I have to change so many habits. Because both my left shoulder buttons are set to jump (I short hop by pressing both at the same time), and shield and grab are on the right one, so you'll see my try to shield, and I'll just grab the air like an idiot.

I pretty much had to learn the game with single joycon, drift included. There were only one or two people I could practice with and learn from that would consistently beat me for the first 6 or so months of the game, and we could only play for about 30-45 minutes every other day at the end of the one high school class we had together. Miraculously, I actually got kind of decent like this. I even managed to go 1-2 instead of 0-2 at my first local last summer 👌

I played with a single joycon at lunch every day at lunch in school for half a year. My friends and I would do local play with 3 switches and six people. Later that year, there was a tournament at our school, and one of my friends entered using only a single joycon.
Ah yes, finally a UA-camr shall admire me.... I have to use a single joycon when I play with my family. I only have two sets of joycons and there's me, my sister, and my parents. Using a single joycon is hard though. XD
