It might not be a chateau, but this house aka English Lodge, is closer to what we all live in, so a lot of what you are doing can be duplicated in our own homes for our very own "chateau " look. So excited to see all of your ideas come to fruition.
The walls look amazing with the green paint! Such a great choice, Carol! I adore the new wallpaper, too. The wall sconces and the chandelier look lovely in the dining room. Adrian, I think you suit your Santa hat, and you should wear it year round! Adrian, you know us sneaky women so well with our shopping and tree hunting techniques. You found a great one thanks to Beth and Carol’s tree savvy! It looks gorgeous all decked out in its Christmas baubles! ❤️❄️🎄☃️
I love the dining room color! All dressed up with the chateau sconces and chandelier, beautiful! And just in time for Christmas ❤️ You picked the right tree, too 😉 Just beautiful!
I like the colour of the dinning room but I would put the curtain rods higher ,it would not be Carole with out a chandelier and sconces which are lovely, Merry Christmas to all take care and see you next time 💕🌼🤗
I agree the rods need to be higher. Shutters would be better because drapes are too heavy for the tiny window. Lovely room with the paint looking like suede.
Yes Carol, the paint color is rich. Looks gorgeous with the chandelier and wall lights. The dining room will be a joy to eat in. Love you all . Merry Christmas from Hiram GA USA♥️🎄
Love the green colour & I believe that you later on intend to either replace or repaint the brown furniture? Some version of soft off white paint 🎨 would work wonderfully well on that table ❤
I have only seen Lincrusta installed in a hallway myself interesting to see it in a dining room. I am guessing you are using it on the lower half of the walls. The lighting is lovely :) wood shutters would be nice or some brocade curtains. I think the wall colour is nice.
You two are the hardest working people I know! The room will be gorgeous when you are finished, and I hope that is in time for Christmas dinner! Happy Christmas from the Southern US to you and yours.
I used the same type of wallpaper in an attic bathroom. Everyone said it would fall because of the slanted roofline. I used a clay based glue, & gave it 10 minutes to book. Worked perfectly for 20+ years!
The only time my mum ever paid a painter was to hang this stuff! 😂 She said it was worth every penny. I like a darker coloured dining room it makes it more intimate and with electricity we can always switch a light on to make it brighter. 😉 Loving the green. I love a real tree but we haven’t had one since beetlegait!
You have pretty tree ornaments Just a suggestion… Carole was right in the first place, The tree could do with a hair cut to shape it. Cut half of that spindly top and nip off a bit of the sides that stick out. (Adrian sure did a fine job of carrying the tree and setting it up nice and straight.) I am thinking the Laser help with the wallpaper if you did need to cut any off the sides ?? The Lincrusta wallpaper was used by the original owner of Gwen and Billy Petherick’s Chateau Dining room. It is pretty, and durable and heavy and pricey indeed. That wallpaper will brighten up the room. Get a good rest before you start tackling that. The sconces are pretty. Adrian is so good at rewiring lights. I like the Santa hat. I see someone made a good suggestion to raise the curtain rod. What are you planning to eat for Christmas for your main meat ?
@@reladie I love all kinds of birds to eat. Ducks, chickens, little Cornish game hen, pheasant, quail, all quite delicious. I think I even tried Ostrich. However the day I tried Goose was Not a good day for me. Hahaaa it was horrible to eat. I now know why they are called fowl . I sure am glad someone likes to eat the Goose. 🤭
Love the green. You need a palmet to fill the space between the top of the window and the crown molding. Than floor length curtains in a light cream color.
PG Tips The green room looking good going to look 👀 even better when finished . Adrian making me laugh women and shopping 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍spot on !!! The Xmas tree looks lovely progress 👏👏👏👏👏🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Beautiful tree! I have to use an artificial one since I am allergic to the real ones. but my artificial one was broken when pulled it out of storage, so no tree this year. Will buy a really nice one after xmas when they are on sale.
Love the colour of the paint. Nice to see you pick a tree. Decorated tree beautiful what else would Carol have but beauty that twinkles . Thanks for video from a sunny summer day in Australia.
The dining room looks amazing so far. I've always preferred curtains over blinds as they are easier to clean, wash them, hang back up wet then steam them if needed. They do make some really nice blinds these days though so you might have something in mind I haven't considered? The Christmas tree is beautiful and I loved watching Beth skip down the path to find "The Tree"! I almost expected Adrian to pull a battery out of his pocket at the tree farm ROFL. Welcome to the PJ club Adrian! What did you do to your head? Stitches? Next year we will have to get you a Santa Hard Hat 😜
I’m so happy you did all four walls. The room looks so much better with your changes. Yay, no more birds in the dining room!!! Pretty tree. Merry Christmas!!!! ❤
I definitely have an unrelated question to ask . Do you know why in France, the butchers do not remove the feet off the eating birds ?? Like the Turkeys or the Ducks ?? I was culture shocked to see the cooked birds brought to the Dining table and they still had their feet on !! In America they are removed . We don’t like the idea of diner, Making a dash 😂 for it. I suppose.
I thought for sure you would have decorated the Christmas tree with all the loose crystals from the chandeliers. 😂. In watching you and Terry looking at every chandelier I collected loose pieces and decorated a small white tree with them and it looks stunning with the lights hitting all the sparkling crystals. ❤ the dining room color!!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I like the color of the dining room and especially the chandelier and sconces, all very beautiful.
Thank you Toni 😊

I do not have an opinion on your wall colour because you are a decorator and I am not, but I will say that green is my favorite colour.
It does look good in here!

Tempting 😂😂
Why are all the trees so sparse on top? Nothing against the one you choose, but American trees have limbs all the way to the top.
No idea but they are all the same!
No no no i don't like the colour of the walls
Each to their own 😊
