Your co-star did a great job! I am reserving you for next fall - Conner can earn his whittling chip and you would be a great teacher! And you are correct - Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts teach safe knife handoff AND good manners at the same time with "Thank you" and "You're Welcome"!! Don't forget the inevitable "Tool not toy" speech, along with "No throwing", "No carving trees" and my biggest pet peeve - sticking the blade in the ground!!!!
yes dana i teach boy scouts not to carve trees and not to stab the ground and tool not toy is something that comes up alot but even in my adult classes the trowing knife subject has to come up more than once
Good job with the safety overview. Knives and firearms are both incredibly useful tools, but when negligently misused, can be extremely dangerous. Like you said, out in the woods, being forgetful and/or sloppy can really cost you.
This is a very good video, alot of great tips and what not to do. I chuckled . That look you gave and great comment. WHaaaat LOL . Loved the video man.
G'day Will, Great video. Using humour to make your point is a good thing. It helps people remember the message. What?? In different parts of the world 'humping' and 'lumping' are common slang terms for carrying a burden. The British Royal Marines and sections of the Army call long distance marching with their packs 'yomping'. I have no idea what the origins of that word is but it sounds 'foreign'.
Great Vid Conner, Oh Yea! You too Will. Thanks guy's anything to remind us about safety is useful. Conner maybe you should do some vid's for other kids.
So the one thing that's not apart of the 10 C's.. Common sense! I'd also not suggest waving your blade around too...in case someone walks up behind you and didn't say "behind you" or something. Great video bro.. thanks! LOL Humping..
I really like you and your approach to outdoor instruction, BUT PLEASE, listen to this, there is no reason that you should allow your son to choose that hairstyle...at his age...sorry bro....
Great often overlooked information. Good stuff Thanks for sharing.

Good Pointers Man! Hey keep an eye on Chris for me. Don't let him get stressed out on anything. Thanks! Peace Man.
lol ok
Better than handing over a knife, set it down first and allow the other person to pick it up themselves.
good thinking there bro dont know if that would work so good in the field but in a indoor situation it would be great
