Imagine how often this piece would have been performed if the composer's name had been Carl instead of Clara. Some well-known group of musicians should be working to get this piece better known.

This is absurd. There are thousands of good composers men which are forgotten and never played. Only geniuses survive, and Clara wasn't one. The melodies are not inspired and uniques, the harmonies are sticking to the fashion of that time, then there are no major works worth to be constantly played. Clara was a good composer, that ends there. Listen to her husband's op.1, the Abegg variations to see how a genius blossoms.
I am all for discovering and playing everyone's music, men or women, but then accept its place in history instead of artificially pushing for.
Instead of explaining WHY this trio is worth playing you just pull the feminist aspect, this is not the way.
