noob question, hoping you can help me, is there any way to simply program a button to open a Mac Folder or Mac Document ? (super easy on Streamdeck, i cant seem to work out how to do it in Loupedeck Software)
Hey Andy, you have to pick the RUN-Button and then enter the path. Its important to put Open|| first. So for example you can put the path: Open||//Users/cara1/Desktop/01_Workflow/01_Videos

Awesome video. All of my middle buttons works. The 6 side dials and big middle dial do not adjust anything when manipulated. Any suggestions

Does this unit support pressure fast forward/rewind like the Shuttle Pro V2? I found the Shuttle Pro V2 spring outer wheel to be very useful ... however, the software aspect of the Shuttle Pro is HORRIBLE! Hence why I'm looking for an alternate controller for Adobe Premiere Pro.
No. The wheel is free moving and will not snap back like the Shuttle Pro.
@@VideoRevealed Thank you for the review and response, appreciate it. Loupedeck CT does look like a very powerful device. The biggest issue I have with the Shuttle Pro is the software/drivers ... they seem to break with every new update to Adobe Premiere.
I wonder if you can add to the loupdeck like Excalibur and cinema grade extensions I have in premiere pro ?
You can add multiple operations in the Loupedeck Configuration but it's not identical to Excalibur. You can trigger an Excalibur command via a keyboard shortcut using the Loupedeck CT.
The form of device isn’t quite ergonomic. Logitech G13 or SpaceMouse Enterprise (and all stuff like “gamer keyboards” for left hand) is more comfortable to use.
The point of this device is not to be like a mouse. It's to add a huge amount of control to your workflow. It's meant to work alongside a mouse and keyboard, not replace them.
Sir, how can I use script or macro in premier pro. I want to make pre defined key for faster work.
There are no macros in Premiere Pro on its own. You need to add tools like Loupedeck or Excalibur.
@@VideoRevealed Alternatively, look into AutoHotkey, which can be used to create macros for any software running on windows and even windows itself ;D
I was interested in this device few month ago. It looks so cool.But not suitable for real work. I think a device like Blackmagic editing keyboard would be great , but cheaper and suitable for all editing software ,not only for Davinci. Anyway , thanks for your sharing
One of the many benefits of the Loupedeck CT is its small footprint so it's not an accurate comparison with a full keyboard.

Not high end better be a mid range one...
Just buy the best you can afford from Dell, HP or Lenovo.
I am a big fan of your tutorials. But I believe we need a less complicated device. All of your viewers are beginners to intermediate. And I believe I review of the Tourbox would be much better.

How do you change how sensitive a dial is? I'd like to change the zoom dial to be more sensitive and add a jog (5 sec + 30 sec) option to replace the pan and clip select functions. If you can zoom to the correct level, the mouse scroll wheel works good enough. I configured my mouse back / forward buttons to select clips, so the clip selection function is useless to me as well.
I can move the dial a single frame or pixel at a time so I'm not sure if it can be more sensitive than that? There is not setting for sensitivity that I know of.
I'm not sure if i going to ask correct... When i change my Speed/Duration on my clips im always have to use my mouse while to increase or decrease de numbers. Is any way i can substitute using the Loupdeck system ? Thanks
No. Loupedeck can only affect what Adobe makes available. They do not have any options for programmers to change the the Speed/Duration numbers using a control surface.

How do I assign a specifc video transition (dissolver, whip,etc) to a LD CT button?
You can only select the transitions available in the actions. Crossfade, Dip To White, and Default are the only choices.
@@VideoRevealed It also offers "blur" as an effect option but when I try to use it, the clip on the timeline isn't impacted at all. Am I missing something when it comes to applying the effect?

do you know if it's possible to configure the buttons for presents & transitions in premiere?
The only button would be to apply the Default Transition (Cmd+D (Mac) Ctrl+D (Win) but you must drag all the other Transitions manually to apply them. Same with Presets.
In an earlier version of the Loupedeck (LD+), each click of the wheel would make an entry in "history." So if you rotated the dial in one continuous motion through 20 clicks, this causes 20 entries to be made in "history." So if you made two or three different adjustments, you just wiped out your past history. One adjustment should count as 1 entry in "history" rather than the number of degrees of rotation you made on the wheel. Has this been addressed with LoupedeckCT?
Yes that's the way it works. I think that's expected behaviour so let the Loupedeck folks know if you want something different to happen.
@@VideoRevealed I spoke to Loupedeck and they said it was a Premiere Pro issue and not a Loupedeck issue. Since you have contacts in
Adobe, can you bring it up with them.

Yes it would. There would be some overlap in functionality but it would work.
Having done a bit more research, I have decided to go with Modular CC. How do you think they stack up against each other.
I'm not aware of Modular CC. If you mean, Monogram, I have that too and will be doing a future tutorial on it.

Yes you can. Use the command "Move Videokeyframe".

I just tried it and it worked for me. I had to go to the advanced choice in Chrome, but I did finally make it to the product on Amazon.

my crop and scaling features aren't working, anyone have any ideas?
I couldn't get mine to work automatically either. I was told an update is coming. I did get it to work by first manually applying the effect, then using the controls.
