- I tested every single weapon in Chivalry 2 and found the top 10 worst weapons of all time.
I tested every weapon for: damage- slash, overhead, stab, heavy slash, heavy overhead, heavy stab, special, bonuses to knights/footman, average damage per second, weapon reach, recovery speed, and hit speed for all types of attacks!
This took me around 2 weeks to finish so hope you guys enjoy all the stats and information. All the stats I didn't state in the video for sake of keeping it shorter than the original 5 hour long video (LOL) will be on my discord.

This is the type of tier list I like: I'll pick a weapon based on looks and not their power, but I want to know if I'm in for a hard time.

The glaive is insanely fast when accelling. I don’t know how you gathered speed data but I know for a fact the glaive is near 1h sword speed when used by a proficient player.
Yup, it's amazing, I main glaive and get scores like 71/45/15. A true hidden gem.
it has the fastest overhead swing in whole game with exception of rapier and knife.. with longest reach in game aswell :D
Hmmmm my fave class is acc the halberd and cudgel. I feel play style determines how viable a weapon is
Maybe, but no mater what play style you use theirs a better option. The halberd is more for keeping enemies at bay and the cudgel is for overwhelming a single oppenent. So based on stats and your play style I’d recommend the warclub since it’s a good mix of what’s good about the halberd and the cudgel.
Meanwhile me in the corner with a halberd on my back going full knife gremlin.
Thanks for the video man, when I hop into the game I thought the glavie was a bad ass weapon based on its looks, but now understanding its limits, I dont think it delivers the feel in fights I expected it will, probably gonna try other weapons now.
Halberd at 4th was the biggest shock. Ziggylata really rates this weapon

Great video. I really appreciated the effort you put into measuring the recovery times, though it wasn’t entirely clear to me whether you were using the whiff recovery or hit recovery. Personally I would have only focused on the hit recovery, since if you’re whiffing a have other problems besides weapon choice. Everyone misses hits here or there, but I wouldn't choose my weapon primarily on the presumption I won't be hitting the enemy.
I think, had you done so, the morning star and mace would have moved off the list. The speedy hit stop recovery, especially for the latter two makes them ideal gambling machines (I also find their tracer is very effective at moving around block, but maybe that’s just me). I do wonder whether you put a bit too little weight on length and accelerate-ability, both of which give the warclub and glaive an advantage over the Halberd. It could be a difference in play styles.
Not including primarily throwing weapons, my list would be (not worst to worst): Pick Axe, Glaive, Poleaxe, Sledge, Dagger, Halberd, Hatchet, Cudgel, Rapier, Knife.

@@DozerB555 Why are you replying to a comment a year and a half old? Rapier received a buff in March 2022, increasing combo speed and boosting stab damage by 10. Made a huge difference.

Usually within 30 seconds of spawning, I’ve thrown all of my weapons and I end up with whatever I can find on the ground.

Do certain weapons not break shield easier? I feel like the two handed hammer shreds shields on a heavy
Axes and a few other weapons break shields faster. The game tells you which ones do bonus damage below the weapon before choosing
I main the two handed hammer, I do really well with it, any recommendations for what else I could use?
Warclub, heavy mace, and warhammer are the best blunt weapons so I’d recommend trying those out. Shovel is also surprisingly not bad for 1v1s and places higher than the two handed hammer

The glaive is one of my favorite weapons, but yeah it needs a buff
It definitely doesn’t feel bad to use but the second you look at how much damage you’re actually doing or you fight more than one person at a time you realize how slow and bad it truly is
It's literally a short sword with insane reach. I use the glaive alot and feel like it's OP

With all respect, I don't think you have tested the weapons to their maximum output. The two handed hammer can be acceled faster than a LS and slower than an exe axe depending how you play it.
I love how you were talking about all the faults on the weapons and still in the background game play smacking the dog shit out of people with them. Is there no weapon you can’t use.
Lmao, I just used random clips too didn’t even mean for them to look good. But thanks man, I play the game way too much and I’m level 300 now with a 14 K/D. I’ve been using the throwing mallet (rock skin) and the worst weapons for fun for a while now.
These are only guidelines, a player can still murder with his fists if he's good

I use the sledge because It's funny I think. I just keep saying "that's it, I'm getting my mallet," and proceed to stomp all lobbies I get into.
I wouldve found this video super helpful if i found it when it was new. You did a great job on it, but i do have some differing opinions. For example the halberd may be one of the slowest weapons but it is also the longest (besides lance, i dont count lance). If a knight or vanguard picks up a halberd the results can be devastating. Also even if the special on the sledgehammer isnt high on damage, it's still worth using at the right moment. The boost to blocking stamina damage of it not being able to be countered can be the trick you need to push your opponent over the edge. I appreciate the way theyre using the special for more than just big damage with some of the more recent weapons.

