I’ve lived in the states for 27 years and this is the first time I’ve ever heard of Jollibee. I’ve just looked it up and the closest one to me is more than ten miles away and there’s one that hasn’t opened yet which leads me to believe that they’re new in the state where I live. I may take a drive out to one as the boys seem to really like the chicken and they do a large gravy and I love dipping fried chicken in gravy. My favourite thing to dip fried chicken in is mash spuds and gravy, yummy!!!
Here’s a Jolibee hack for you to try. Use the skin from the thigh as a wrap and fill it with pieces of chicken and mash potato’s. Then dip into the gravy.
Filipino here, the spaghetti isnt what you'd call "authentic pasta" at all. It's basically a sweet pasta made for kids, but as an adult I still like it because the sweetness goes well with a burger and fries (chips for you brits out there). McDonalds also has their own spaghetti in their menu here. Fun fact: Banana ketchup is really made from bananas. Vinegar is added to get the acidity. Food coloring is used to get the red color.
LUCKY blokes, there are plenty of Americans who have never even had Jollibee's yet, the only reason I'm familiar with them is because I lived in Cali before, so the Filipinos over there have ran Jollibee's first for decades in that part of the country!
Same! I've lived in 4 of the US states (ND, MN, CO, and HI), and have never heard of Jollibee's, either! I see that the closest Jollibee's location to me is..... 210 miles north in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
The level of love filipino have for josh and Ollie is the only reason you wont see any insulted pinoy in the comments 😅😅 but with the Italian kid, filipino grew up with banana ketchups... so yeah they exist..
Banana ketchup is a very Filipino thing. There is no tomato, but it’s often (but not always) dyed red. Supposedly developed around WWII when there was a tomato shortage in the Philippines.
I'm Filipino, and for reasons even I don't know (or more like don't remember) I disliked Jollibee for most of my childhood. I revisited it when I was around 17 or 18, ate Chickenjoy, and had my mind blown by what I had been missing for years.
Maybe the way it was cook was off. Once, I was served raw Chickenjoy and they gave me 1 free and my money back... too bad I can't eat since I was rush to the hospital. Other than that I love Jollibee.
Same! I never really liked Jollibee growing up, mainly because my parents preferred McDonalds so we'd go there instead. Now that I'm older, honestly there are just some days wherein you crave Chickenjoy and spaghetti and that brings absolute joy.
i too, wouldn't mind seeing this. though i'm an american who had a ranchless childhood lmao i do now eat ranch, but ONLY if it's the one from wingstop. that one i could probably just drink alone
@valarya places in uk will often give garlic dip with pizza, dominos, papa johns etc. Im guessing ranch is similar to garlic dip but idk im not american
Had Jollibee from Edinburgh for the first time in 2022. Never gone back to KFC since. Been to the Liverpool branch quite often now. Just something about their spicy chickenburger that just all the right things.
Banana ketchup.... it may be controversial but its a testament of filipino ingenuity in times of crisis and lack or resources. It was invented during the time when tomatoes were expensive in the country and our most abundant resource was bananas.
a ketchup is just a name for a certain style of condiments. it doesnt have to be tomato and never did lol. mushroom ketchup predates tomato ketchup. there are others even older. "although early recipes for various different varieties of ketchup contained mushrooms, oysters, mussels, egg whites, grapes, or walnuts"
[FILIPINO PRIDE INTENSIFIES] I grew up in San Diego and we had no Jollibee location in the late 90s. Los Angeles got one and my family would take road trips just to go there. It took around three hours but it was worth it for a piece of nostalgia (especially with my older sister who is from the Philippines). Where I live now (Michigan) got a Jollibee last year and I got to visit it twice. It's a three hour drive from where I live but it is so worth it. I can have my spaghetti and mango pie ❤
Seb, Frankie, Theo, and Lorenzo! I love seeing the OGs. Would love to see Max and Tyler again - they're hilarious! I approve of Freddie being added to the mix. He's great!
