Best one I've seen... just the basic, stripped down tom part without the various flavorings of other drummers so we can get the basics and build on own
Thanks!! Yeah, this is the basic figure which is built upon. Often Gene would put in a slight variation for the third repeat (bars 7 and 8) leading back into a new 8 measure phrase
Thanks for sharing. Could you answer a question for a non-drummer? Why do you hold the stick the other way around with your left hand? Thanks in advance for educating a bass player.
Because I mostly play traditional grip, the best way for me to flip the stick into matched grip is to have the stick backwards in my matched grip. If you watch old videos of Gene Krupa or Buddy Rich, you'll see they do the same thing. I wasn't using traditional grip in this video so it wasn't entirely necessary to have the stick flipped. Thanks for your question though :)
thank you very much, first one to show me the way i understand
Always glad to help 😊
Thank you so much! I need to play on one snare alone to this song in ukelele class. Wish me luck!

There are two main ways to hold the left stick and it mostly just depends on what you are comfortable with
Also, playing with the back of the stick gives the floor tom more definition on the accents.
thank you so much😭✨✨✨✨✨✨
very clean. thank you :)
Thats the Techo Disco Cheap Trick Version for beginners! lol lol Sound la loo la lee doo doo doo
Thank you
Thank you so much, I've been looking for this! Is there any specific name to this general groove?
MandoLaredo jungle maybe
Alan Wolsan yeah I had the same thought thanks anyways!
Krupa beat
Accents are cascara
0:30
1:11
Great stuff. Ty.
good job
Great, thanks!
The tabs say the high hat is on 2&4 but your playing them on every half beat.
I thought your back supposed to be straight
Why is his his stick the wrong way around
Because using the butt end of the stick will give more attack and a slightly fatter sound.
What’s your sequence? Another guy has RLLRRRL I couldn’t follow yours, but it sounded better.
I'm basically playing single strokes (RLRL etc.), but ghosting the notes in between the accents. Herlps to keep the flow of the groove
По нотам - рисунок хай-хэта не правильный
could you tell us the drum strokes thanks
How I play it is: R R r L r l R l r L r L r l. It looks/sounds close, but I am not 100% sure.
Wow! Okay, now I heard elsewhere it was RlRl rLrl RirL rLrl and so on. It seams there are many versions.
4th grade skills
@brianchisnell1548 You’re cocky, but without the Y.