Thanks for the introduction! I just played this game for less than 50 hours, and every time I use the glaive of the footman, I feel that the swing is slower than other people's two-handed weapons, the original data are all wrong/(ㄒoㄒ)/~~

I really hate that they grouped weapons like the billhook into glaive category. Billhook was fucking great in Chiv 1.
billhook is a halberd in chiv 2, not a glaive

The fact that the Katars isn't on this list but the Halberd is baffles me
are there somewhere the data of the weapons? and how they work as well, like difference between slashers and choppers
In-game they give you the basics of the weapon stats and what bonuses weapons do. In my discord I have notes going in detail every weapon’s stats

It's speed is only relative to other axes. By far, it's the fastest.
I'm surprised about the morgenstern, it worked great for me.
The Morningstar? That’s why it placed higher on the list it’s bad but not terrible. Useful for 1v1s against knights

my two favourite weapons, the morningstar and the rapier, neither is that good.
just happy to hear that the mace is basically a morningstar as that is my go to secondary.
i'm just really disappointed in general over the rapier as the last unlockable primary weapons for the man at arms, you'd think it would be pretty decent, but you're just better of using the sword or falchion, the only thing the rapier gives you is style points.

It’s much better now since they buffed the damage. Used to do around the same damage as a glaive.

Your timing these attacks with a stop watch?
Lmao no, I record my character attacking for each direction for heavy and light then go frame by frame to see when the attack starts when it lands and when it can be recovered into a block to be as accurate as possible.
The defense and footwork in the video are excellent, I hope there will be a tutorial
Tutorial? Lol they already give you one in game. Just takes time to figure things out. I could possibly give some tips but no one would watch it
@@SpartanIsGaming I will watch it! I have found that some players in the game can easily counterattack (blue sparks), but I have a hard time doing it. It's hard for me to beat these players.
@@zeronid1371 oh yeah I’ve gotten to the point where I never block and only counter attacks thrown at me. Just have to practice with bots for the timing

Morningstar is so bad. I have no idea how you're wielding it so effectively. I can't hit an elephant with it, if it was right in front of me. The range is horrible and it misses 90% even when Im definitely within range. It just hits nothing. And sometimes also the dude just stands there even when I'm slashing like a madman. I'm on Xbox one. Just started playing it seems all people do is choose longest range weapon and spam slash. No skill at all just sh1tplay.
Let me know what you Spartans think the worst weapon in Chivalry 2 is. Personally I wish I could have placed the Halberd in that #1 spot.

The halberd is the absolute worst, I was trying to level it up but I gave up. I hate it so much that if I ever lose a weapon I'd rather grab a dagger than that molasses of a weapon
Found out the game lies..... cool. But came here to find the worst weapon so that I can use it.
Rapier doesn't belong on this list! At least this video serves as a good example that the stats on a weapon, doesn't mean much at all . also the two-handed hammer deletes knights in a spectacular fashion... But it's not like half the player base plays knight class 😊 my least favorite weapon in the game is the Messer, because it feels kinda boring to play with and I rarely have any difficulty defending against it.

I've been praying the glave for a while now and it's not that bad if you are good at the game. It's actually impressive what I've been doing and all of that was using the worst weapon in the game

The stat list needs a redesign. Especially dmg, speed & length being measured with...a meter? For some reason. Instead of speed being milliseconds, dmg being actual numbers instead of a yellow line and length, idk maybe inches
Yeah for sure, would make it much easier to compare weapons.

It’s damage output and time to hit helped it from being the absolute worse weapon

I think unarmed is the worst but probably the funnest challenge of the game. Have to use charged up attack, dodge, ducks, kicks and sprint attack/tackle all at the appropriate times and block is obviously useless. You can actually do ok against really slow weapons if you keep aggressively punching them before they can swing.
I have a few clips of beating 1v1 players in 6 rounds with fists vs weapons. I’ll be using it for the intro to the top 10 best weapons

the halberd looks like an bardiche to me...
the halberd was used for centuries in europe and chivalry2 just ruins it by turning it into a discount bardiche
I think you have 3 different skin options and I had the bardiche one. Not sure tho, absolutely terrible to use but looks cool

@@takuoku2546 There are 3 different skins of it there’s the bardiche bill hook and halberd but in chivalry 2 they are all classified as a halberd which makes no sense because they are actually 3 different weapons all together!
I love halberds in real life love the design of the weapon loved using them in dark souls and pretty much any other game that had them but I have to agree with u it is trash in this game
I do to, they are really cool looking and works well in any other game
I'd say the throwing knife and throwing axe are quite bad. Throwing in this game is terrible and unlike the Javelin they aren't good in melee range.
I have the stats for the throwing weapons in melee but decided they don’t count. Throwing knifes you can’t use in melee but the javelin is terrible. Throwing mallet is fun tho