11:19 - Poor kid just suffered the worst fate if you're the type of person who hates certain 'consistencies' to foods. Got a friend like that, I don't blame him for his reaction at all lol
I'm the same way with some foods. Sometimes the texture can just really mess with me. Yogurt custard stuff like that is one of the ones that I can handle up to a certain point and then the tiniest amount further. It suddenly becomes the most disgusting thing humanly possible
It's very common in neurodivergent people (ADHD/autism in particular). To be honest, he seems left-handed and his comparisons make a lot of sense to me which typically happens when the person is neurodivergent
Last year while I was helping my friend/neighbor and her husband clean our her mother's house for renovation, I had them stop by Jollibees( we have 4 on the island of Oahu) after dropping off stuff at Goodwill. We ordered takeout to take home to her husband and sister; only I had ever eaten Jollibee. When they all tried it, everyone said it was better than KFC or Popeyes. Her husband fell in love with the spaghetti and peach/mango pie.
Makes sense with a substantial ethnic Filipino community. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, they’re located in places with a good deal of Filipinos, like Daly City, Vallejo, Concord, Union City, and Silicon Valley (Milpitas and San Jose).
Seb and Lorenzo are the new OGs. New favorite Jasiah. These kids are jewels. Please take them with you on an epic global trip.. before they become young men, which is any day now. They're really precious.
It's so wild how fast kids change at this age. I recognize some of these kids from older videos and went damn i didn't remember their voice being so deep or them being so tall haha
Literally bought 2 buckets yesterday on accident and gave one bucket to my brothers and kept the rest for myself lmaooo grew up in front of jollibee and live a few minutes away from one now that I moved from the Philippines and still happy I get to get some as an adult!
That poor kid at the end still trying the pie even though he knew he was going to hate it only to have a whole extra insult to injury with the custard 😢 dude I feel for you! I have tried many things and have also had that immediate, THIS NEEDS TO BE OUT OF MY MOUTH RIGHT NOW! reaction. Props to you for trying it anyway! Good man!
Just had to come on here to say Josh’s pronunciation of Ranch has gotten SO much better! I smiled when I heard it, he almost sounded American! Ollie not so much lol 😂 ❤ 2:45
@@squiffedallday not so much in the UK. Some supermarkets sell one or two brands but not much. And it's rarely on any menus in the UK, I've only seen it at awful cheap chain restrictions in UK

I have two acquaintances, a Filipino (M) and Italian (F) married couple. Their kids, who are now grown up, still prefer Filipino spaghetti and carbonara over Italian pasta dishes.
0:24 Congrats to Frankie for getting his braces taken off! I haven’t seen him featured in a Jolly video in a while which is probably a good thing because the last few videos of the School folks involved eating sweets and candies. Great smile Frankie to show off those teeth! 😁 Don’t let Jolly ruin them with too much candy! 😂
How can anyone not love ranch? Jollibees is awesome, American classics with a Asian flare. American teen boys would devour anything put in front of them, lol.
That Jollibee gravy is my favorite thing about Jollibee itself. I always buy extra, then pour it over the rice. And then it's food heaven time for me. 😆
For the students that might read comments the banana ketchup is a staple in Philippines kitchen because tomato hasn't been outside of the US and as the name suggest its ketchup made from banana
Yum burger is my favorite! Glad they also have it here in Malaysia when I moved here. Dont know if you have it in the Jollibee UK menu, but I also recommend Aloha burger!
The headmaster trying the Double Yum, with his 'token salad' comment, reminded me of the classic Jack in the Box commercial, "Why the bun? Bun is neither meat nor cheese."
Dave is a legend 😂 Those boys are so lucky having him as headmaster. ❤ My daughter went to Spain for her holiday last year and they had gluten free macdonalds burgers! She was so excited. Shame they don’t do them here. 🇬🇧
I’m Filipino-American and live in California. I’ve had Jollibee my entire life growing up and even to this day. I’ve tried Jollibee in the UK and it’s pretty good but I do think it’s definitely better here in the states. I think the chicken is juicier and the spaghetti has better flavor. Also, a little “hack” I like to do: rip the skin off a chicken thigh, put the spaghetti and maybe some rice in it, wrap it, and dip it or cover it in the gravy. Eat it like a taco and it’s so good.
Iirc in the US they have adobo rice and PANCIT palabok/fiesta noodles (not the egg noodles one that is far more popular, but imo the palabok is far more superior pancit) Idk tho if they sell the lumpia in the US but in the Phils they do.
Really hope we see this new group of lads take a trip to Korea. These kids have just as much personality as Arman and the last group. Thx for another great video JOLLY and crew!!
