- Purging leads to great treasures sometimes…and as a result, Nanny has resurrected an old unfinished ROCK PAINTING PROJECT! She has spent the last few days hunting down special rocks ….and her old paints and brushes…and has created a painting video, as many of you requested…to begin again a very satisfying CRAFT PROJECT. Nannie you are so talented. During Covid after we begin visiting again, my great grandchildren were coming for a visit and i decided we would paint rocks for the flower garden, nothing as detailed as yours, just whatever they could draw. I too went to the rock yard with a three gallon bucket, picked out some rocks and when I told the gentleman what I was doing, he gave them to me free also. There are really kind people in this world. We had a most wonderful day. ❤❤

Nanny, your Joseph turned out just adorable. Our great granddaughter & I have painted kindness rocks for many years. Then we leave them all over, when we go on trips. The great thing about leaving them, for someone, is our almost teenager, has a great “Eye” for finding them. Keep on painting your nativity Nanny!👍🏻💕

Aw.....Nanny....now you are a Rock Star! So enjoyed your picking out just the right rocks for your project. Joeseph turned out perfectly. Yes, continue your tutorial on rock painting....angels, shepherds, wise men, camels, maybe even a cat or little dog. You could also paint some little figures for your beautiful gardens.....using just the right rocks....a turtle, a frog, maybe even a little worm or lady bug. or some little garden elves and fairies. Not too many, just a few to place around or in your garden pots or as gifts. Looking forward to our next video....

Once again, you are giving me great ideas, I've been painting little Christmas houses for other holidays like valentines day, St. Patricks day, so when I see them at thrift stores I 'imagine' them for other holidays... amazing what paint can do! And glitter or other little things to glue on. Now I need to go find little rocks!!!

Love watching how you paint your rocks. It has been a few years since I did rock painting. Most of my paintings are now on canvas or wood. I can give you a couple of hints to make your life easier! 1) A small blow dryer is useful for quickly drying sections you have painted. 2) Get a "tub o'towels" available at walmart, some dollar stores, any car store. Usually in automotive section. They are in a pop up dispenser, will quickly clean your hands and even gets paint off clothes & furniture. Pleasant smelling & not hard on your skin at all. Makes clean up a breeze 😊
