hey im new to motorcycle world and i was thinking about gettin license when im 16 rn im 14 and i was thinking about getting this yamaha but what does break-in mean?
@@reverseflash356 when you buy a new motorcycle, no matter what brand, no matter if its not even a motorcycle, its engine is brand new, and needs some time to adjust to your day to day life. So there is a period from the beginning of your engine’s life till a certain milestone set by your manufacturer so as to to prevent premature engine wear and some certain problems from arising in the near future of your engine’s life. Its nothing crazy but a major important part that should be taken into consideration before buying a new bike. Most new riders are quite afraid of this "break-in period” and so they get discouraged from buying a new motorcycle. But i believe its a way to bond and start learning about your new bike, slowly and after some time reach higher speeds
@@reverseflash356 not drive fast, but keep the engine at steady and relaxed rpms for the first about 1.000kms. For example some higher capacity motorcycles still have to break in their new engines. But with their relaxed rpm they still reach speeds of 150kms/h so this isnt a matter of speed but of engine rpms and engine load
@@reverseflash356 currently i am recruited in the army so its abit tough, but when im over with this sure, i have already planned new setups and mods for the motorcycle aswell
As the manual advices, from 0-500kms keep the revs under 5 thousand, from 500-1000kms keep the revs under 8k RPms. Drive through all the gears dont stay in one gear for long periods of time (aka downshifting when needed)and after 1.000kms you change its oils and oil filter. If you wanna be extra nitpicky about it after the break in its top speed is slowly gonna start increasing but dont overrev it. For example when i was on 1.600kms its top speed was 120 and after 600kms more it can reach 130+ and so forth. Basically just take it slow for the first 3.000kms and so
@@Cosmikator try not to grenade these engines from a bad break in because they are really built like a tank, after the break in you’ll see that it might lose some initial power but thats just your valves needing some tightening (if you need to break in an engine again they all usually need their valves tightened after the break in)
What do you mean by changing the look of the display screen? The YZFR125 2024 has a similar screen but a different font if thats what you mean. And also how could i know which year is faster i have only driven one😂
I have this bike and the gears are very easy. I don't need to use force to change gear. Is it the same for you? I didn't find any information in the manual that I need to use intergas when reducing.

It's a 125, dependant on weight and if you tuck you might be able to push it up. Idk if this model has back pegs, but if you put your feet on them and tuck yourself on a nice straight road you'll hit hire😂

If your used to 125cc go and get a 600cc... Get used to that for a year and then move up.

It has a slipper clutch, meaning the clutch is slipping (or feels lighter to use) while it changes its gears. Because its for beginner riders