Yeah, we don't really put spaghetti on top of the chicken. But what most people do is take a bite of spaghetti then follow up with a bite of chicken or vice-versa which I think is pretty similar since you will be munching those 2 together inside your mouth anyway.
Hi Guys, For context, Banana ketchup was developed by a Filipina who went to school in the US and developed it when she returned in response to American soldier occupation/colonizing efforts in the early 1900s and the lack of availability of ketchup/tomato sauce. In the PI it was common for Birthdays to be celebrated with Fried Chicken and Spaghetti meant to be eaten side by side. Spaghetti or noodles are eaten for long life. The Sweetness is influenced by the Chinese culinary integration.
i don't remember the last time i was this early.... i love jollibee and i love these kids' reactions too, i can already tell i'm going to enjoy this one
No such thing as a “chicken burger,” it’s just a chicken sandwich even if it is on a bun. This drives me up the wall every time they try chicken sandwiches of any type.
USA here, and I have never heard of Jollibee. Just looked it up, and my closest one is 110 miles away. I watch JOLLY for the intelligent and funny comments from the students. Mr. Smith is always a hoot. Get him to the USA for some Cajun food.

Ever since i watch Josh and Ollie try Jollibee,i already hope they will make the highschoolers try it and today it was exactly happened and im happy for it
It's the UK.....it's chicken burger. A chicken sandwich here is say chicken between two slices of bread, say with salad and mayo. Not the whole world is like the US

I haven't had it, but from descriptions and videos it seems like Chef Boyardee or hot dogs and spaghetti that Americans would feed their kids.
Love seeing the students again. Their reactions are the best.
LUCKY blokes, there are plenty of Americans who have never even had Jollibee's yet, the only reason I'm familiar with them is because I lived in Cali before, so the Filipinos over there have ran Jollibee's first for decades in that part of the country!
I'm from the Midwest and never even heard of it, lol.
@@maddisonbythesea3015 There's not a ton of Asians there like Cali, that's why.
Same! I've lived in 4 of the US states (ND, MN, CO, and HI), and have never heard of Jollibee's, either! I see that the closest Jollibee's location to me is..... 210 miles north in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
I learned about it from one of Anthony Bourdain's travel videos. And then found a Jolliebee within 75 miles of me. It's pretty good.
@@JillWhitcomb1966 Hawaii does have a Jollibee, though.
The level of love filipino have for josh and Ollie is the only reason you wont see any insulted pinoy in the comments 😅😅 but with the Italian kid, filipino grew up with banana ketchups... so yeah they exist..
Joke's on the kid. That same Spaghetti is now being sold in Milan. 😂
Jollibee is a Filipino National treasure!
Maybe the way it was cook was off.
Once, I was served raw Chickenjoy and they gave me 1 free and my money back... too bad I can't eat since I was rush to the hospital. Other than that I love Jollibee.
Depends on the branch cook 😅
Same! I never really liked Jollibee growing up, mainly because my parents preferred McDonalds so we'd go there instead. Now that I'm older, honestly there are just some days wherein you crave Chickenjoy and spaghetti and that brings absolute joy.
You now need an episode where they try different things dipped in ranch
-an american who cannot fathom a ranchless childhood
That was blowing me away! I had no idea ranch was only an American thing. imagine pizza without ranch
i too, wouldn't mind seeing this.
though i'm an american who had a ranchless childhood lmao
i do now eat ranch, but ONLY if it's the one from wingstop. that one i could probably just drink alone
@valarya places in uk will often give garlic dip with pizza, dominos, papa johns etc. Im guessing ranch is similar to garlic dip but idk im not american
I was shocked when I ordered pizza when I was in the US and they gave me a dressing @@valarya 😂😂😂
Don't sweat it, I'm an American who can't fathom the obsession with ranch in this country lol I mean, I like ranch OK, but my god do we love ranch :D
I love these kids, and the headmaster is hilarious. Good job UK with these school kids.
From a Filipino to Mr Smith I love the way you drink the gravy it's so filipino way and thank you Josh and Ollie for making another Jollibee content.
I love your channels, it's fun to watch these kids try new things. Lorenzo's voice is changing!
I noticed that as well😅
Indeed!
I think he’s the pickiest eater on here.
Same with Theo’s, they both got deeper.💯
@louilelee9978 very interesting!
Charming in their honesty.
