I have owned a 928HS since 2007. It is an awesome machine. It still functions perfectly today. Only mistake I made was spending xtra money on electric start option(120V). It is a HONDA !!. Starts on first pull every time !!
Doug: I also made that mistake. In 1998 i bought a 6500w honda generator, i paid extra (like $200) for the electric starter. I never used it once. So when i bought my snowblower hs928at two years later i made sure not to pay the extra for the starter. 19 years later, it still starts first pull. Like you said....it’s a Honda!! Oh well, we learn from our mistakes.....
I've a 520 single stage a tad older and same starts. And it blows Ariens 'n Toro of same class out of the water for performance. Best 700.00 I've ever spent.
I recently got a early 2000 Honda with tracks, but I live in Indiana where it dosent snow as much as it used too. It is great, but only works with 3 inches or more. Wish I could use it more!
Seems if you don't have tracks there will always be about half an inch or so left, making the trackless models kind of pointless unless theres a way to adjust those metal feet at the bottom.
I just bought a new Honda 724 snow thrower. I am looking for instructions on replacing a broken shear pin or bolt. The manual was not too clear. Thank you.
be awere to get correct shear bolt, there is different quality of bolt hardness 4.6 bolt, 8.8 bolt, 12.9, A4 bolt, it is normally stamped on the bolt head for example 4.6 means 400N/mm2 ultimate strength, and 4x6=240N/mm2 yield strength buy shear bolt where you bought the snowblower, the purpose of shear bolt is thar the bolt suppose to shear NOT the gearbox in centre of your front snowblower
i love the models with tracks but the price is almost double their most expensive competitors. i can’t justify spending that kind of money for essentially the same features/specs.
Good snowblowers are expensive. But if you compare the Honda 28" track drive ($2800) to the ariens rapid track ($3200) to the husqvarna ST 427T ($3000) also track drive, you realize that $2800 for a Honda that will last you 25 years is not such a bad investment after all.

If you only deal with 3 inches of snow.. Get a leaf blower instead.
THE most important step in starting any engine, especially small engines, is.....what, boys and girls?
Check the OIL!!!

What wheeled 2-stage snowblower have you seen without adjustable feet?

You tap out the old bolt and put in a new one and tighten it. It's not rocket science

@@kjell-richardlvdal373 Toros built a tougher gearbox, so shear bolts were not required.
Way too easy to do

You find a 2nd job
Value and low price are often confused.
It takes snow from one place, and throws it to another place
Wow. Ever think of becoming a detective?
Yes, Open your front door and let the snow inside your house.
