I'd tried Bicol Express a long time ago when I was a kid and didn't like it very much, so never had it again. However, after seeing how they liked it & also being 1/2 Bicolano, I should try it again. Maybe I'll like it better now as an adult 😊
As a Bicolana, so glad they liked Bicol Express! Cooked some for our Xmas party this year (I'm living in Australia), and my husband's nephew whose Australian absolutely loved it and now keeps asking for it 😊
Wow their palate is amazing... they eat more than my hubby. He can only eat adobo, lumpia and pansit. Well done you guys. Watching from Wales, UK... yup let them try tapsilog, losilog, etc❤
I'm Filipino and we just bite the BBQ off the stick. No Filipino would use the fork to remove the BBQ cause it would fly. 😊 But if you really need to, just use a knife and point the BBQ stick downwards into your plate then slide the🔪a long the stick.❤❤
Nothing wrong with dippinig the lumpiang shanghai in vinegar, but it's not its proper dip. It should be with sweet and sour sauce or sweet chili sauce dips.
Bulalo is indeed basic. The essence of it is the basicness of it. Not complicated flavor profile. You can eat so much without feeling greasy, bloated and guilty after getting full. Overeating of course is never good. This food makes you feel hydrated and feeling healthy eating all that veggie with the lean beef. I myself tend to eat it without rice. I just add more potato for the carbs
I usually recook the bicol express and add extra chili flakes or powder to make it extra spicy. Even leftovers are better since i'll just recook the bicol express when no one else wants it that spicy.
@@filmflipside we tr@uma bonding here, fam! LOL I would receive a sundot or a nag when I make mistakes like that, I wanna cry looking at the calmness LMAOO
Its onother version of bicol express the authentic bicol express is just green jalapeno pepper shreded cook in coconut milk and add bagoong for taste and thats it
It's hilarious that you gave them spoons but they're still using the fork to eat the rice, the wife is literally using the spoon to push the rice onto her fork hahaha
@@filmflipside well us fellow Filipinos knows what it is though, we eat with our hands, there is just something incredibly satisfying with it. Very often my wife has to catch and stop me from using my hands to eat, for me it just the natural order of things.
The right word or term for "Sinigang" regardless of the meat is called "STEW" not "SOUP". Because Soup is more on appetizer. While Stew are considered main dish/course. So the English term for Sinigang na Baka is "Beef Stew" then for Sinigang na Baboy, "Pork Stew". If the dish are filled with more water, that's Stew. If the dish is filled other liquid like water + milk, that would be a Soup.
@ the Chinese came to the Philippines as early as 9th Century as traders, they introduced Chinese food/delicacies to the Filipinos. One of them is Shanghai Lumpia .
bro good job, let them react to jong madaliday singing to stranger part 17 dude, i know its not related in food tasting but i want to watch how they will react to jong how he sing. ill wait for that @FilmFlipside
What should our Canadian Family have for dessert?
Give them kakanins!
mango float and halo halo
Mango float
Mango Float but if mango is not available, canned peach is another option
leche plan if you can find one. buko pandan.
Kudos to MOM, for using spoon.. though she used it to push the rice onto her fork. 😄😄
As a bicolana, any food that is cooked w coconut milk/as a ginataan(what we call it here) will always be delicious ❤
NEVER FORGET THE SILI HAHA!

As a Bicolana, so glad they liked Bicol Express! Cooked some for our Xmas party this year (I'm living in Australia), and my husband's nephew whose Australian absolutely loved it and now keeps asking for it 😊
Bicol Express is one of the Philippines' best dish if you ask me! I hope it gets recognized by the wider culinary community!
km
It seem they are not familiar eating bbq on stick and even with dipping sauce. Bulalo failed also in absence of fishsauce w/ calamansi or any citrus.
Huhu I feel bad for the nilagang baka ang sarap sarap nun huhu
They have different taste buds that's why 😂
Nah it's fine without the fish sauce, i bet they'll puke from the smell of it. Bulalo on it's own is good.
@@roanravena9288 Oo nga
if patis not allowed, just substitute it a lil bit of oyser sauce that will help…
Hi I'm from bicol region and thank you for including one of our favorite delicacies

Now I'm hungry😊
Nilaga with small amount of fish sauce and calamansi and with rice👍👍👍👍
kakanin=rice desserts , snacks.
Fun to watch
Eyyy, another upload
The mom (or maybe all of them 😂) is scooping the rice with fork and using the spoon to push the rice. So interesting 😂