"Token salad". BWAHAHAHA
[FILIPINO PRIDE INTENSIFIES]
I grew up in San Diego and we had no Jollibee location in the late 90s.
I love these series, their honest opinions are great. Never influenced by their friend next to them 😂
Miss these reactions. Love them, they are so much fun.
I like these kids. They make me laugh & they're so polite
I do. Wasteful child. Would not survive poverty.
It's very common in neurodivergent people (ADHD/autism in particular). To be honest, he seems left-handed and his comparisons make a lot of sense to me which typically happens when the person is neurodivergent
Ya'll filming these kids are my favorite videos! Their honest reactions and reviews are the best! ❤🤣
British High Schoolers in America next??? That would be so fun to see them in the South!
I feel their love for Jolibee food since they opened some in Virginia recently and I am a big fan.
I recognize some of these kids from older videos and went damn i didn't remember their voice being so deep or them being so tall haha
fully believe mr smith only lets em do this cause they give him food too
Me, a filipina, wearing a jollibee hoodie right now: 🥰
Ive been waiting for this and the wait was worth! Love the vids
Good man!
@2:50 Mind blowing moment as a Midwesterner hearing multiple people say they've never had ranch...
Because they don’t have ranch overseas..
No one outside of America eats ranch. Americans live in their own little bubble
We don't eat diabetes inducing garbage
I just love watching the headmaster. It tickles me how much he enjoys all the food 😂
Just had to come on here to say Josh’s pronunciation of Ranch has gotten SO much better! I smiled when I heard it, he almost sounded American! Ollie not so much lol 😂 ❤ 2:45
I'm literally floored that ranch dressing is such an unusual thing for these British kids to have ever tried
Why? People outside of the US eat different things.
@@nico_penbecause ranch has gained popularity all over the world
In Europe, some people don't even call it ranch, it's called American dressing. Honestly I don't understand the love for it, I find it bland.
The only fastfood chain that has ranch here in the Philippines is Popeyes
@@squiffedallday not so much in the UK. Some supermarkets sell one or two brands but not much. And it's rarely on any menus in the UK, I've only seen it at awful cheap chain restrictions in UK
Ollie went back to Britain as a trucker from Texas with the Buc-ee's hat and T-shirt. I wonder if he's wearing a big silver belt buckle? Yeee-haw! 🤠😂 High praise from Lorenzo? M'kay, it's not actually disgusting. 🤣
I have two acquaintances, a Filipino (M) and Italian (F) married couple. Their kids, who are now grown up, still prefer Filipino spaghetti and carbonara over Italian pasta dishes.
JOLLIBEE MENTIONED RAHHHHH 🦅🦅🦅🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

I love watching these students growing up over the years! Great stuff!
I love when you go to the school. So nice to see Mr. Smith and the young men.
The teacher or principle what ever he is, is just the best. He literally makes the videos
he finally said "ranch" correctly, praise beeeeeeeee XD i really thought it would've stuck after keith corrected josh but i guess it took a minute LOL
didn’t expect to see jollibee in the channel again! the yum burger is the best fast food burger for me and peach mango pie is heavenly!!
Oh try it with the sundae or vanilla ice cream! Its the best combo!
@ i agree! i usually eat peach mango pie with sundae! 🥰
"It's not actually disgusting". That needs to go on the advert. :)
7:37 Josh making that joke is a peak dad move 😂
Was Lorenzo the one in a previous video said something looked like cut up ferret? 😂😂love these kids
Yes, the biscuits and gravy.
“Tastes like a chicken burger you’d have on holiday?”
“Airport…Airport.”
😂
THE GRAVY 🤤
You just ain't eating the good stuff if you're not eating Jollibee Gravy on rice
Glad the English subtitle is back. Really appreciate it, thanks guys.
I love it when they have the High School students eat the different foods!!! I could watch for hours!!!
That crunch from the chicken and the peach mango pie is definitely an ad in itself.
For the students that might read comments the banana ketchup is a staple in Philippines kitchen because tomato hasn't been outside of the US and as the name suggest its ketchup made from banana
My wife didn't like ranch when she first came to America, but it grows on you, especially with fries and wings
Blue cheese salad dressing is better.
