I got the same model tractor in roughly the same condition. Spent around 600 in total getting it back to right. New tires, blades, idlers, fuel lines, ignition coils, battery, fuel pump, led headlight bulbs, new seat, and belts. Great tractor, well worth the money and time it took vs buying an overpriced new one.❤ Pulled the engine cover off and found a giant mouse nest on the block. Don’t run it that way or you’ll overheat that cylinder and trash the v twin.
Congratulations on getting that tractor running and cutting! Still a lot of work to get it 100%, but at least it’s got potential. Just flipped my first free tractor a couple days ago and went through a lot of what you did and learned plenty on the way. 👍🔧
I replaced all 3 blades and the throttle/choke lever assembly for another $60 and this thing mows absolutely mint now. It may be a lot of work, but for around $100 you can have a mower worth at least $500 easy. It’s fun haha
@@GormanRepairs Were those two vertical rods on the hood mirror mounts? After backing up a tractor multiple times I decided that’s what it needs the most. I was thinking about mounting on the rear of the hood but a friend suggested the front, which makes more sense, now that I think about it.

@@GormanRepairs Agreed! I flipped that White Outdoor LT542H for $650 with maybe $100 in parts, most of which came off other curb finds/freebies.

I have no clue what they were for, I’m going to take them off actually haha
where is the poodle?
Mouse piss thats the smell. Little buggers were making a home in it.
Oh I know it well, but man this was a bad case of it!
Get engine running and pull it, then part rest out
Then find a good body for the engine 😊😊😊
I bet that thing was never greased or anything
Why leave these out in the weather like that
Shouldn't start the mower deck at full throttle. About half & ease into it.
