I think what I love the most about your home is the lack of arrogance and opulence, I love your down to earth décor, is tasteful, French, classic and homey , I just adore it.
I'm watching in NC in the USA. I wanted to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas! I also wanted to say that while I watch a number of very beautiful chateau channels with some really nice people that yours is by far the most comfortable and liveable one! It's elegant and warm and just nice! Anyone would feel very welcome there!
Agree wholeheartedly. I'm in NC, too. There's just something fun and refreshing about Amanda and Lincoln. While they work hard, they don't take themselves too seriously. It's just one big, slightly messy, always humorous adventure to/for them. Love it!
Dearest Amanda, it always makes my day to watch one of your vlogs and see the antics of Lincoln and the kitties! Beautiful, beautiful home and decor. I wish you and Lincoln and the girls a wonderful cozy Christmas. Congrats on hitting 50,000, you will be at 100,000 in no time! Hands-down, you are my favorite vlog out there.
I can’t say enough good things about your videos, this one was especially warm and luxurious. Every frame of the video exudes warmth and luxury. The quality of your videos gets better at every upload, I even love the humor and wit you two put into your ads as well. You have a wonderfully understated design esthetic which I really appreciate and love. I would love to see more of your cookery mastery as well. Please consider adding more culinary content as well. Even seeing you wander thru the local grocers and markets there with your narratives is great content. Having a Chef’s insights into the local ingredients is a great way to see what’s available and what you make of it. So sorry about the fir being felled by the storm but it gave you a cornucopia of bounty to use around the house for warmth and decoration. We wish you a warm and glorious Christmas and a successful New Year and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish with the out buildings in 2025! Cheers!!
Last year I cut 24" x 8" strips of cardboard and wrapped each ser of lights around one. Such a lifesaver this year. Not tangled and easier to store. I am sure many people know this trick, but it was new to me.
Great idea. I only have one set of lights but I wrap them round the cardboard tube from a paper (kitchen) towel roll. Works a treat & there is a lot less bad language as a result!!
Your wreath turned out great. I bet if you made a bunch of those you guys can sell them. Start a new trend. Love your home, and the cats are always so fun to watch.
Clearly your fallen tree was a nativity gift miracle to make as many wreaths, candle arrangements, etc. Probably saw you pushing the tree out the window last year and was volunteering to go into the window this year. Lincoln is such a patient man! This is extreme holding up under pressure!
So terrible about the storm causing the tree to fall. It was a very tall tree. I would take a guess close to 100 years old. The ornaments look so festive and unique. You and Lincoln really scored with your haul from flea market. Your trees and wreaths are beautiful. The drone footage is spectacular.
How lovely to see your French Christmas style. Everything you do has such elegance and substance. Please continue!! Happy Christmas to you and all the heartbeats in your home.
‘The French seem slightly more understated I guess 🤷♀‘ , - EVERYONE is more understated! 😂 It’s a good job we love our cousins across the pond 🥰 your videos are getting better and better
We have an issue with large pines./firs toppling over when the ground is wet and there are high winds. The root system is quite shallow and unable to hold the tree upright in those conditions. We live in Wisconsin and used to have large forested areas that were logged off over a hundred years ago. I just put up my tree this year for the first time since we adopted our two kitties several years ago. So far so good. One year we had a cat that removed every ornament from our tree, including the tree topper. I took a picture of her nestled in the tree and made it our Christmas card the following year with “Meowy Christmas “ as the greeting.