My daughter went to Spain for her holiday last year and they had gluten free macdonalds burgers! She was so excited. Shame they don’t do them here. 🇬🇧
Theo and Lorenzo....the new Max And Armand.... you should get the 4 of them together
Love how we progressed to ranch from RONCH iykyk
We'll forever call it Rarnch 😂
I’m Filipino-American and live in California. I’ve had Jollibee my entire life growing up and even to this day. I’ve tried Jollibee in the UK and it’s pretty good but I do think it’s definitely better here in the states. I think the chicken is juicier and the spaghetti has better flavor. Also, a little “hack” I like to do: rip the skin off a chicken thigh, put the spaghetti and maybe some rice in it, wrap it, and dip it or cover it in the gravy. Eat it like a taco and it’s so good.
I love Filipino food, but I've never had Jollibee's before. If they have chicken adobo, pancit, and lumpia, I'll be there today.
Iirc in the US they have adobo rice and PANCIT palabok/fiesta noodles (not the egg noodles one that is far more popular, but imo the palabok is far more superior pancit)
Idk tho if they sell the lumpia in the US but in the Phils they do.
Really hope we see this new group of lads take a trip to Korea. These kids have just as much personality as Arman and the last group. Thx for another great video JOLLY and crew!!
5:41 Filipino here. No, we don't do that. I literally exclaimed "What?!" when Josh suggested putting Jolly Spaghetti on Chickenjoy 😆
Yeah, we don't really put spaghetti on top of the chicken. But what most people do is take a bite of spaghetti then follow up with a bite of chicken or vice-versa which I think is pretty similar since you will be munching those 2 together inside your mouth anyway.
Uhh. We do!!
@@Yzhiah I'm in the Philippines and have been in multiple Jolibee locations and not ONE did I see someone do this.
@ fair enough
@@Yzhiah I'm Filipino and I don't do that, it's very weird to hear Josh say that.
Hi Guys,
For context, Banana ketchup was developed by a Filipina who went to school in the US and developed it when she returned in response to American soldier occupation/colonizing efforts in the early 1900s and the lack of availability of ketchup/tomato sauce.
11:47 That kid on the left, you can tell he has a “texture thing” when it comes to foods. Poor guy!
He called it gross yet kept chewing on it before he spit it out 🤣
Bring Mr.Smith to the US episode please! He's lovely 🥰
This reminds me a lot of the "x reacts to" series, except this one here feels human and natural. Was a lot of fun to watch
give these kiddos a plate and some napkins lmao....love the videos!
I like the way Seb just gazes lovingly at the double yumburger both before and after he bites into it. You can feel his affection for cheeseburger.
Napkins! Please. I'm begging you. Every episode I'm thinking do they not include napkins when you purchase take out food?
These first time food reaction videos are always my favorite cause food is always the best way to learn and share other cultures. I can only assume more fun facts and food history is shared with the boys that just didn't make the final edit.
Definitely don't sleep on filipino food!
These guy make my day honestly ❤
Ever since i watch Josh and Ollie try Jollibee,i already hope they will make the highschoolers try it and today it was exactly happened and im happy for it

They're actually called Jollybie when Josh's wife Gabie is with them
@@rovidelarosaAhh the good ol' days, might have to rewatch that one.
It's a secret sauce catered mostly to kids. The chicken is really crispy and juicy at the same time. The spag is an acquired taste for foreigners.
there is such a massive difference between a "chicken burger" and a crispy chicken sandwich its crazy to hear you call it that
UK definition is of almost anything inside of a hamburger style bun. American definition is of something ground up and formed into a patty.
ASMR boy is the prettiest kid I've ever seen :) Those lovely eyes and calm voice... I can see he's a good kid.
Theo, Seb, Frankie, and Lorenzo deserve a trip to Korea!
That’s been done, they should take them to the US seeing how that’s what they have been giving them to try.
I totally feel the Guy Who Was talking about “holiday burger” and “AirPort burger” 🤣
A burger is beef or at least a ground up meat, a chicken sandwich is a sandwich, regardless of the bun , not a burger
It's the UK.....it's chicken burger. A chicken sandwich here is say chicken between two slices of bread, say with salad and mayo. Not the whole world is like the US
@@nico_pen It's not a pattie, so it would make sense to call it a sandwich instead of a burger.
@@handlenot030 why? It's nowt like a sandwich, and we invented the sandwich...I only live a few miles from sandwich! Just accept the world doesn't revolve around the US. It's a chicken burger.
