The Batman | Piano

Two notes. Just two notes, Bb & Gb, is all Michael Giacchino needed to capture the essence of Batman in what is, in my opinion, the best theme of the superhero yet.
Besides the beautiful orchestral section in the middle, the entire outro is what caught my attention while watching the film. The anticipation, tension and anxiety those 2 notes create is otherworldly. The fact that they're placed a major interval apart is even more baffling.
It's hard to anticipate where the music will go. You just sit there waiting while they repeat over and over...kind of like the opening scene where the criminals see the bat signal in the sky in absolute terror and then turn around looking through the shadows to find...that there's no one there.