I have a Pickle kitty 😺 too . His name is Melosh , the destroyer of purses, shoes, you name it he has destroyed it ! Love him ❤ regardless of his destruction of my things
When you take your lights off at the end of the season, wrap them around a flat piece of 8x10 cardboard. Take this from someone who spent every year de tangling lights until I finally saw this recommendation.
You have great taste. Your home is coming together beautifully with all the love and attention both you and Lincoln are giving it. Merry Christmas!🎄 💚❤️
What a beautiful home to decorate and you have done so, so eloquently. It all looks just lovely. Sorry you've lost another tree. Wind is not the friend of most pines. Sadly. We have several large white pine and I watch them sway in the wind sometimes while holding my breath. Pickle would be my kind of cat. I love the mischievous ones. Oh hell...who am I trying to fool, I love them all! Thought of you both a couple weeks ago as we rescued a mama and her 4 kittens from a dumpster. Mama with a severely broken leg. We just had her spayed, dewormed and vaccinated and her leg amputated and she is healing nicely. We also had the little boy neutered, dewormed and vaccinated so now he can't make any kittens and his 2 female siblings are slated for Feb. Which is the earliest we could get them in. Believe it or not. Regardless, I hope you and your family and all the animals are doing well today!!
I love your humor. I’m so glad that Lincoln always plays along as being like today unscrupulous data broker. He’s so shifty looking he has to wear a black jacket to cover his shifty ness.😂 I’m so sorry to see your Nordmann fir came down in the storm. Thank you for all your hard work on this videos and for the drone views. The view of the trees of your château are beautiful. Take care be safe enjoy your family and your holiday.❤
Have you found Christmas carols from Kings College - I think - Cambridge yet? One of the colleges anyway. There are other abbey and cathedral choirs too. 'Once in Royal Davids City' by an angelic choirboy definitely puts you in festive mode.
It looks damp and cold this year. I recall last year it was snowing when you brought in your Christmas tree. I'm glad that 80-foot tree didn't take down a power line. Take some time to chillax and Merry Christmas, guys 🎄
I love the lights y’all have in France because they have so many lights close together. Your opening for this video was exquisite and all of your drone shots amazing! Visually, this is one of your best. Kudos!
Love your decorations. Nature, you can never go wrong with that look. I used to be so picky in what would go on the tree. But living with my kids, it’s now a mixture of both households, it doesn’t really matter!!
An idea: wrap the string of lights in tubes of leftover tissue paper or plastic wrapper and THEN coil the string: the small investment upfront would save more than 3 hours for Lincoln next year 😊
Beautiful drone footage. Great start to a great video. Love the wreath. It looks great and I think Pickle agrees. Your decorations are just flawless! Like something out of a magazine. Happy to hear the fallen tree may be turned into beams and live a new life. Great haul at the flea market! 4 hours unstringing lights is a herculean effort on Lincoln's part! Though the cats tried to lend a paw. What an idyllic life you lead! Thanks for a great video.
Thank you for taking me/us along shopping, that brocante was amazing! Storm Darragh caused an hour without electricity here in my home in the Southwest of Ireland, it was quite a wind!
pickle is a character, and he wants that wreathe! Beautiful tree that came down. Lovely Christmas trees and decorations. Good luck with the dresser.🤗🇺🇸💖🎁
