Many thanks for your comment. Yes, this airport fits on a bucket list. After I have published plane spotting on Corfu from every day, there will be a summary video where I have the possibility of including a cockpit shot of landing and take-off.
I love this airport. I was there in September and I was sitting on the wall and in the evening I watched from the balcony of the hotel shown in the video.
Negli anni 80 all'inizio della pista per il decollo c'era un incrocio semaforico che bloccava il traffico per non venire investiti dal getto delle turbine dell'aereo pronto in pista a bordo strada. Noi sullo scooter osservavamo delle persone in auto che ci facevano dei gesti strani, ma capimmo solo dopo esser stati rovesciati a terra dalla manovra di un aereo che tutti e 4 i semafori rossi non erano un guasto :)
Both airport are crazy at both you can be very close to aircraft. At St. Maarten you have additional the Jet Blast and at Corfu you have the great view from above restaurants.
Ich war auf Korfu und es ist die kürzeste Landebahn der Welt. Ein Pilot braucht 7 Jahre Erfahrung um dort landen zu dürfen. Unglaubliches Gefühl beim starten… eh das Flugzeug los fährt, gibt der Pilot voll Gas. Ganz anders als sonst.

That's some great spots! Kanoni Parking and Harbour with Monastery seemed to show the best views
