- With the $1.4 billion stadium deal approved by the city, News4JAX took a closer look at how it will affect the parks downtown near the complex.
I believe you people should go up to Savannah and see how to do parks!!!
The council CUT $90million for greater community improvements but left $56 for parks. Quite a cut they want to "revisit" later. Of course, most of the money benefits a billionaire and all the politicians that now can receive legalized gratuity for helping make the billionaire even more wealthy. All studies I recall show that tax dollars funding sports stadiums do NOT benefit the local tax payers; it largely benefits a very few already wealthy folks by giving them free money. Give more local folks money to open a shop or buy a home. Is socialism for billionaires ok, but not for the working class?
There are no damn parks in Jacksonville.
Actually, Jacksonville has more parks than any city in the country.
@@RAconsciousness that's a complete lie.
@@Shootskas obviously you don't live in Jacksonville
Jacksonville Florida has, depending on who's counting, anywhere from 337 parks to 435. Of course everyone overlooks us, but Jacksonville is the largest city in the contiguous US, (according to some calculations 7 major cities can fit inside Jacksonville) so it stands to reason it has a large amount of parks.
@@marclucas9701They aren’t very good. This big town lacks vision. Look no further than the eye sore that use to be the landing. Or the 💩stain of Jacksonville Arlington expressway and everything else downtown.😢