A trip to the brocante where you bought just what you needed and which you will actually use - another chateau owner should take note! Love your sense of style and you can never have too many fairy lights!
I roll my Christmas lights up into a ball (like you wind a skein of yarn) as I take them off the tree. They stay untangled and are easy to unwind onto the tree, garland, etc. the next year. And easy to store. Though that strand you have may end up the size of a beach ball, lol! Merry Christmas, y'all! Cheers from North Carolina
Amanda can you make a video of items you shipped to France that you thought you needed and items that you left behind that you wish you would have shipped? You what I mean. 😂😂😂
Happy for you that the damage wasn't as devastating as it has been in the Northeast in the states. I think that's going to be my new new go-to comment. "Can you prop it up" Very funny
I love all your decor - regardless of what time of year. Simple, understated and elegant. I make my wreaths the same way, but usually use florist wire to wrap. Yours is beautiful.
I would like to point out tgat people usually find trees outside and cut them down and shove them IN the window as opposed to the other way. Unusual approach!😗
🎄🐈⬛. Seems like BLACK CATS are always the naughtiest and most curious! Mine is usually hiding out on top of an armoire or gets locked in a closet❗️Your Christmas trees are lovely. Maybe come up with a clever way to store your lights for next year..There are even reels made for just that purpose. MERRY CHRISTMAS🎄🎄🎄
Love your wreath and video. A FUNNY----Two cats in a bar named "Tiger's" --- Cat No 1 (Pickle says to the bartender cat WAFFLE) "So they bring a tree into the house and put all these shiny, dangling things on it, then freak out if I go near it....THAT IS WHY I DRINK."
Amada, never stop being real. It is refreshing to watch a video where the lights didn't get hung perfectly but left on the ground. That's me. Your home is wonderful and beautiful and so natural. Thanks for your vlogs. I always look forward to them.
You both are amazing, all that you accomplish simply outstanding. Also love when you go into town. Your animals are so blessed to have you. Love the videos ❤
Looks like God gave you a Christmas tree outside in your own park. At the least you have lots of holiday greens. A huge piece of cardboard is the way to keep the Christmas lights so they don't tangle, and the cardboard is usually free. Your outdoor decos for the door are simple yet just enough, and the interior looks plenty festive. Enjoy.
The lights on the ground will be gorgeous shining through any snow that falls. Leave them right there until you don’t want to. Everything is just right inside, with a heart-stopping wreath!!
I love the natural tones used for your Christmas decor - the most I added as color this year was red berries. I always enjoy your videos and choice of music.
Poor Lincoln and those lights. I think we have the same. When they first arrived last year it took me 4 hrs to unravel them. I wound them around cardboard to make life easier. 2 hrs and a lot of teeth gnashing later I told DH not to leave me alone with lights near a pair of scissors.ggggrrrf. We have ordered a cable holder on a stand like brico trucs. I hope 15 euros will save my sanity for next year. Your wreath is lovely Amanda. The journey doesn’t matter when the result is so good! Great bargains at Emmaus🩷👏👏🥳🥳🫶
I think what I love the most about your home is the lack of arrogance and opulence, I love your down to earth décor, is tasteful, French, classic and homey , I just adore it.
You two are so delightful! I so appreciate your senses of humor, love for animals, hard work and excellent taste.
At least the unscrupulous data broker wasn't carrying a baguette!
😂
He was probably looking for one! 😂
Many years ago in MO I made wreaths from evergreen clippings. So much fun and smelled wonderful❤
I like the man in the window, Lincon is such a good sport made me chuckle a little lol .🤣😂🤣😂
Christmas decorations in France are usually more subdued and tastefully elegant