No pork BBQ was hurt on this video
Some were hurt lolz

You forgot to serve the nilaga with patis & calamansi.
im die giggling in flying BBQ😂😂😂
When they used the forks as spoons and the spoons as forks 😆
bicol Express ftw! ❤
if you hear smoke go quicky is bqq hotdog isaw on the stick there sometime there meal them with rice
I'm looking forward on the other family who says they love Spicy food to try the "Real Bicol express"
For the Nilaga, it would have been nice if patis with lemon was provided. It adds a bit of acidity in the dish which makes it better in my opinion.
❤
Nora taking spicy food
Makes me hungry
❤❤❤
Its onother version of bicol express the authentic bicol express is just green jalapeno pepper shreded cook in coconut milk and add bagoong for taste and thats it
never heard or seen someone (before this episode) dipping Shanghai in vinegar! it's either sweet and sour sauce, sweet chilli sauce or just ketchup
lol.. that’s normal in the Philippines.. don’t know where u came from.. lol
@@jojoban6092 nah, its ketchup, sweet chilli or sweet and sour for Shanghai. Suka is for lumping gulay/lumpiang toge!
😊😊😊😊
Mama said copy and paste 👏🏻 👏🏻
Turon with langka and Leche flan with macapuno
you should rate the canadian dish as well to be fair in your next episode. The participants should be composed of Filipinos.
You know what. That’s not a bad idea at all !
teach them how to eat barbeque.please..😂😂
nice final fantasy sound
Canadian family tries (not try). Family is a collective noun and is considered singular, like a group or a team. 🙂
Is there lumpia? She is a psychic 😂
It's hilarious that you gave them spoons but they're still using the fork to eat the rice, the wife is literally using the spoon to push the rice onto her fork hahaha
I’m glad you noticed that I gave them spoons haha. When I saw them using the forks I kinda just let it happen lolz

All that meat flying, haha. That is why you just eat it from the stick haha
ha.. ha.. wrong way of eating barbecue😂😂😂
More more more
Funny thing is that......bicol express is germans favorite😅😂😁
That Nilagang Baka is good with rice
BBQ should have been enjoyed on the stick XD
longsilog for breakfast or tocilog po
Introduce them to patis to season their Nilagang Baka to taste

You should eat the pork bbq from the stick.

bulalo is copy verison nilaga and popular in tagaytay nilaga - pork bulalo - beef
Apaka hirap nilang tingnan kumain na tinidor lang😅.
Tas ang ingay ng plato 😂...
(Ngilo kaayo paminawon)
The spicy lumpia is called dynamite
Uh, no, they're two different dishes, though both are rolled in lumpia wrappers.
So, turon IS a lumpia?
i kinda like how causal is this youtube vid
2:54 Maybe Sopas is good choice rather than Bulalo. 😊
Try to watch jollibee commercial First date, Ldr and aniversarry
Based on their reaction, the Bicol Express needs more chili 😅
I want more lol 😂
😂hahaha good day
the clumsy Family XD
Guys you bite the bbq off the stick LMAO
😅❤
These kids are so clumsy.
They might have liked nilaga if you gave it with rice
Atleast the girl in black knows how to eat bbq. Don't use a fork. Eat it directly from the stick....
Let them try 1year old chick
See their reactions
😁😁😁
Is the dad single? Just kidding! They all look good, but the dad is very hot. Thanks for another amazing taste test!
Maarte la reng damulag ela kasi sane keng pamngan pinoy
Pete's beekeeping age
Why are they don’t know how to hold and use spoon and pork
Lumpia Shanghai is absolutely not originated in the Philippines, actually it’s a Chinese dish.
Lumpia Shanghai did not originate from Shanghai. But they have their own egg rolls.
@ the Chinese came to the Philippines as early as 9th Century as traders, they introduced Chinese food/delicacies to the Filipinos. One of them is Shanghai Lumpia .
Flying bbq
6:05 - 6:51 The humans evolved to this? Its so messy!!
Fork on the barbecue? Amazing... So elegant...
So poised
filipino food are always put an MSG if there's no MSG it is not tasty
It hurts me to see them use fork for rice, maybe next time you teach them to use spoon for rice 😂
Spoons for Canadians are only for soup and ice cream lolz
@ all I am saying is you can teach them the Filipino way of using spoon 😅🤣✌️
It seems that you guys don’t know how to use fork and spoon 🥄 hehehhe