Everything is really beautiful Amanda and Lincoln-🎄🎄🎄

Mine, too - I always watch them twice! ❤

😊
Totally agree with the cooking … simple dishes with fresh ingredients .. loved the soup and dressing. Your home is so cozy … just like the 2 of you!
This makes me happy. Merci. Grazie, mille.
I love your style of decorating for christmas. Your home is beautiful and cozy. 😊
Love your trees! They add a lot of warmth to your rooms. Your place is so beautiful, warm and inviting, and I love the crackling fire
Last year I cut 24" x 8" strips of cardboard and wrapped each ser of lights around one. Such a lifesaver this year. Not tangled and easier to store. I am sure many people know this trick, but it was new to me.

Joyeux Noël. Your château is so beautiful.

I love that mixing bowl. Your decoration are so tasteful & beautiful.
Clearly your fallen tree was a nativity gift miracle to make as many wreaths, candle arrangements, etc. Probably saw you pushing the tree out the window last year and was volunteering to go into the window this year. Lincoln is such a patient man! This is extreme holding up under pressure!
Lincoln is VERY patient. I wish I could be more like him.
😂😂
Oh my gosh you make me laugh heartedly 🙃🤣🙂‼️
Your château is one of my favorites. What youve done with it is beautiful. I love how you show what life is like there.
Ooooh Lincoln is so scary lurking outside the window. Well, I guess he WOULD be scary if we didn't know it was him.
Sorry, no wreathing advice, yours is special, in a good way. Wow you all get some bad storms. Glad you all are safe.
So terrible about the storm causing the tree to fall. It was a very tall tree. I would take a guess close to 100 years old. The ornaments look so festive and unique. You and Lincoln really scored with your haul from flea market. Your trees and wreaths are beautiful. The drone footage is spectacular.
I usually skip through the paid promotions but, y’all make yours so funny, I watch for the entertainment. Merry Christmas 🤶🏻
Lincoln looked like the "Gordon Fisherman " in his yellow rain jacket 😂
🤣
When putting away the lights, my dad used to wind them around a largish piece of cardboard. Never had a tangle.
Your ads are wonderful!! Love them!
Pickle isn’t bad, he’s “The Investigator”, or as I call mine, “The Chief Inspector”
My Raven is the same 😹😹😹😹😹
How lovely to see your French Christmas style. Everything you do has such elegance and substance. Please continue!! Happy Christmas to you and all the heartbeats in your home.
Great video. Thanks! Your decorations are beautiful. I do like the fox with his scarf! Hi from 🇬🇧
Love the lobster topper!

honestly, one of my absolute favorite château channels ♥️ thank you for such great videos
Pickle. Such a naughty adorable little rascal. Hoping the wreath makes it through the holidays! 🎄❤🌲❤🎅
**Congratulations on 50K subscribers!! Yay!!!
I have a Pickle kitty 😺 too . His name is Melosh , the destroyer of purses, shoes, you name it he has destroyed it ! Love him ❤ regardless of his destruction of my things
So enjoyable on this rainy Sunday! Merry Christmas.

You guys are a hoot.
Lovely tree decorations and I love the wallpaper you chose for your living room.
You have great taste. Your home is coming together beautifully with all the love and attention both you and Lincoln are giving it. Merry Christmas!🎄 💚❤️

There can be something deeply satisfying about undoing knots...
I know knot 😛
wonderful christmas decorations and both the trees are just lovely.
Understated could be one of your middle names! You’re clearly in the right place.
Your wreath is perfect, I was taught to make them the same way. Thankfully our two fur kids have no interest in our trees....😃
Lovely video....really made me feel like Christmas for the first time this year. Thanks!
So glad!

Yep , I do that every year. Its so easy and my Christmas lights never get tangled 👍
#FREELINCOLN
Yes, small piece of cardboard for me. Half a pizza box lid for scale. Always plenty of boxes around Christmas.
Beautiful drone footage. Great start to a great video. Love the wreath. It looks great and I think Pickle agrees. Your decorations are just flawless! Like something out of a magazine.
Happy to hear the fallen tree may be turned into beams and live a new life.

Christmas lobster NEEDS Christmas beaver!
The duo we never knew we needed until now ;)

Ur Christmas trees r beautiful. I just love ur channel and look forward to it. Also I love ur hand-made wreath. Awesome job ❤🎄
I love the wallpaper you picked for the last room with Waffle, everytime I see it I want it !
Yaaay! Lincoln got his Christmas wish for 50,000 subscribers. Now for the miniature donkey!! Congratulations… those subscribers are long overdue.

Another hilarious ad, keep them coming!
How accommodating of the Darragh to take out the tree your needed to come down!
Absolutely lovely!I enjoyed your video so much. Your taste is so clean and fresh. I hope to hear from you again before Christmas.
Amanda and Lincoln, thoroughly enjoy watching your videos! Thanks again! 🎄

Great video! I love all of your decorating touches including the cats & their antics. Your front door with the Christmas lights is lovely. Thank you!🎄
Thanks for sharing about your grand project there and lovely holiday decorations.
I wonder what Pickle would make of the Beaver! The house looks very lovely dressed for the season.
Again a beautiful video! Love the drone shots...and good luck with the kitties and the decorations!
I roll the lights around cardboard rolls to stop them tangling during storage
Joyeaux Noel 🌲 🎄 🌲 🎄 🌲 🎄
Loved it, again! Joyeux Noël 🎄
